Legacy Of Forgotten Times - Chapter 230 asd
All the seven weapons of Jin returned back to his body.
He didn’t like using his [Ex-Burst]. In fact, he despised it.
For someone like him who was incarnate of the darkness in the world using the power of light such as hope was disgusting.
However, that was the only thing he can do given the circumstances.
Jin’s ability was based on an artefact you might have heard of before. The legendary [Pandora’s Box] from the myths of Greece.
It was a box given to an innocent girl for an experiment by the cruel gods. Inside it was the seven deadly sins that plagued humanity. In order to keep them sealed the only thing Pandora had to do was simple. She just needed to not open the box.
However, gods didn’t tell her what exactly was inside of it. They just told her if she ever opened this box unimaginable bad things would happen.
The result was that Pandora opened the box due to her curiosity and released the seven deadly sins to the world.
That was also not the only thing inside the box. It contained one more thing to help humans fight against the corruption of seven deadly sins. The power of hope. And the rest was history.
Jin was the current holder of [Pandora’s Box]. He was a descendant of the original sinner Pandora herself. Just like all his ancestors, his mission was to protect the box.
However, Jin did not just protect the box, no. Instead, he integrated his soul into it. The result was that he could materialise the sins in the forms of weapons. But the remaining power of sins in the box was not too strong.
The original sins had already escaped the confinement of the box. Jin was only able to use the little remainders of them. The only way for him to get stronger was to catch the original sins again and seal them inside the box.
And about that, there was one little problem. He was not aware of where the sins were. In his mind he imagined sins to gain form and Jin would hunt them one by one but that never happened in the club. From what they established together with the other transmigrators if something was not written down in the club there was a chance of it not being included or included in some different way.
Anyway, he will think about how to get stronger when the time comes. For now, he was already strong enough and there was also the sealed power of darkness inside his body he did not even release the seals yet.
Jin went down to meet up with the problem children of the mercenaries when he was greeted with a surprising sight.
“Hello there!” said Linri as he was dragging the sorry remains of Rondo and Fosse.
“You!” Jin instantly got furious.
“Umm, is it really okay to drag them like that?” a girl with brown hair and golden eyes said behind Linri.
“No worries, this one can not die as long as there is even a speck of blood remaining in his veins,” said Linri as he raised Fosse.
“Should I heal them?” she asked.
“No, let them stay like this for a little more. This should be a little punishment to them for their ignorance”
“But-”
“No buts! If you are really interested in saving them just trust what I said. They won’t die that easily. Don’t make me say it again. If you heal them without my permission I will just beat them to a pulp again” Linri said.
“What did you do to them!” Jin shouted.
[Pandora’s Box: Greed]
Two guns appeared in his hands and he pointed them towards Linri. Today was the day he was finally going to teach that bastard his place!
[Elemental Tail: Lightning]
Seeing that Linri dropped Fosse and Rondo and pulled out his guns with his [4x Extreme Agility] before Jin could even respond.
“First of all, I don’t like being threatened. Secondly, it wasn’t me. They were just in the wrong place in the wrong time” Linri said.
He didn’t want this to turn into a fight as it was against his plans but he would not mind teaching this bastard his place. From the start, Jin was hostile towards him and he did not know the reason why. Maybe using this opportunity he might be able to learn the truth of the matter.
“Woah what’s with the standoff?” Lance jumped down from the tree and joined the conversation.
Hayato and Six also arrived at the scene. Seeing the situation both of them also pointed their weapons towards Jin. Six was Linri’s bodyguard and he had to protect him. As for Hayato, he had to make sure Six was okay. He had met with this brother of his after much hardship, he was not going to let him die for nothing. He also hated Linri for tricking Six into protecting him. Six was a man of his word and making him promise to protect him was same as putting a collar on his neck.
Seeing all the weapons pointed towards him Jin started to sweat. His [Ex-Burst: Pandora’s Box: Hope] was still on cooldown and even if it wasn’t he wouldn’t be able to keep Linri in the same stop for long. The only way he could see a way out of this was unsealing the dormant power in his body but if he did that the world would reject his presence and annihilate him. Currently, he was not strong enough to stand up against the whole world so he had to take a step back.
“Okay then. What happened to them?” Jin asked after cancelling his ability.
“They were crushed under the collapsed infirmary. You should have already known that though” said Linri with a sly smile after holstering his own guns too.
“Tch”
Linri was right. He was perfectly aware of it and he just wanted to use the chance to create trouble with Linri.
“*Pant* *Pant* Finally found you guys. I need your help” said Kris.
Linri was surprised to hear his voice. Wasn’t he in a coma what was he doing here? He turned back to see the current Kris. He looked way different than his usual looks. His black hair turned white and his eyes had turned purple.
“What do you mean?” Linri asked.
“The students in ICU are about to die and they are only hanging on due to Ms Hina’s power. We need to get them out ASAP” Kris explained why he was gasping for air.
“Kris! Glad to see you are okay! How are you okay though?” said Kou as she descended from the air.
“That’s not important. We need to save the others first!” Kris shouted passionately now that he finally caught his breath.
“Why are you talking about others? Are you even okay yourself?” Jaime entered the scene.
“Jaime, are you okay?” asked Jin worriedly.
“I am okay, okay. We need to check Kris’ situation first” she said.
“No! We need to save the injured first!” Kris said once again.
“Enough!” Linri shouted. Actually more than a shout, it sounded like a growl. The others shut up and turned towards him.
“Areathy you can finally heal them. I won’t beat them up anymore. They also need to hear this” Linri said as he pointed towards the injured couple laying on the ground.
“Okay! Actually, I will just heal everyone in here” she said with excitement. If Linri had not threatened her that he would just beat them up again she would have already healed them by now.
[Musical Healer: Healing Hymn]
Areathy started to sing with a celestial voice. Then everyone on the scene started to heal visibly. All the wounds on their bodies, be it big or small, started to close up.
After a minute of listening to her signing, everyone was already fully healed and feeling powerful once again.
Fosse and Rondo also regained their consciousness.
“Now everyone shut up and listen to what I will say. First of all, you guys can’t do anything for shit! Jaime is weak, Kou is too soft-hearted, Fosse is too calculative, Rondo is a narcissist, Drake is missing, Kris is too idealistic and Jin does not care about consequences. You call yourselves a group, friends or whatever you want to call each other but you can’t even do simple things. From now on you, six will be listening to me. Does anyone have any objections?” Linri said.
His words were harsh and he didn’t even give a reason as to why they had to listen to him. If someone was like that just who in the world would respect his opinion? Linri was also aware of that.
Then why did he still choose to use such words?
“Fuck you! We are wasting time here speaking while there might be people dying and you say suc-” Kris’ words were cut short by a punch to his face. He did not even see Linri move and he was suddenly in front of him punching his face.
“That was not a suggestion, neither was I asking for your opinions. I was simply stating the fact. If you don’t agree I will just beat you up till you agree. So is there any other objections?”
