Lady Boss Please Spoil Your Husband - Chapter 409
A single blink was all it took before he disappeared from Faithless Monk’s line of sight.
Faithless Monk expanded his senses to feel his surroundings, but all he felt was empty air.
For him, his opponent seemed to have popped out of existence like a bubble. How could someone completely erase their aura? There’s no plausible explanation for this!
Unbeknown to Faithless Monk, everyone but him can see what’s truly happening. The difference in perspective was the key to discovering Mochi’s hiding place.
Ethan clenched his hand until they turned white at the reminder of how much he suffered from that same ruse.
Without a doubt, this glutinous master of his enjoyed every second he made him and his Commanders suffer under his training. The man’s a f*cking sadist. He’s not only tormenting people physically but mentally as well.
“I’ve figured this particular trait of his is what made you dislike him so much?” His wonderful wife asked beside him, soothing his clenched hand by interlacing her fingers together with his.
Sighing, his wife’s touch was like magic.
“Yes. Although he’d greatly contributed to developing my skills, I just can’t let him slip away without facing us and see how much we improved.” Ethan glared at said man who still hasn’t stopped taunting his opponent.
Ignoring the weird looks he received, he tenderly kissed the back of Lillie’s hand in a silent thank you for comforting him.
What? You haven’t seen same-sex couples before?
Lillie smiled at him and rubbed her thumb over the back of his hand.
Where is he? Faithless Monk was now feeling a bit frantic when he still can’t see his opponent. Where could he possibly hide in this empty stage?
It would’ve been impossible unless he literally dug underground like a mole or went out of bounds.
It was only a few minutes later when he noticed that the area went eerily silent. The audience ceased their wild cheers and whisper among themselves.
He noted that some were pointing and looking above him. Moving only his eyes, he glanced up at the large screen.
Freezing, his eyes widen slowly in realization.
How…has he really been standing behind him this whole time.
“You lose.” Was the last thing he heard before darkness was all he knows.

The scheduled raid was fast approaching, and the match has finally concluded in Mochi’s favor.
After the fight, the plan was that Lillie and Ethan were supposed to intercept Mochi inside his break room to avoid earning unwanted attention for themselves.
Unfortunately, things sometimes just don’t go smoothly as planned.
They hoped to do this subtly, but Mochi just had to be a greedy and conceited old menace.
Lillie expected an outcome like this thanks to Ethan.
The emcee exclaimed excitedly in his microphone, “And with that, ladies and gentlemen! We have our winner—”
“Argh! This was boring!”
The emcee’s words were cut off mid-sentence after being interrupted by Mochi’s loud and condescending complaint.
“What’s up with this setting? Everyone was so weak! And here I thought people have gone stronger since I’ve left.”
“Is our champion unsatisfied?” The emcee asked.
“You bet I am! I didn’t come to this stupid place for the money. I need an outlet for my energy, you hear me?”
“Seeing as our champion is unsatisfied, how about this? Whoever’s brave enough among our lovely audience, now’s the chance to step forward and volunteer to be Mochi’s opponent. If you win, you’ll get to steal his grand prize!”
Tempting as it sounds, no one immediately decides. The audience began to mutter in contemplation, but none made a move to step forward.
“Is this set-up alright with you, dear champion?”
“Eh, fine. Go on, everybody! Come at me!” Mochi gestured with his hand with a haughty air to rile them up to fight him.
Even with Mochi’s aggravatingly boisterous and arrogant personality, no one was baited with his provocations.
They were too frightened. It isn’t worth the risk.
Looks like this bunch of Demons have a sense of self-preservation. They must’ve sensed that this predator was too much for them to handle.
As a teacher, this trait was something Mochi drilled into his former students’ minds.
But right now, he’s a selfish Demon who wants to spill blood. He already permanently took care of his pursuers who were the reason why that witch crashed him with her car. Sadly, that also took out the action he needs.
When he heard about this tournament, he thought he was able to let out some pent-up steam.
Only to be thoroughly disappointed with their performance.
Heck, their strength doesn’t even compare to his usual set of pursuers! And he thought they were already weak!
Is this the consequence of being the strongest? Aiya, what a boring life he lives.
However, there was that one time he was thoroughly defeated. It happened just recently and it wasn’t even from a fight but from a battle between wits and sass.
Now that he was reminded of that day, he remembered that his cute little dango coin purse was still at the grasp of that witch!
“Man, I’m curious how strong he was. But I know when to make a tactical retreat.” Li Yifei commented.
“Really? I haven’t noticed.” Gabriel sarcastically retorted, which earned him a pinch in the thɨġh. “Ow!”
“Eh?” Yifei and Gabriel looked at Ethan and Lillie with wide eyes when they suddenly stood up and started walking down.
“Those two are…” Yifei pointed at their elder siblings.
“Come on, let’s follow them.” Gabriel grabbed his girlfriend’s wrist and tugged her with him down the stairs to catch up on their elder siblings.
“Ga—Daunting Spirit! Don’t make me be the voice of reason this time! They’ll be furious with us!”
“Brother said to not stray away from them, didn’t he?” Gabriel smirked deviously. “Besides, we’re only watching at a closer view. It’s not like we’re joining the fight.”
When did he suddenly become so mischievous? Isn’t she Thrill Seeker? The one who’s supposed to be running towards fire? It’s probably her fault, she tainted him even more with her mischief. More so that he went on ahead and go against his adored elder sister’s words through loopholes!
Li Yifei sighed fondly.. He’s truly her soulmate.
