Learning To Love Again - Chapter 106 Complete Indifference
Shen Xun arrives a the Garden Square Auditorium. The place is heavily guarded and she would be a fool if she thinks she can get inside without being discovered.
She swears under her breath and decides to wait for Han Yuan to come out.
After about thirty minutes, he leaves the building followed by two men and gets in his car. Shen Xun immediately becomes alert and carefully tails him to see where he’s headed.
If they stop at a remote place then she’ll be able to make her move.
“Boss, we’re being followed.” One of Han Yuan’s bodyguards immediately reports. “Sir, I recognize the car and license plate. It belongs to Shen Xun.”
He has worked with Shen Xun several times over the past ten years so it isn’t surprising that he is able to identify her vehicle and plate number.
Han Yuan furrows his brows. ‘Shen Xun? Why would she be following me?’
His parents told him that they’re transferring her to England and he didn’t give a response. He even felt that there was no need to inform him. She is just a bodyguard, she can easily be replaced.
“Head to the old villa.” He says in a cold voice.
No matter what, he won’t let people unrelated to him know about his ‘new home’ or Su Lian.
Yes, in his eyes Shen Xun is just an unrelated person.
At first, she was an employee directly under him, but now she isn’t. They no longer have any business with each other.
Even though she visits his parents very often, he only saw her as a bodyguard and nothing more. To him, there is no difference between her and the other male bodyguards he has.
If she tries anything uncalled for, then he won’t hesitate to end her.
Shen Xun still follows closely, completely unaware that she has already been discovered.
They soon arrive at the villa. Han Yuan and his bodyguards stride out of his car before turning to look at the car parked not too far from them.
Shen Xun panics in alarm once she realizes that they’ve discovered her. She quickly tries to calm herself before stepping out and walking over to them.
Han Yuan stares at Shen Xun’s appearance with displeasure written all over his face.
She has been in her car for the past three days so she hasn’t taken a shower or changed her clothing. Her white shirt is covered in sweat and food stains and her black pants look very wrinkled. Her hair is in a pasty mess and there is drool on the side of her face.
But the most atrocious thing is still her body odor.
She reeks like a garbage dump. Even though there is some distance between them, he can still smell her awful stench.
Everything about her right now is simply unbearable. It is a complete contrast to how she meticulously dresses on a normal day.
Even Han Yuan’s two bodyguards behind him cover their noses in disgust.
Noticing the contempt in their eyes, Shen Xun looks down at herself and immediately wishes for the ground to open up and swallow her.
She was rushing all the way here but forgot that she has been camped out in her car for over three days now.
She makes an attempt to adjust her clothes and fix herself, but it doesn’t do much to help.
Han Yuan’s gaze is extremely frosty as he stares at her. “What are you here for?”
Shen Xun feels extremely embarrassed to appear in front of the man she loves like this, but she still answers him. “This will be my last day in China so I came to say goodbye to you and thank you for all you’ve done for me.”
Han Yuan’s eyes turn even colder. “Is that all? You followed me all the way here and disgusted me with your presence just to tell me that.”
“I- I-” Shen Xun is rendered speechless by his harsh and abrupt words. She has no way to reply.
It’s not like she can say: ‘I was trying to kidnap you, but you caught me.’
“Don’t appear in front of me for any unofficial reasons again, or else you will no longer be an employee in the Han Group.” With that, he turns around and enters his villa with his bodyguards in tow.
Shen Xun feels mortified.
She was right.
This entire time, all these twelve years, he never actually saw her as a woman.
He doesn’t even seem to care that she is about to go to another continent.
Not even a ‘goodbye’ or a ‘congratulations.’
Just complete indifference.
