Learning To Love Again - Chapter 109 Single Mother
Kidnapped?
Su Lian immediately becomes enraged.
She carried her son her for nine months and this bastard dares to say she kidnapped him. She clenches her hands into fists and glares daggers at him. “You have no right to call him your son. He doesn’t even know you.”
“And whose fault is that?”
Han Yuan doesn’t back down. He stands up and gently tucks the still sleeping Su Yichen into a couch in the corner to rest.
He turns to face her. “Who is to blame for my son not knowing who his father is?”
He walks towards her and with every step he takes, she takes one back. This continues until she is pushed up against the wall. His eyes are extremely dark as he stares down at her.
“You ran away with my son. How can you live with yourself knowing that you were preventing him from having a father by his side? When he starts asking about me what were you planning to tell him that I had died? Or abandoned him?”
Being driven into a corner and interrogated, Su Lian feels trapped and powerless. She tries to slap him, but he grabs her wrists. “What are you trying to do?” His tone is extremely furious.
She doesn’t know if it’s because she was grabbed so abruptly by him or because he was guilting her, but at that moment, she broke.
Tears stream down her face, she tries to wipe them off but they just keep falling.
“Do you think I want to be a single mother.” Her voice becomes weak and she manages to get words through her choked sobs. ” I was nineteen- nineteen and all alone, you bastard.”
“I loved you so much, but you didn’t even make an attempt or at least pretend to love me. You’re the one who told me to leave. I– I didn’t even know I was pregnant and now you’re trying to–”
She is unable to finish her sentence, she just squats on the ground and cries as if she’s the only one in the room.
He brought back all the memories and emotions she had buried inside her heart. All of the heartbreak and helplessness she had felt.
Seeing her cry so pitifully, Han Yuan does not know how to react.
After he saw the photo of them flying kites at the beach in Chen Ming’s office, he rushed over furiously.
He was angry, that she had actually been hiding his own son from him for over three years now, but seeing her like this makes him feel helpless.
He forgot that even though Su Yichen is his son, for the way he had treated Su Lian, he has no right to barge in and interrogate her like this.
He squats down and carries her in his arms. “I’m sorry. Please don’t cry. I was wrong, Lian.”
His voice is extremely gentle, but it only makes her cry more.
She buries her head into his chest and lets all her tears out.
“Mommy?” A soft voice calls out from behind.
