Last Shelter Online - Chapter 193 Guild War Preparation 1
It was already 7 pm when Hiro left Liberty’s house using the back door. If it weren’t for a notification reminding him that the guild wars launching event would open tonight, Hiro would have chosen to stay with Liberty a bit longer.
He immediately rushed to the Everlasting guild base after sending notification messages to all his guild members, asking them to gather at 8 pm to prepare the things needed for the first guild war event after the end of the trial period. This time, the victory of the guild war determined the fate of the joining guild.
The guild war in the Last Shelter Online was cross-server. All the guilds officially registered on all servers in the game would fight one on one randomly. Even so, there was still the possibility of guilds from the same server to meet in the battle arena that had been prepared by the system.
In order to equalize the time that could be used to strategize by each guild, the new system would show which guild would be their opponent on that night. It was decided within an hour before the fight started.
“Boss, we’ve all gathered here. Some can’t log in due to real-world business. Only seven people were absent. The rest are online. There are 40 people,” BigShow immediately reported to Hiro when he just came to join other guild members who had already gathered at the outdoor base. The bar was temporarily closed tonight.
“Thirty more minutes until the opponent’s guild is revealed. You better prepare yourself with your own needs first.” Hiro explained, then sat down on the high chair in front of the bar counter before Wheelie.
Noah came over to Hiro with two books in his hand. One was Hiro’s book, which looked like an antique item, and the other was a thin notebook..
“I’ve copied down everything. It looks like you won’t be able to collect them that easily, but I know that you won’t listen to me.” Noah shoved the two books back into Hiro’s hands and then nodded. He sat on the empty seat next to Hiro, which had been prepared for the main party members.
“Thank you for helping me translate it, Noah.” Hiro said sincerely as he put the two books back into his inventory.
“It’s best if Everlasting wins tonight or I’ll kill you.” Noah sighed, sounding a little annoyed. Hiro just nodded briefly. He didn’t know what made his co-leader upset like that.
After trying the trial version of the guild war a few days ago, Hiro already knew how the event worked. He had also prepared the best strategy to win the guild war.
In the 1vs1 guild war event, all online players in both guilds would be teleported into a battle arena by force within fifteen minutes before the guild war started.
Meanwhile, in the battle arena, it reminded Hiro of a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game genre. Each guild had three paths to reach a main base in their territory, which was shaped like a giant tower. The main base had to be guarded. If the building was destroyed by the opponent, then the guild was considered lost.
In each path to the main base, there were three guard towers each that had to be destroyed first because they were able to shoot lasers and kill the opponent players who tried to approach the building.
In one day, there would be three rounds with three different opponent guilds. The winner would give a score of 100 while the loser would give a score of -100. Every month, the 5 guilds with the highest guild war scores would get special spots in the five largest cities in the Last Shelter Online.
For the facilities, the owner of the special spots would get everything inside the city, including the exclusive titles for all guild members. The name of the city would be given a special sign using the guild logo. Besides, all the hidden events in the city could be accessed by all the members of the guild winner on certain days.
For the first month of the guild war, of course, Hiro wanted to bring Everlasting to be one of the winners. Besides, the five guilds’ winner would have their names displayed as the owners of the five major cities on the entire server, and not just in North America.
“All right, let’s arrange the plan. My party will attack and defend the middle lane and roam around there, while BigShow’s party will defend the bottom lane with 5 tanks. Players with level 60-70, you can help us power up the tower by farming in the top lane.” Hiro was still using the strategy he felt was most effective when he tried it during the trial period.
“All rogues must be roaming around and kill them if you can. Mages and barbarians, please focus on destroying the tower.”
“Clerics, please watch your spot and don’t get killed.” Hiro looked at Wheelie, who was looking at him with a frown. This time, Wheelie was much more determined and confident in her strength after Hiro told her to train so hard that he was repeatedly scolded by Cara.
Even so, thanks to Wheelie’s efforts and hard work, the girl had become a very useful cleric and was part of the strongest party of Everlasting.
“Yes, Sir!” they exclaimed in unison. It was apparent on their faces that they were very excited and wanted to go to the guild war right away.
“Prepare your buff. If you don’t have money right now, ask Jacob’s help. We have our guild bank for everyone here.”
Hiro immediately took out the transparent screen in front of him, using a flick of his finger. He checked the online marketplace and planned to buy some buffs he needed to win the guild war.
After all the guild members had done their preparations as ordered by Hiro, finally the time for the announcement of which guild would be their opponent came out.
And of the three hundreds of officially registered guilds, the name of the guild that appeared as Everlasting’s first opponent tonight was…
[Everlasting – North America Server]
[VS]
[Exalted – North America Server]
Hiro swallowed hard after seeing the guild’s name. And he wasn’t the only one who fell silent when seeing the announcement.
Noah patted Hiro’s shoulder lightly, then brought his face closer to Hiro.
“Don’t blame me if I accidentally kill your girl, NightFall,” Noah whispered while nodding his head.
“Exalted? Seriously? That’s an elite player’s guild, right? How can we win?” DarkHell, a male player mage with level 70, exclaimed with an annoyed expression on his face.
“Ah, what a lousy draw!”
“Don’t worry. We have NightFall here, WynterRain’s Brother. He’s our power!” BigShow always believed that the leader of Everlasting was indeed the strongest in the game. He tried to convince the guild members who looked desperate since they knew who would be their opponent.
“Hiro, what do you say?” Jacob didn’t know how to react. He also did not expect to face such a tough opponent on the first day.
Hiro looked at the Everlasting members until they fell silent again. His gaze still didn’t change one bit. The gaze of a winner.
“Don’t worry. We can do this, but we changed the plan.”
“What?!”
“How?”
