League of the Unkillable Demon King - chapter 46
Chapter 46: Love Letter
The nightly routine’s ban pick team composition simulator would take at least 10 or so days to be completed. There were more than 100 champions with innumerable matchups and astronomical amounts of compositions.
When a normal person thought of their own matchmaking rating, a mirror match would cause them incomparable fear.
It was fortunate that League of Legends had a selling point which was it was not too balanced. No matter the version, only a portion of champions could be used. After the next patch, another batch would of champions would replace the previous one. It was like a rotation.
Chen Mu listened intently. It was no different from studying. The content was very in-depth; it was all complex and boring. If one did not have the patience and determination, they probably would not be able to comprehend it. Playing the game was not the same thing as understanding it.
As usual, in the morning, Chen Mu brought Chen Yifei to have a good breakfast that was nutritionally balanced. When they reached the school gate, Chen Yifei bumped into a youth who had his hair combed up and sprayed with a large amount of hairspray.
The youth took out a letter and shoved it into Chen Yifei’s hands. He then ran his hand through his hair very confidently before he said, “Remember to reply, I signed at the end.”
Chen Yifei was holding a glass of soy milk in her hand, and she showed her impatience. Nevertheless, she did not immediately throw away the letter into the trash. Such incidents happened dozens of times each year. Sometimes, she would read them, and some smart people would copy love letters from god knew where. They were pretty eloquent and could be used as writing material for essays.
Chen Yifei returned to her seat and opened the envelope. Her deskmate was a girl and they got along well. Chen Yifei’s friend had long since gotten used to seeing this as well. She leaned closer to Chen Yifei. There were always boys trying to get closer to Chen Yifei, and they often brought her a lot of food and drinks. Her days passed by fairly comfortably.
Chen Yifei took advantage of the fact that the class had not yet started to open the letter. The contents were as follows, ‘Chen Yifei, I have noticed you for some time now. I think you’re very refined. I don’t mean to ask if we could start dating, I just want to know if I may or may not add you on Wechat. We could get to know each other and be friends. Please circle your answer. Yes, Sure, Ok! Zhou Zhou, the guy who sits in the 5th seat of the 3rd row in the 2nd class to your left.’
“…” Chen Yifei looked at the letter for 3 seconds. Then, she took out a red pen and drew a large circle around the words ‘may not’ in the part that read, ‘may or may not add you on Wechat’. Afterward, Chen Yifei folded the letter and shoved it back inside its blue envelope.
The girl next to her was eating a bun. She laughed as she said, “You can find a way to reject him even like that. Your rejection skills are truly the best in the country.”
“Lele, you should go on a diet. A big meat bun sells for 3 bucks, and you can eat 3 of them. If it goes on you’ll turn into a pool float,” Chen Yifei said.
“It’s all your fault. All this food was given to you by the boys from the other classes. You have not even taken a single bite of it, and you to throw it all away. Do you know what a shame it is to waste food?” The girl named Lele took one last bite and spoke as she chewed.
“Do you not understand the principle of not accepting something if it’s undeserved? If you take it, you’ll never be able to get out from under them.” Chen Yifei rolled her eyes.
“What’s the big deal. One is willing to use, the other is willing to be used. Have you given what I told you some thought? Based on your looks, when the time, comes you could possibly make 10,000 bucks a month,” Lele said.
“I’m still thinking about it. I keep having doubts and I don’t really dare,” Chen Yifei said.
“It’s nothing. It’s like this these days. You provide a service, and other people pay for it. It’s completely reasonable,” Lele said.
“Why do your words sound a little manipulative,” Chen Yifei said.
“My heart is clean, there’s nothing unclean about me. If my heart is impure, I would not be able to look straight at the idioms glossary.”
“…” Chen Yifei sighed. “I’ll think about it. Please reply on my behalf.”
“Okay. Don’t feel bad, it is my honor to serve you. You don’t realize how much the boys welcome me because of you.” Lele retrieved the letter and happily went to deliver it.
Chen Yifei could not possibly deliver the letters herself. The moment she walked out of the door, all sorts of rumors and gossips would start about the school’s prettiest flower finally being owned; Chen Yifei had written a love letter to someone. It was extremely irritating.
Holding her little head, Chen Yifei contemplated whether she should do it or not. Her head began to hurt.
Chen Mu at this time was flexing his fingers. He kept thinking that future training sessions would become more and more intense. The night before, he had been forced to play LeBlanc. The final stage required him to use his W, Flash, Deathfire Grasp, Q, R, Ignite, E, and W. It was an eight button-mashing combo that had to be completed within 0.3 seconds. Chen Mu had hit the buttons until his fingers hurt like h*ll. If he was forced to complete another set of them tonight, he would not be able to deal with it.
“Chen Mu, why have you not invited me to play in a premade team? My skills have improved a lot,” said Zhuo Xiaobai.
Chen Mu thought, ‘Bringing Chen Yifei is already considered a burden in terms of training. If I brought you along, I’d break my arms. Only those who play a lot knew what kind of a monster a VN that only had 30 CS at 15 minutes was.
If Chen Mu brought Zhuo Xiaobao along, he would have a very hard time finding a match in his lifetime.
“It’s like this. I’ve been training recently, and I may even join a competition soon. When the time comes, you just have to keep shouting 666,” Chen Mu said.
“Hey, do you mean I cannot train with you?” Zhuo Xiaobao’s face grew angry.
“No, what I need is a heavier burden while training. If I took an expert like you, I would win too easily. I won’t be able to achieve any results from such training.” In Chen Mu’s eyes, Zhuo Xiaobai was a big client that he could not afford to offend. Chen Mu had seen Zhuo Xiaobai’s father’s car. The car had a brand logo that was a capital B, and it had a pair of wings embedded in it.
A car with a logo that allowed one to act up and fly, was it not a good car?
Nevertheless, just because one drove a good car, it did not necessarily mean they were a good person. It goes to say they were definitely rich though. Even if it was money that had been loaned from the bank, it was still money.
In the future, when he took out loans, how would he do things more easily if he did not know a few rich kids?
“I see. Being too good is also a fault. Oh yeah you have a letter. Some short-haired girl asked me to pass it to you,” Zhuo Xiaobai said.
Chen Mu took the letter and opened it. The love letter was full of passion and emotion; it was eloquent and moving. It read that she had seen his formidable performance during the competition, as well as his handsome face. She admired him deeply and hoped she could play League of Legends with him when he had the time.
Chen Mu prepared to reply to the letter.

“Host, do you wish to become a vegetable?” The system appeared.
“No, can’t I make friends with people? I’m just forming a premade team so everybody can play together,” Chen Mu said.
“From a biological standpoint, I can understand the host’s feelings. However, to become the strongest in the world it is necessary for you to walk down a lonely road. The more concerns you have, the weaker your ability will be. The host should consider it himself,” the system reminded him.
Chen Mu sighed. Huaxia had tens of millions of single dogs. His only dream had been to find a girlfriend. He had so many options, but he had to reject all of them. Life was truly difficult to fathom.
Finally, he could only write, ‘I get it. Wait for news.’ It was a standard rejection line used by interviewers. Huaxia culture was often vague to leave some face for others. Chen Mu then put it in the envelope, his face unwilling. He could not even give hints now. The life of a strong person was destined to be lonely.
