Learning To Love Again - Chapter 125 Wedding Dress
Shen Xun bangs her head against the walls of her prison cell. If she was crazy before, she is now fully deranged.
“Han Yuan why? Why did you choose her?”
“Ahhh—”
“Was I not good enough?”
“I’ll be your wife. I’ll cook you food.”
“I’ll give birth to sons for you.”
Blood is now flowing from her forehead so she stops and starts crying.
“Is it because of my scar? Is that the reason why you didn’t want me?”
Heavy footsteps can be heard approaching her cell. “You have a visitor.” A guard says harshly and pockets a big wad of cash. He nods towards the man beside him and puts on his best fawning smile.
“Be careful sir, she’s quite dangerous.”
The man ignores the guard and turns to look at the mess of a human being curled up on the ground.
“Biomi (cousin)”
Hearing the voice, Su Mo Chou pauses abruptly. It’s a voice she hasn’t heard in over twelve years.
She looks up at him and he continues to stares at her. His eyes are extremely gentle.
“Shen Xun, it’s really you. You’re alive.”
She knows the man who just arrived, her cousin. The older brother of the two girls who would bully her after she became an orphan. The girls she murdered with her own hands along with her aunt.
Remembering how it felt to take the lives of her oppressors, Shen Xun laughs manically. Murder is the way to solve everything. If she had killed Su Lian too, then everything would have turned out just fine.
The young man ignores her crazy laughter and looks at her with eyes filled with concern and desperation. “Shen Xun tell me what happened that night? How did you survive? How did you become like this? Do you know where my mother and sisters are, did they survive too?”
Shen Xun continues to laugh as if she’s just heard the funniest joke ever told.
“After father heard the news, he died of a heart attack. It had only been me alone in that house ever since. Since you were alive why didn’t you come?”
Shen Xun stops laughing and smiles evilly. “You want to know why I didn’t come? I ran away because I killed them.”
The young man’s body freezes. “You- you what?”
She points at the scar on her face. “Look, look at what they did to me. They deserve death and that’s what I gave them. I drowned all three of them. Their bodies should be underwater at the resort that we were staying at. Unless they got eaten by sharks or something.”
Shen Xun’s manic laughter continues and the man snaps out of his daze and looks at her viciously, unable to believe that someone could actually be capable of all of this. He grabs her neck and chokes her through the metal bars. “THEY DESERVED DEATH??? Shen Xun one was sixteen and the other one was thirteen. In your mind, teenagers deserve to be killed?”
Shen Xun’s face starts to turn blue before a guard rushes in to pull the young man off of her.
She coughs violently, but soon after she resumes her laughter. “Even if you killed me, it won’t bring them back.”
The guard had been eavesdropping and heard everything that was said. He tried to console the young man who had lost his entire family due to them raising a white-eyed wolf.
“Don’t worry sir, we will investigate the resort and charge her for murder. She will definitely receive capital punishment for all the crimes she has committed.”
Hearing what was being said, Shen Xun smirks. “I won’t let you have the final say over me. I will leave this world myself. Free as a bird.”
She stands up and runs headfirst into the wall at full speed.
‘Since death is the only option for me. I will rather die by my own hands. In my next life maybe I will get to meet Mr. Han again and become his bride.
…..
A pretty young woman with curly red hair and light brown eyes stares at her reflection in the mirror.
“What do you think, Alice?” She asks the blonde standing beside her.
Alice holds her chin and ponders seriously before shaking her head. “It’s beautiful, but I don’t think it’s the one. You don’t look like a bride in it.”
Jane tugs at the white wedding dress she has on and nods her head. “I don’t really like it either. Who knew shopping for a dress would be this hard.” She sighs and takes a seat on a nearby cushion.
The consultant looks down at her and smiles. “Would you like to try another one on?”
“No, that’s enough for today.” Jane waves her hand dismissing the consultant. Then she looks up at Alice, we have to get you a maid-of-honor dress.”
Alice takes a seat beside her. “We need a bridesmaid dress for Lian and the others.”
Hearing Su Lian’s name, Jane pouts. “What Lian, she hasn’t even bothered to call me and she knows that I’m planning my wedding.”
“She’s probably busy. We should call her up and see.” Alice brings out her phone makes a video call.
Su Lian was sitting in her office reading some documents. She answers the phone and stares at the two faces displayed on the screen. Noticing that Jane has a white dress on, Su Lian smiles.
Alice: “What have you been up to all these days?”
Su Lian: “Just the usual, you know like getting cornered by my son’s father and saving my son from a crazy kidnapper.”
Alice turns to look at Jane showing a smug smile. “I told you she was just busy.”
Su Lian: “Jane, your wedding is so close. It’s only two months away.”
Jane: “You better come. Your son is the ring bearer so bring him too.”
Su Lian: “I will, I will.”
Alice: “And bring a date.”
After chatting some more with her old friends, Su Lain ends the call but she finds it hard to continue working so she just puts everything away and stares out the window.
A Wedding.
She used to always want one of those.
