Leader Of The Trapped Ones - Chapter 5
The blond smiled back. His white teeth showed, making his smile boxy like. He looked friendly, but he didn’t smell like it. He smelled like blood and Rassa. Blood spelled out the word dangerous. He also had another smell, but Rassa scent covered it so I couldn’t sense it. Rassa smelled like him too with a little bit of sweat. She too was also smiling, however from I knew that smile held.
“We mean no harm, Onyx we were just suggesting that Qihn should stand,” Rassa spoke up.
“Yes, we meant no harm.” The blond repeated what Rassa had just said. “My name is Finn.” He flashed a quick smile, before turning to the crowd to the side of him. “Do we mean any harm?
The crowd quickly nodded their heads sideways, satisfying Finn.
Finn giggled “Well this is awkward, so let me get straight to it, we are searching for Paradise, the city without zombies. Though I know you might have figured that out.” He paused. I could feel Finn’s icy blue eyes searched my face, looking for something. “We need your help to clear the path. In return, you can have the energy gems that drop from the zombies that you kill and anyone in this room that you want. Like a mercenary.”
I could feel the air tense up. Opening my mouth, I was about to say Qihn before I stopped myself. My brow raised by themselves and my nose twitched. There were some good smells in here.
“How many can I take?” I responded, scanning over the room. I scrunched up my nose. I had located the four people.
“Five,” Finn responded. “That should be enough to satisfy you.”
“Them,” I said, pointing to two young female adults and two males, one had the same build as Qihn and looked around his age and the other a young adult. The young man looked like my guards while the teenager had striking mint hair. They all smelled like lavender, a scent that I liked. “And Qihn of course”
“Your wish is my command, darling,” He smiled again. I shuddered at the nickname. I really wanted to kill the man.
“Haun, Kilu, and Rachel grab them.” The woman sitting next to Rassa and the men who sat at the opposite side stood up and went into the crowd roughly grabbing the people I picked out.
“Don’t handle them like that. I don’t like my stuff broken,” I growled. I could see the three piglets tremble a little at my growl.
“No, I don’t want to go, please you said we would all go to Paradise, you promised Finn.” One of the two women screamed however Finn acted as if he did hear her. “Don’t sell me to the devil please…” The three henchmen placed the four human to my side and returned to their sits.
I scanned them. The two men were trembling, and the one who was talking was already crying. However, the other female seemed excited, weird.
“Anyways, we have fulfilled our part. I hope we have a great alliance. We were thinking off leaving today, but I don’t think you in the best health to do that, right.”
“No, we can leave today. I’m fine…” I said but was interrupted.
“No your not. When I changed you, your body was so damaged, that I wonder how you were able to fight those zombies and save me.” Rassa said. “I think it for the best if you.”
“I said I am fine, ” I growled.
Rassa expression fluctuated again. Her usual smile was replaced by anger. She really wasn’t good at hiding her feelings. It seemed that Finn saw it too as he quickly spoke up. “Then let’s go. Paradise waits for no one. Kilu, go grab the supplies.” Finn quickly ordered. “Grab the extra ones too for our dear Onyx.”
Kilu, the man who was sitting next to Finn sat up and left to go to the elevator, following him I saw Cied and some other that I didn’t know. Sniff in Cied scent, he also smelled like Rassa.
“While we wait, Onyx, that’s such a fashionable hoodie and bag where did you get it. I know the mall has been already raided so such an item should be had to find.” Finn asked excitedly like a little kid who just got 3.5 experimental candy.
“Qihn gave it to me,” I replied. I didn’t want them knowing about my hunt.
“Is that so Qihn?” It was Rassa who asked.
hesitated and look at me before nodding. “Yes, Miss Rherassa. I-It was a thank you gift from me. I-I hope you don’t mind.”
I could feel a smirk come on my lips. He went along with the lie. Calming myself down, I patted Qihn lap before standing up.
“Where are you going?” Rassa asked. Ignoring her, I spoke. “Follow me.” Qihn quickly got up from his sit and the four people followed. I had an experiment to try out, but not in front of them.
“We’ll meet you outside. You can send someone to come collect them if you want or we can bring them to you.” Finn promptly added. Nodding my head, I pushed the door open I went to the middle of the street several blocks away and sat down on the floor. Crossing my legs and folding my arms I stared at the people. The four were bewildered by my actions.
“What are your names?” I inquired.
One young male looked me in the eyes for a few seconds before looking away. “Why should we tell a devil our name?”
“Because I kill you if you don’t.” I was done talking rationally and just spat out whatever came to mind. It seemed to do the trick.
The other male pushed the younger head down and bowed. The girls followed. He said while bowing, “My name is Marvin, this is Derek, and those two girls are Peyton and Destiny. Destiny is the one who cried if your wondering, Miss Onyx.”
“Stand up,” I said while thinking. “Marvin, go back into the building and get the bag of supplies, tell them I want three they should have enough. And you Derek, follow him. ” The two men quickly followed my orders and left.
Looking at the two women, they looked back at me. I smiled. “Come closer.”
Destiny dragged her feet while Peyton quickly walked over. “Kneel,” The two obeyed and squatted down. “Say Ahh.” Grabbing two gems from my bag, I swiftly shoved it into their mouths. Their eyes widened. They started choking, trying to remove the gems, but they failed. Destiny started to cry again, while Peyton just looks at me with amusement. I hate the sound of crying.
“If they consumed an energy gem like Qihn, would there scent become better?” I wondered, sniffing their scent. “Nope nothing, maybe it needs a while.”
“Why would you do that?” Destiny yelled while looking at me. They were both still squatting, so they were at my eye level. “Do you want us to become zombies?” I titled my head. I had forgotten about that.

“I kill you if you do turn, so don’t,” I responded sharply, looking at Destiny in interest.
“Why was it so high?” I thought. Both eyes were widened because of my reply. “Now stand and wait.”
“Will you do the same for Qihn too?” Destiny asked minutes after.
“I already did,” I lied. Destiny responded by smiling which brightened her face. I looked closely at her. She would have looked pretty if not for the tears and snot that covered it.
“Come here.” I motioned my fingers at Qihn. With my nose enchantment, the lavender scent was getting too much. Qihn, who had been watching all of this, wobbled over. “Sit.” obeyed.
“Am I going to a gem t-too?” He mumbled.
“No, just sit here, next to me.” Qihn nodded so fast I thought his head would fall off. Looking at the door, I waited for the two that I sent in to come out. As if they had heard my thoughts, the boys turned the corner with three backpacks. Following them was Finn and his crew.
Standing up I dusted myself and waited for them to come over.
