POV Pyromaniac:
His red cloak rustled as he marched down the black corridor, the crystal safely stored inside his storage ring. He couldn’t even comprehend how it got there! The last time he was aware, he just put the VR helmet on his head, and somehow the crystal traveled with him.
He could hardly keep his flames in check; his reward and the reward for his master were already almost in their grasp.
‘Who would have thought that the VR helmet could also bring physical objects with it?’
“Let me through. I have something for their Majesty—something they would want to see.”
His destination was already within reach, only the one last gate of black steel and gold separating him from the portal. The moment he approached it, the glowing blades of the long halberds blocked his path.
‘Those must be the koborcs I have heard of… they are truly large.’ Their bulky, heavy armor, their height easily dwarfing even the tallest humans, and their crystal wings and horns all joined to create the image of a perfect killing machine.
“Stop right now! Their Majesty…”
The words remained stuck in the guard’s throat as the mesmerizingly dark gem with glowing dots of lights akin to galaxies, floating inside, manifested in his hand.
The unusually strong koborcs stood their guard, unable to even look away from it.
The pyromaniac could understand their reaction as they all inherited the ability to smell a value from their blood master. The gem was so expensive it made them almost drool, but none of them moved as they knew it belonged to their master.
‘What will I even gain for bringing in something like this?’
“Go in before someone steals it! Their Majesty will surely not mind you entering with this!”
POV Vesuvius:
“What is this, my minion?”
The huge dragon could hardly keep his composure in the presence of the dark gem seemingly containing stars and galaxies on the inside.
He wanted to just snatch it away and lick it, but he couldn’t do something so shameful when observed.
“Well done, my minion. I will richly reward you. Now, leave me, I need to verify the purpose of this gem.”
The minion bowed and left, the dragon easily catching his fastened heartbeat.
‘He probably expects some good reward. Well, he deserves it.’
Vesuvius slightly lowered his long neck toward the now silently resting gem on the ground.
‘Let’s see what you are.’

‘That is too much of question-marks for my liking.’
Suddenly, darkness poured out of the gem, bright dots of light shining in it akin to the stars in the night sky. The shadow morphed and moved, shapeshifting into a blurry, vaguely humanoid silhouette of darkness and stars.
The dragon hurriedly retracted his head as he flapped his wings, his domain spinning and forming a barrier of frost and solar corona.
‘Was this some kind of trick to smuggle in a weapon? Maybe a bomb?’
The only thing that stopped him from immediately attacking were the two links between him and the being—one from his blood and the second one from something in his soul.
‘The same kind of connection I felt when I met the god of death.’
The shadowy lifeform opened its mouth, and a distorted voice came out, “Hello, at last, we meet personally.”
‘So we have met but not personally… Wait a second! Is it possible?’
“You are the administrator.”
“Yes, it’s me in my glorious form!”
To the dragon’s surprise, the aura of the being, no its presence, was weak. It didn’t exude the power he would expect of a being of such caliber. It didn’t even come close to what he felt from the dragon, death, and crystal gods. Even Satanel’s aura was much stronger.
“What do you want?” Vesuvius didn’t disperse his barrier. Instead, his guard grew even stronger as he couldn’t even begin to grasp its intention.
“I was invited to join the fun. I can’t let my siblings steal it all! I also want to come and blow up stuff!”
“What?! Why?!”
“Let’s make a big mess! Even that lunatic, Crystal, is here! Only the eldest is not here. How could I miss this opportunity?”
‘Siblings? Crystal? Is it possible this thing is also related to the dragon god?’
“So we are relatives?”
“Yes, so let me stay over. I am currently weak after spending all my power to start the system; I need a place to safely watch it and enjoy the madness that will descend upon this world!”
‘Is this how it feels to have an unannounced relative arrive at midnight, wanting to stay over for an undisclosed amount of time while devouring the contents of your fridge on top of potentially being wanted by the police?’
Relationship with them could lead him to enticing rewards.
‘If they are truly what they are saying they are, then having them Seeing the dragon’s silence, the being didn’t relent as it flew up and down like a ball, “Greedy as expected of a dragon. Not even letting their poor relatives stay over.”
“How did you even get here?”
“I smuggled myself through a quest!”
The dragon remained silent while the administrator rotated on the spot in a swirling vortex. He couldn’t trust, believe, or like the suspicious being. However, on the other hand, establishing a good relationship with them could lead him to enticing rewards.
‘If they are truly what they are saying they are, then having them within my reach might be the best option. At least I can keep a watch on them in case they try something nefarious.’
“You can stay.”

‘This dumbass is supposed to be the god of knowledge?! How?! They are acting more like the god of chaos or something like that.’ Even though he wanted to say it loud, Vesuvius closed his mouth and kept silent, his eyes almost shining as he could already imagine the profit of working with the being behind the system.
“I can tell what you are thinking, Vesuvius, but I will tell you one thing. I wasted all my juice on the system. I don’t have enough juice to affect it too much. Hoho, but don’t worry, my knowledge is still priceless on its own.”
