League of the Unkillable Demon King - chapter 44
Chapter 44: Where Did My Health Bar Go?
When Chen Mu returned to base once more, he had a Youmuu’s Ghostblade, Sword of the Occult, and Ninja Tabi on him. The enemy team was sticking together like mad. Chen Mu temporarily did not join his team. If it were a teamfight that his team was sure to lose, it was absolutely unwise for him to choose to fight.
Chen Mu pushed top lane all the way to the second tower and then disappeared from the enemy wards’ line of sight. At this time, according to conventional thought, Chen Mu should regroup with his team for a team fight.
However to really master the game, one needed to think out of the box. Nobody could take Chen Mu on in a PK, and they definitely had to group up to fight him. Nevertheless, the top lane could not be neglected, so a champion would definitely appear.
The friendly mid lane tower’s health was down to 20%. Hence, the enemy would not be willing to let it go. Therefore, Chen Mu quietly waited in the brush above the Red Buff. No matter who came, they would give him two stacks for his Sword of The Occult.
The person who appeared was Nurse Akali, with a short cooldown on her E, her wave clear was pretty fast. Thus, she could quickly return to her team.
When Akali saw the minions at top lane, her mouth began to water. However, her screen turned black and white all of a sudden, and there was only a body for Prince to step over.
Akali: [Prince can oneshot me, I need to get Zhonya’s.]
“I don’t believe I can’t end his win streak. At the end of the day, this is a team game. Kill his teammates, we’ll see what he can do.” Varus had yet been oneshotted by Prince and was well equipped. Hence, if Prince dared to come, he would be dead in 5 seconds.
When the enemy gained the advantage, the most important thing Chen Mu had to do was avoid following their tempo. When they wanted to team fight, he definitely could not take the bait. When the enemy sent someone to push a lane, his team had to take them on with superior numbers.
What was tempo could be described as the enemy team cooperating with one’s plans. For example, when at an advantage and the enemy team accepts a teamfight, when a team manages to siege a tower, rotate to dragon, return to base to buy items, and repeat the cycle, as well as take Baron Nashor in one go.
Chen Mu managed to disrupt his enemy’s tempo by killing Akali. They now had no way of continuing their push. That was because if they were to fight it out, it would be a 4v5. It would be very risky, and they would someone to respond to top lane again. Their advancement was delayed by 3 minutes.
Chen Mu had Bladesman on the team, and even though the person was playing rather badly, if he could get some damage, he would be of use. Even though the person had died a lot, 5 items would be enough for them to easily kill the fully equipped ADC. That was the specialty of the champion.
Chen Mu was waiting for an opportunity. He was waiting for an opportunity when the Varus left the team. At that time, the best person to farm the minion wave at top lane was Varus, it was definitely no problem if the enemy team let Varus continue to grow.
Nevertheless, Varus was very cautious. He recalled, bought his items, and then walked over in a straight line over. He was worried that Prince was still waiting in the jungle.
When he reached the second tower, Prince suddenly appeared. Varus was so surprised that his mouse cursor jumped, and he unleashed his ultimate in a rush.
However, the moment he did so, Chen Mu Flashed behind him and activated his Youmuu’s Ghostblade. Then, he killed him in a few attacks.
Killing the ADC within 3 seconds under the tower!
Varus: [That Prince must be insane, he was still in the jungle!] Even though he was fat in terms of items, because of the nature of ADC champions, he had very little health and armor. Hence, Prince did not even need to use his ultimate to kill him instantly.
Chen Mu had counted on his enemy making a mistake. The enemy did not calculate damage the same way as he did. Prince had used his ultimate to kill Akali. Therefore, Varus lowered his guard upon the impression that a Prince with only E and Q could not kill him.
Shen: [Looks like he’s incurable with our standard of doctors.]
When Chen Mu returned to base, he thought for a moment before he chose to buy an Infinity Edge!
The only carry in the enemy team was Varus. Chen Mu had killed all of the other champions before. The moment the enemy’s ADC died in the team fight, there would be no more continuous damage. Even if he played brainlessly and simply used his skills that did not need much thought to be put into them, his team would definitely win.
However in team fights, Varus would be very well protected, and he probably would not be caught alone. Therefore Chen Mu could only forcefully oneshot him!
Chen Mu had delayed the enemy team’s tempo. He was waiting for his Sheriff to acquire Last Whisper and Youmuu’s-both of which were armor penetration items.
As long as he used his ultimate during the beginning of teamfights to peel for his ADC, it would be more than enough. Chen Mu was not hoping for Chen Yifei to be able to dish out a lot of damage. Instead, it was good enough just to have an extra person.
Chen Mu immediately bought an Oracle’s Elixir and cleared the wards he passed by on the map. He waited in brushes, and the enemy team did not dare push one at a time. Hence, they thought of fighting as a team in mid lane.
Chen Mu was waiting in a lateral brush like a leopard waiting for its prey.
Varus: [Protect me in the teamfight, Prince is useless if I’m not isolated.]
Shen: [Okay. Whoever dares touch you, I’ll immediately pop my ultimate.]
Shen’s ultimate, Stand United, could shield a champion; it was a targeted spell. Using it on Varus would definitely be the right choice. The Sheriff on the other team had armor penetration items, but she was useless without attack speed.
A teamfight broke out!
Chen Mu gave the signal for his teammates to engage.
Varus stood at the back of his team, and he felt very safe.
However a second later, his screen turned black and white.
Varus’ mouth was wide open. Varus: [Shen where was your ultimate?]
Shen: [I couldn’t make it in time, I didn’t even see how you died.]
Varus: [That’s right, where did my health bar go?] Varus thought that the game was bugged. It was only then did he see a tall, rich and handsome Prince come out of a brush. His EQ combo was so fast that it was terrifying. After a golden Flash, his health bar was gone.
Chen Mu had used his E, Q, and R. Prince’s ultimate dealt 1000 damage, and if it hit critically, it would deal another 1000 damage. In addition to the 20 armor penetration points from Youmuu’s Ghostblade, Varus was killed instantly.
Chen Mu’s move had its own risks. That was because if Varus’ reflexes had been on par with Chen Mu’s level, he could have Flashed away to avoid the damage of his ultimate.
While Prince was still in the air, using Flash allowed one to avoid the former’s damage. It was a very scary point.
It was fortunate that the enemy did not have such godly reflexes. Chen Mu believed that in the future, the pros in his ranked games would have such kind of reflexes.
[We lost, Prince is too strong.]
[We can’t play, a god can really carry 4 deadweights.]
All of them gave up, their main damage dealer had died even under the protection of four people. How could they continue to play the game?
Varus’ death signaled a catastrophic defeat. Bladesman’s had increased speed, Sheriff had her ultimate, and Prince had his EQ combo, there was nowhere to run.
The enemy’s Nexus was destroyed. It was too bad that at Chen Yifei’s current matchmaking level, she could not score 10 kills.
When it was time to leave the cyber cafe, Chen Yifei was clearly very unhappy. Chen Mu rejected a slew of friend requests and caught up with her.
Chen Mu felt that he had to teach the little girl that it was okay to play games, but she also had to maintain her results.
“Yifei, I brought you to play so many games, so it’s time for you to study hard. In your next exams you need to climb at least 10 spots,” Chen Mu said.
“All roads lead to Rome, why do I have to rely on studies. Do you see that beggar by the side of the road, the phone in his hand looks like the latest Fruit smartphone. It looks like the golden premium version,” Chen Yifei said as she saw a shabbily dressed beggar at the side of the road.
Chen Mu followed her gaze and there really was a beggar using a state of the art Fruit smartphone.
‘This won’t do, right now Chen Yifei seems to only have money on her mind and that’s not good’
“Follow me and let’s ask him, maybe he borrowed the phone or picked it up,” Chen Mu said as he walked over to the beggar.
“Hello, if I may ask, you have a Fruit smartphone that’s worth over 8000 yuan, why are you still begging?” Chen Mu asked politely. It was definitely not logical, ‘a beggar like you who isn’t handicapped obviously can’t draw the sympathy of others. Furthermore, you’re using a Fruit smartphone, who would still give you money.’
The beggar only smiled and said, “Give me 2 bucks, and I’ll tell you.”
Chen Mu thought about it. 2 Yuan was not very little, but to get the answer from the beggar, it was affordable. Chen Mu took out 2 coins and gently placed them in the broken old bowl in front of him.

“Because 4000 people previously asked a question similar to yours. That’s the advantage of the internet information age,” the beggar said.
“…” Chen Mu turned and told Chen Yifei, “See, without knowledge, this beggar managed to pull a trick on us. With knowledge, even a beggar can find the road to riches.”
Chen Mu hurriedly pretended as though it had been intentional. Chen Mu wanted to educate Chen Yifei, he had been aware of the beggar’s trick. Yeah, that was it.
“…” Chen Yifei once more saw Chen Mu’s thick-skinned face and smiled helplessly. She immediately made her way back home.
“Hey, wait up.” Chen Mu wanted to get his money back, but he could not open his mouth. He could only tell himself that he had learned something and rushed to catch up with Chen Yifei.
