- Chapter 448: A Volcano Elemental VS A Former Volcano Dragon
POV Vesuvius:
The dragon’s shadow passed over the fields and mountains, only a streak of lightning left in his traces. He could sense all the mana gathering far, far in the distance.
‘Maybe finally some strong elemental?’
He didn’t slow down even as he saw the battles unfold everywhere below him. He trusted his minions, ‘These are battles they can win or at least damage their foes. However, this source of the man must be stopped at any cost.’
The focal point of the gathering mana was getting closer and closer until finally, he braced with his wings and stopped mid-air, his eyes fixed upon a giant smoking volcano.
‘Is this…’
The entire mountain exploded, and rivers of magma flowed out. The burning inferno devoured the nearby forests and pastures in the blink of an eye, and the suffocating vapors hid the red sky.
Ding!

‘You have finally arrived.’
“Dragon, you deserve to die. Your power and poisonous domains are subverting this world.” The words send waves of flames through and thunders in every direction as giant looming eyes of fire open within the smoke clouds.
The surrounding stone, magma, fire, and ash all gathered into a towering form as tall as a mountain. Its skin was dark gray, with rivers of magma flowing in its cracks and crevices. The spinning clouds of ash crackled with lightning as more and more energy gathered in its form.
The amount of mana contained within the elemental was staggering, but Vesuvius didn’t feel even the slightest bit of worry as his power over the volcano elements was absolute.
‘I am the absolute ruler over my elements here.’
Then a bright orange light pierced through the clouds, the rays shining at the elemental. Holy energy soaked into its very form. It transformed right before the dragon’s eyes.
The previously orange fire shifted and turned purple, and the clouds of smoke thickened even more. The sacred energy radiating and spreading together with the heat broke all the dragon’s expectations of being invincible in the upcoming fight.
‘This is no longer just fire. It has become holy fire.’ It wasn’t hard to deduce that the elemental was blessed, raising its power and changing its elements into something else.
The dragon was no longer complacent as the world came to a halt as his mind reached its peak focus. He could feel and sense every droplet of mana elemental energy in his reach as if it were his fingers.
His mind calmly analyzed the situation while his domain and his mana moved. The monstrous elemental bulk, its heavy body of stone signifying its possible weakness, ‘It should be slow. However, I can be sure about it.’
“Burn like you have burned your victims, dragon.” The ground shook, and an explosive shockwave of smoke and fire swept through the countryside, shattering the nearby mountains and toppling all the trees in the kilometers range. The elemental exploded like a volcano, the terrifying force launching it toward the dragon.
The air crackled and burned as the giant fist of stone and fire reached the dragon almost instantly.dαs `n?ν?| сom
The world blurred, and the second explosion of stellar corona burst from the dragon’s wings and propelled him sideways. The burning air, charged with sacred power, washed over the dragon’s armor, searing its surface before he could even erect his barrier.
Simultaneously mana poured and trickled as the semitransparent magic runes orbited around the dragon. The next moment his view changed as he reappeared high in the sky. The atmosphere thinned, and the elemental turned into a dwarf.
‘All this destruction and it is only the begging of the war.’
The ground below him was all torched, with fissures tearing the planet’s crust and geysers of poison and magma gushing out.
‘This can’t continue like this.’ The reality shifted again, and the dragon manifested back in his divine kingdom. A sphere of ash and purple fire rotated below him like a small bubble of reality, isolating the elemental from the kingdom’s power.
As someone with access to both draconic knowledge and lore from his time as a player, he was more than aware of the power the elemental had used.
Elementals, while still inferior to the four balance races, were incarnations of living elements and one of the top races. One of the powers was the elemental world, allowing them to bring shrapnel of their elemental plane with them.
The dragon’s eyes flashed with ferocity and anger at the sneaky attack, but now the world around him was his, with every single molecule and atom.
Another shockwave exploded as the fiery orb contained the elemental shot and raised, towards the dragon, like a reversed meteor. The metal islands and everything in its path melted and vanished. The lightning crackled in the sphere as it sped up even more.
With a single dragon’s thought, his mana exploded out, and his brain cells spun as uncountable, miniature magic arrays filled the entire space. They shone in their bright blue and red colors as they together with the frosty rivers, black background, and the burning solar matter created a space-like scenery.
‘Cursed, amplified variants of elemental cloaks.’
“Drown!” His voice charged with his magic power catalyzed with his domain, magic, and divine kingdoms, all four forces uniting in a single goal.
The flaming sphere was speeding up, turning into a blue and orange blur, the sonic bangs shaking with the remaining islands.
The dragon didn’t even blink as he focused on controlling all the powers around him.
All the spells were finished at once, and waves of black, cursed water expanded and filled his entire divine kingdom within a single blink of a human eye. The burning sun hissed, but its rays and heat harmlessly ignored the water as if it didn’t exist.
The water bubbled and evaporated as the rising volcanic elemental slowed down, its heat pushing back the flood.
‘At last the final nail.’
“Water becomes heavier and denser. The boiling temperature of the water increases.” A trickle of golden divine energy leaked from his heart and seeped into the environment. The new laws and rules of his divine kingdom took their effect.
Instantly, the rising flaming sphere came to a halt.
“Be crushed!” His words resonated with his domain, amplifying each other’s powers. The dragon’s will grabbed and moved every single droplet of the water and pushed against the ball of fire, ash, and magma.
The crushing wave descended upon the elemental, shirking and crushing its protective bubble as if it was a tin can.
‘Hah?’ Vibrations passed through his divine kingdom as an immense force crashed against it.
‘Something is trying to get inside.’ He could feel the fire elemental radiating power like a beacon. It was dragging something into his divine kingdom.
