Last Egg: Reincarnated as a Dragon in a Game - Chapter 460: Welcome
Everything was over as the immensely evil and dark aura spread—its oppressive force extinguishing all the light and turning the sky into a seamlessly endless sea of crimson-red fire.
The gate of light collapsed into itself like a crushed tin can by the unstoppable forces of darkness.
The regenerating Vesuvius could only feel awe as the monumental cloud of darkness and fire morphed into a draconic form and solidified, forming shiny red scales with golden trim. The seven heads growled, each crowned by crowns of shadows, the golden and red gems shining like stars, their radiance ignoring the darkness surrounding the dragon.
Fourteen red eyes scanned the battlefield, each head looking in a different direction. The battle stopped, no one even daring to move.
‘This aura… how large would their stats have to be to make it feel like this?’
The next moment, the demonic dragon’s eyes flashed red, and all the nukes and angels exploded into small balls of red fire and darkness, their light extinguished forever by the overwhelming demonic force.
‘Will they keep their word?’ For a moment, Vesuvius even regretted bringing such a monster into the primary plane.
It was over, all the foes gone after a single evil gaze of the fallen dragon, the being that managed to reach the pinnacle of strength as both a dragon and a demon.
Satanael’s wrathful voice resounded, carried through the entire world, the ground shaking and hurricanes forming. “Good, young dragon, your blood has brought me onto this world. Now, I can once again expand my domain over all the fools who dared to stand against me all the years back. Let the flames of wrath burn the mortal gods and their slaves! In the future, I will repay this debt.”
The beast dissolved into thick black tar-like liquid and vanished, absorbed into the world’s soil. All the grass vanished, scorched away, and the soil reddened, replacing the woods and pastures far and wide with the lifeless red, hellish landscape.
‘What now?’ Vesuvius didn’t know as the battle was over, and a terrifying evil was unleashed. All he knew was he needed to get stronger, much stronger and fast on top of that.
‘If I will in the future need to fight something like this and win, then I need to get much stronger.’ Luckily, he already had his way that would massively boost his power.
‘Usurping authority of space, maybe even time, and combining it with the upcoming triple evolution in addition gaining a path toward the title of a dragon king and maybe even using my time power to speed up my aging to reach the ancient stage.’ He didn’t know how powerful it would make him, but he was sure he would likely be able to squash his current self without even trying.
The tired voice of the dead dragon brought him back to reality. “The war has started now. I shall return to guard and protect my kingdom.”
Vesuvius looked through the battlefield and sighed at his fallen allies.
POV The Evil Blonde Guy:
“What have just happened? Was that what I think it was?”
For the first time, the blonde man lost his composure, his entire world shattered.
“What did that lizard unleash?”
His hands trembled as he remembered the vile creature of darkness that tricked him, even that paling in comparison with what he had witnessed today.
All the people in the entire room were pale and silent, the atmosphere of absolute desperation and terror perpetrating.
‘This can’t be.’ Everyone knew the being that manifested and crawled out of the demonic pit. It was a being whose name was known across both worlds, symbolizing the absolute evil, endless anger, and almost god-like power they couldn’t even dream of fighting.
“I need fresh air.” The blonde man stood up and stumblingly walked towards the tall arch of the doorway—lightheaded as if he was going to collapse at any second.
POV The Traitor:
The black-haired demon woman slowly stumbled before them, blood flowing out of her injury, each of her steps bringing her painful groans. The seamlessly endless corridors of black marble only increase their nervousness. It was like an unending hellish maze, the air getting hotter and hotter the longer they walked.
“How far? If you are deceiving us, then you are dead!”
“N-not that far. I am not deceiving you. It is just deep in the mountains as it is too precious to be left unprotected.”
Hirohito-Nagahito-Pokemon already doubted if they had made a grave mistake. They have offended a great and terrifying power, ‘No, we would never get something precious like that marrow. In the end, we were always equivalent to part-time workers.’
He envied the players who joined the dragon in the early stages as they now had power and influence, while he, who used to be a powerful high-level player, was degraded and outrun by the previously weak and low-level players.
He gripped his weapon tighter as the hallway opened into a vast chamber filled with tables. His eyes curiously swept through the ticking contraptions, shining magic gems, and, to his surprise, even something that looked like integrated circuits strewn on them.
‘It looks like she didn’t deceive us. This place really looks like it would keep something like that. Still, why is it so large?’ He couldn’t help but wonder what was the point of the workshop being so large and the ceiling so tall when all the tools and tables were only around the walls.
“Huh? Who have you brought here?” Another female voice came from deeper in the chamber.
All the players tensed their weapons, lighting up with mana and lifeforce.
“Be ready!”
Then, a short girl with emerald horns crowning her head showed up, her eyes ominously shining in the dimly lit room. A gentle smile on her face did nothing to dispel his worry.
However, his friends already relaxed, realizing it was just the little elf that always wandered around.
“Ohh, it is just that enchanter. For a moment, I thought that demon tricked us!”
“Hahaha, you are right!”
Even with his friends laughing and dropping his guards, Hirohito-Nagahito-Pokemon felt like something was wrong.
‘She is just a minister of industry or something. No one ever saw her fighting so why am I so scared.’
His senses and intuition were always sharp, and now they were both screaming at him with danger.
The demon woman turned to them as she straightened her back as if the injury no longer hindered her—her eyes brightly shining, “Look at what traitors were sneaking around.”
Immediately, the smile vanished from the elve’s face, and his blood froze in his veins. He didn’t know why or how, but he was sure he was going to die, and very gruesomely on top of that.
