Legacy Of Forgotten Times - Chapter 191 Limit Break
*Buzz*
Jaime’s ears were buzzing. Everything around her was blurry. She was smelling something disgusting as there was a heavy feeling on her chest. She opened her eyes to see the sorry figure of Kris on top of her.
“*Cough *Cough*… Kris?” Jaime tried to push Kris so that he would wake up, but he wasn’t moving.
She lifted her head to see the giant charred flesh which used to Kris’ back. She felt vomit rising in her stomach. This was her fault. It was all her fault! If she didn’t try to warn him maybe he could have defended himself, but he chose to protect her instead.
Ashes were flying around the battlefield which was used to be their schoolyard. The mini-volcano was still spewing out lava.
Jaime got up from the ground with great struggle. She needed to get help for Kris. Kasumi should be able to heal him! She looked around, but the sight in front of her was devastating.
There were charred corpses everywhere. She could not see Kasumi anywhere. No! This can’t be happening. They should have been able to defeat him easily. It was all Linri’s fault! He should have been here to stop this from happening in the first place!
… No, it wasn’t his fault. He was selfish, but, if he could have been here, he would have definitely stopped it. She couldn’t blame anyone else. This was all her fault!
If she was a little faster, if she could have warned them ahead of time, if she could have told them Ms. Snow already ran away, then they would have been able to defend themselves. However, there were no ifs in life.
“Hm? We still have a little bug left?” said Leon with surprise. He was sure that [Gaia’s Wrath] would have been enough to kill everyone here… Oh well, it shouldn’t hurt to play with this little bug a little longer. He was still waiting for other preys to arrive anyway. Maybe she could amuse him?
Jaime, on the other hand, turned towards Leon with fury in her eyes. Even if it was her fault that she couldn’t warn them ahead of time, it was still this guy that killed them.
“Oh, aren’t you the idiotic girl that attacked me before? How did you survive this time?” said Leon with an interested expression.
Jaime was not interested in speaking with him. She knew that she couldn’t win against him. She knew that she was weak. But! The powerful rage burning inside her didn’t allow her to think clearly. She was going to slice that arrogant expression right from his face!

[Silver Sword First Form: Ame o Kiru]
[Silver Sword Seventh Form: Yama no Kurakeru]
[Silver Sword Third Form: Tsuiin o Ryu]
Jaime appeared in front of Leon and started to barrage him with her attacks. She was not even sure if she was able to hit him, but she did not care. She just wanted to let out her pent up rage! That’s why she just kept swinging her sword wildly.

Jaime flew back and rolled in the ground. Her chest was burning, it was hard to breathe. Every time she breathed, it felt like ants were biting her skin. She got up and looked at her chest. There was a giant burn on her collar bone area.
With every breath, the skin there would get stretched and she would feel pain. She raised her head to look towards Leon. She attacked him so many times, so she should have at least dealt some damage to him.
Unfortunately, there wasn’t a single scratch on him. He looked like a cat that was playing with a mouse… so she was useless to the end. So what if she got angry and started to swing around her sword madly? She was still the same weak Jaime. Tears welled up on her face.
She didn’t want to be weak anymore. She didn’t want to see the people around her get hurt… At that moment, she had a little realization. Maybe this was the reason Linri always fought alone. Maybe, just like her, he didn’t want to see them get hurt.
She had heard him say this to her before, but she had never thought deeply about it. She never thought that it would be this painful to see people she cared about get hurt.
“What? Is the little baby going to cry now?” Leon mocked Jaime after seeing her like this. It was really enjoyable to torture others this way. If only Richard could be here to see him torture his precious students. Then it would have felt even better!
Jaime wiped the tears on her face with her sleeve. No, she could not fall here. She refused to believe that she was going to lose this fight. She still had to protect the students behind her. Yes, there were countless charred corpses behind her, but not every one of them was dead. If she could fend off Leon here, they might have enough time to get treated and live.
*Break*
Jaime felt like she heard something breaking inside her. It seemed like her body was giving up on her. Even though she still had more than 3/4th of her health, she felt like she was going to faint here.
*Shine*
That was when Jaime’s katana started to shine a bright silvery light. She felt like she getting rejuvenated… No, she wasn’t just getting rejuvenated. It also felt like she was getting stronger? She looked down on her chest to see that the burn there was healed. What was going on?
