Learning To Love Again - Chapter 117 Replacemen
Shen Xun sits in the corner of an abandoned building while holding a piece of bread in her hands.
She is trying to feed the toddler in front of her, but he isn’t responding.
She lets out a sigh in frustration and slumps with her back against the wall.
“It’s just the two of us now. You’re all I have and I’m all you have.” She takes a bite out of the bread and stares at the moldy ceiling. “Unless of course, your father decides to join us. Then we’ll be one big happy family.”
Su Yichen stares at his hands silently.
After a while, a tear drops from his eyes. “Mommy.”
He croaks and buries his face in his hands.
Shen Xun quietly stares at the boy weeping beside her before taking in another mouthful of bread. “You can cry all you want for now. You’ll get used to me eventually.”
When she first saw Su Lian and her son, she immediately wanted to kill them both on the spot.
The police are after her, she has nothing to lose. It would just be another crime added to her plate.
She snuck up behind them and knocked the driver out. She grabbed Su Yichen and was about to strike him, but she paused when he looked up at her. She couldn’t bring herself to do it.
She just couldn’t.
Apart from the fact that he looks exactly like her beloved, his gaze made her shudder.
He has the most alluring green eyes. She felt as if her soul had been sucked out of her.
…what a beautiful boy.
His features were a perfect combination of both Mr. Han and that, vixen Su Lian.
When he looked at her, his gaze didn’t contain disdain or mockery like everyone else. There was no indifference like Mr. Han.
There was only curiosity.
His look was so pure and he seemed untainted by the world.
He is so precious, like a rare treasure.
She wanted to keep him.
Kidnapping the father is an impossible feat, but she has the opportunity to kidnap the little one right in front of her.
Since she can’t have Han Yuan, she can at least have his son.
She already waited twelve years for Mr. Han, waiting another fifteen won’t be a problem.
She should have at least killed Su Lian, but she stopped herself from doing that too.
If he witnessed her murdering his mother, he’ll probably hate her.
She knocked Su Lian unconscious, tied her up with a scarf and threw her into her house. She put in a gas that would make all the maids fall asleep. But while she was leaving, the grandmother appeared out of nowhere so she had to tie her up too.
…..
“You’re hurt. Your head is bleeding.” Han Yuan’s voice is tinged with worry as he stares at the back of Su Lian’s head.
There seems to be a little bit of dried blood in her hair.
He places his hand on her head and gently rakes her fingers through her long, black hair in an attempt to find the injury.
Su Lian hit his hand away and touches her head.
She feels slight pain, but it shouldn’t be too serious. She is more concerned about where her son is, but this bastard won’t tell her anything.
She bites the bottom of her lip and gets off the couch making. After adjusting her clothes, she makes a bee-line straight for the door.
“Where are you going?” Han Yuan grabs a hold of her wrist, locking her in place.
“I’m going to get my son.” Her voice is slightly hoarse and there are tears streaming down her face.
