- Chapter 208 Why are you acting out of script now!?
“Really? I thought you would be way more interesting than this” said Amie as he inspected Linri up and down.
“Pardon?”
“You should be aware that your reputation precedes you. The one who made Zero almost commit suicide, the one who is arrogant enough to call the entire student body thrash and nimble enough to escape afterwards, the bloodthirsty werewolf who tried to massacre our students, the hateful person who dared to hurt the school idol Lightning Goddess Rina etc etc” Amie said.
*Gulp*
Why did she know so much about him!? He knew about his own notorious reputation among the students but why is the lofty Demon God aware of his deeds? Especially what the hell was the massacre one? He didn’t kill a single person ever since arriving at Autumnfall okay? Actually, up until now he only killed 2 people while trying to break out Gendor and that was it!
“I think they exaggerated the rumours,” said Linri trying to dodge Amie’s gaze.
“Duh! Which rumour isn’t?” replied Amie.
As Amie was saying that the corpse on the ground started to disappear just like the previous incarnations on Leon. So it really was him!
“Teacher now that I have my answer, I think I should leave,” said Linri while trying to escape.
Staying here wouldn’t do him any good and he especially didn’t like Amie’s gaze on him.
“Hold up a minute, who said you could leave?” said Amie with an evil smile.
“…”
“You have to answer why you have those tails first before you could leave” said Amie while pointing behind Linri.
Fuck! He forgot that he was still in his Woxen Form after the thing with Chesa. To be fair he never thought that would pick Amie’s attention or the fact that he would run into her so he couldn’t be blamed on this subject.
“I am a Woxen so I obviously have tails,” said Linri. At first, he wanted to lie and say he was a Kitsune but suddenly he felt a bad premonition. That meant if he lied Amie probably would be able to tell that. Uwaaaaa such a scary thought!
“Woxen? What kind of a species is it?” asked Amie after her hair turned blond. That colour meant she was feeling happy so maybe this was a good thing?
“Teacher I don’t think I should answer that question. After all, I am the only one of my kind in this world” said Linri.
He didn’t have a death wish but he really didn’t want to talk about it if possible. He liked keeping his cards up his sleeve and if he were to start talking about it she wouldn’t let him keep any secrets. So instead of just flat out lying or hiding information, it would be way more beneficial to him to come clean.
“What happened? Did someone kill off your race or something? Do you want revenge?” said Amie as she walked around Linri closely inspecting him. That felt awful. He felt like he was naked in front of a crowd.
“Teacher, have I offended you in any way? Why are you cursing me? My family is still well and alive thank you very much” said Linri.
“Then how can you be the only one of your kind? Was it a mutation?” said Amie and touched one of Linri’s three tails which he promptly moved away.
“It can be considered as such. Are you really going to force me to spill the beans?” Linri said after squinting his eyes.
“Nope, I don’t need to do that just state your terms”
“Terms?”
“Don’t play coy with me. Weren’t you the one who cheated out our school board out of information before?” said Amie after her hair turned back to black.
“Then do you know of any way to open a passage to a specific parallel world?” Linri asked. If he wanted anything from her that could only be this.
“What makes you think I would even know that?” replied back Amie. Even though her hair was still black there were a couple strands of purple.
Shiiiiiit!
He forgot that no one should be aware that Amie was a dimension demon just yet. Because he was used to only knowing information other characters shared in RP he forgot that he had read Amie’s bio directly.
The reason for that was Diego had almost written a complete book about her antics in various dimensions. He remembered reading them but wasn’t sure if Amie shared any of them with others.
“Prophetic ability. In exchange for something, I was able to glimpse into the future and saw that you could open dimensional passages. Were you hiding it?” Linri mixed truth and lie as always.
“Oh? What else did you see about me? How would you describe my actions without telling me much about them?” said Amie. The strands of purple had disappeared but her hair was still black.
“If I were to take out the details I guess I would say your actions were death seeking? You liked dangerous stuff but found fights bothersome so never participated in any of them” said Linri after thinking.
“That indeed sounds like me”
“So can you open a passage to a specific parallel world?”
“Maybe I can or maybe I can’t, unfortunately, you will never learn about it,” said Amie after skipping in front of Linri.
Even though it wasn’t a positive answer this was still something. He still had hope! As long as she still had her spatial ability Linri could just subdue her to open the passage after he became a god.
Wait how could he become a god anyway?
The only way he knew to get stronger was through constant fights and maybe finding elemental treasures he could devour. Both of them were unreliable. He needed a more definite way to get stronger that didn’t rely on luck.
“Does that mean you don’t want to learn about my race anymore?”
“Hahaha, your heart is as black as the rumours say. Pick a different condition” said Amie after giving an alluring laugh.
Snap out of it Linri! Don’t forget that she is still the Demon God! Technically she wasn’t a real god and it was only a moniker but you catch the drift.
“Then how about a way to get stronger?”
“That can be done but you need to define what you meant by stronger,” said Amie.
Linri’s palms became sweaty. Honestly what he was doing right now was actually pretty dangerous. He was about to make a deal with the devil in a literal sense. Was it worth it? Hell yeah, it was!
Even though every cell in his body was screaming that this was a bad idea he didn’t think so. He wasn’t sure he could walk the same path that the OG Linri did. Now that he was finally freed from the shackles of his bloodlines he didn’t need to follow the same step either.
In retrospect, he couldn’t imagine himself to be a god. In almost all religions they were described as holy beings that spread good and helped humans. He wasn’t suited for such a path. In his core, he believed himself to be evil. Someone who uses others instead of helping them.
Thinking along those lines he was more suited to walk the path of a demon or an evil god. Since there was already an experienced person in front of him if he couldn’t get guidance from her who could help him create his own evil path?
“Well, Teacher you should know that every animal kin has their own way to get stronger. Unfortunately, I am not suited for either of my parents’ way. So I need to fumble around and find a way to get stronger by myself. Now that I have awakened my own unique bloodline and its ultimate ability I don’t know where to go from there. You don’t need to do much. Just point me towards the way I need to walk and I should be able to handle the rest myself…probably”
“Who knows if I might be able to help you with that? First I need to know the characteristic of your race but I can’t guarantee that I will help you after learn what I wanted” said Amie.
“In that case, I would count it as my own loss. Honestly, even if I tell you I wouldn’t suffer that much of a loss. I can still ask the old pervert if you were unable to show me my way” said Linri.
“Did you just try to goad me?” said Amie and she gave him a dangerous look.
Fuck!
Didn’t you tell me that you couldn’t be affected by my words but you were still going to bite because you were interested? Why are you acting out of script now!?
“Why would I? Teacher, you are still young so I would understand it if you weren’t able to devise a way for me to get stronger” said Linri.
After hearing that Amie showed a different reaction from what Linri expected. Her hair actually turned White!
“Hehehe, you are right. I am still young. You know what say your racial characteristic. I can guarantee you that if I can’t create one for you there isn’t a single person in the world who can create a training method for you” said Amie with a smile.
Damn, she looked enchanting when she smiled purely like a child.
