Leading system - Chapter 62:Reinforcements Arrived
About 5,000 kilometers away from the city of Adrodon, about 10 transport ships containing frigates, various mechs and infantry troops led by a battle spaceship of Elodros national army were heading towards Adrodon city.
A few days earlier, the HQ of Elodros army stopped getting any transmissions from Adrodon city. The HQ had sent these troops in order to check the condition of the city and take back the city from the opposing forces if the city had been taken over.
……
Inside the command centre of the battle spaceship,
“How much time before we reach there?”,the commanding officer asked with a frown on his face.
“There is still about five thousand kilometres of distance. It will take about one more hour for the whole fleet to reach the city.”, one of the lower ranked officers answered.
“Once we are 1,000 kilometers away from the city, release the reconnaissance frigates.”, he spoke again.
……..
Lucas was a major in the Elodros planetary army. He was at the HQ when the transmission with Adrodon city was cut off. He had a bad premonition when this happened and wanted to come to Adrodon city.
But due to the constant attacks of Xamoid army troops and standard procedures of waiting for a fixed period of time before sending troops to any possibly taken over city, he had no other choice than to wait.
The moment the required time had passed, hr had started to move towards the Adrodon city with his legion of 15,000 infantry troops, 10,000 frigates and 10,000 mechs.
…….
The preparations had been going well in the HQ that had been built outside the city. Bikash had Aldo bought a high grade barrier for the city and the HQ. It cost him 100 million points for the barrier for HQ and 500 million points for the barrier for the city.
The mechs were in formation and the frigates were ready to take off. Faint outlines of the arriving battleships and transport ships could be seen. The frigates started flying and headed towards the enemy troops. The mechs also started going towards the coming battlefield.
Bikash was silently observing this from his office in HQ. He then turned to Carmen who was beside him and said,”Carmen, commence the attack on Vul city.” Carmen nodded and went outside the room while Bikash continued observing.
The reconnaissance frigates of the Elodros troops had already verified that the city had been seized. They had relayed this information to the battleship and then to the HQ.
More reinforcements were already on their. Since it was near impossible to send a lot of troops but they still sent the standard reinforcements to Adrodon city just as any other city which had been seized by Xamoid or was under attack by Xamoid planetary troops.
Bikash was pretty confident about his victory. After all, the basic skill he had given to his troops through knowledge crystals was similar to the experience of a veteran.
Bikash had already begun planning his next step which was setting up factories and producing more mechs and frigates. He also didn’t forget about the factories to produce civilian products as the stock of food was finishing up in Adrodon city and the various cars machines and equipments had already been rendered useless.
“System, what are my options for setting up factories?”, he asked.
” Boom!!”… “Boom!! ” Distant explosions could be heard. ‘It has finally begun.’,he thought while once again talking to the system.
[ Ding.. Host can buy Basic or Intermediate or Advanced factory. All host has to do is find a steady source of materials, blueprints and workers and the things could be produced. ]
“What is the difference between these types?”, he asked.
[ Ding.. The difference is it’s size and production capability. Each tier has twenty times the production capability of that of the earlier tier. ]
“Show me their prices.”
———————
1) Basic factory – 250,000,000 points
2) Intermediate factory – 2,000,000,000 points
3) Advanced factory – 50,000,000,000 points
———————-
Bikash pondered for a bit before buying 5 intermediate factories and 40 basic factories. It cost him twenty billion points altogether.
Bikash then checked a few details like the number of workers required in each factory and the area it would occupy.
————-
1) Basic factory
Area occupied : 1 square kilometer
Required workers : 2,500
2) Intermediate factory
Area occupied : 5 square kilometers
Required workers : 20,000
3) Advanced factory
Area occupied : 25 square kilometers
Required workers : 75,000
—————
Bikash planned on making the humans and people both work in the factory. The people would be working for about ten hours whereas the worker robots will take their place after they were off duty. In this way, he could provide employment to the people who didn’t have talent for managing people or becoming a soldier and also keep the factories running continuously.
Bikash then went through the various blueprints that were available in the system shop. The survey he had done after conquering the city was pretty helpful. People had written what they needed in that and Bikash was buying blueprints on the basis of that. He bought blueprints of various home appliances, transport vehicles within the city, etc.
He had bought altogether 40 of these civilian machines. He was planning on using the basic factories to produce these items whereas the intermediate factories would be used to manufacture military weapons, frigates, mechs and spaceships.
The whole city was in panic while listening to the noises from the battlefield about 700 kilometers away from the city. Bikash didn’t pay heed to any of this and released another statement directed towards all the people in the city.
“Hello everyone. No need to worry. This will all be over soon and I don’t doubt that we will be victorious in this and any other future battles. The reason for this broadcast is for the ones who are sitting at home doing nothing and wish to earn money and support their family just like the soldiers that have recently been recruited. Well, here is your chance. I will be opening different factories and there will be work for everyone that wishes to work. If you are interested, come to the army HQ tomorrow. I reckon the battle will be over by then.”
Various families saw a ray of hope because of this speech. They were sure that their lives would change. The confidence with which Bikash spoke, they no longer had a doubt that something would happen to them and even though the opposing faction faction was their own planetary country, they wanted their city lord’s army to win.
