Legend Of Legendary Summons - Volume 2 Chapter 42 Bloody Queen
Looking up, Tian Lang realized all monsters and demons dropped to the ground. Flower Fairy coughed out a mouthful of blood and collapsed due to the recoil from Aurora’s energy going berserk. Ma Li Ang suffered a worse fate. After Tian Lang had destroyed one of its Demon Heart, it was already weak. The Banshee Scream this time hit it the hardest, and along with a black pillar of light, it disappeared.
Tian Lang felt betrayed. He had already written a Demon Commander in his Achievement List. Looks like he had to postpone that good news. As for the Demon Generals that surrounded his Grimoire Shield, they suffered the most. Their legs twitched with foams frothing out of their mouth.
Taking his focus back to the Bloody Queen, who glared at him fiercely while biting his fingers, Tian Lang gave it a most civilized treatment such as threatening glare and pointed claws at its neck.
The injured Bloody Queen had hit its rock bottom. His glare alone was enough to make it cry. It didn’t even notice the claws hovering inches away from its face. Now that everything was in place, Tian Lang compromised Flower Fairy’s marketing and blackmailed the Bloody Queen, “Look, you are going to die at this rate. Your Rainbow-winged Banshee already betrayed you and escaped. As for the Blade Massacring Demoness, you see there? It’s going to betray you for screaming every few minutes. The next time you let out another scream, it will betray you immediately. Every time it was about to kill a demon general, you screamed, and it lost consciousness, losing the chance to kill a foe at the same time. Do you know just how much you hindered its battle?”
As the Bloody Queen heard him, it only cried loudly and more painfully. Did it wish to bother Blade Massacring Demoness? It was trying to survive!
Tian Lang felt this was good enough and threw the bait, “However, everything’s not lost yet. You still have some of your subjects. If you become my contracted beast, I’m willing to save you and all the others…” Tian Lang paused a bit then continued, “The demons are regaining their consciousness, you should make up your mind fast.”
Tian Lang even raised Bloody Queen’s head to let it see the battlefield.
The Bloody Queen became silent, yet tears gushed out of its eyes.
When Tian Lang saw this, he felt uncomfortable. A bit weird, and… irritated. A feeling he had yet to explore.
The Bloody Queen stared at the destroyed island, the bloody gores of the fallen harpies, and the bronze-ranked level-7 Blade Massacring Demoness, who was clutching its head and struggled to stand straight. Even the pavilion a little further away suffered some damage.
Typically speaking, if the Bloody Queen and Blade Massacring Demoness weren’t dealt with a secret blow, the demons would’ve been suppressed from the start. The Bloody Queen alone could deal a considerable amount of damage to the Demon Commander and Demon Generals.
However, the demons were prepared and targeted their weakness. The gold-ranked Dragon Slaying Dagger was something even Giant Dragons were afraid of, let alone the Bloody Queen, who was considered second to Giant Dragons.
The Bloody Queen finally admitted that it lost everything. From where it commanded over its territory, it had to seek help from outside and submit.
The Bloody Queen looked at Tian Lang in the eye and said something in Demon Abyss Language.
There were over a hundred different kinds of languages in the Demon Abyss alone. Tian Lang only learned a little from the original Yue Yang. Thankfully, it was the language most used by current demons. He could only understand some words like, “Save, agree, please…”
His ears perked up and asked again to make sure. Getting a nod of agreement, Tian Lang grabbed his Grimoire. He opened an empty page and pricked a hole on his finger. Using his blood, Tian lang drew runic circles around the page. In a minute, he pricked his finger more than ten times. The page was full of intricate markings, leaving a small circular space in the middle.
Tian Lang thought a bit and smiled. He scribbled something in the middle, which had a vague outline of a wolf’s face with a pair of wings connecting in the middle.
Satisfied, Tian Lang poured in a huge amount of spirit energy in the contract, liting them simultaneously.
Words flowed to the purple box in his consciousness.
[Bloodline Contract: Fate’s Connection; has been invoked through the Grimoire.]
[Forming contract with Bloody Queen.]
[Accepted.]
[Contract Successful.]
The marking and runes on the page disappeared, replaced by Bloody Queen’s image and information.
Bloody Queen (Banshee):
Sentient, Standard Form
Fighting Type, Level 5 Gold Rank
Contract: Fate’s Connection Guardian Beast
Skills: Banshee Scream, Fly, Berserk
(A/N: Unless updated, this will be the Grimoire Beast Page view)
On the other hand, a clear wolf’s image with wings was outlined between Bloody Queen’s chest and neck area. It disappeared just as soon as it appeared.
When Tian Lang merged his consciousness with the Grimoire’s connection, the knowledge it had transmitted to Tian Lang surfaced once again. The knowledge had everything Tian Lang required to summon the grimoire and contract with beasts.
It had all sorts of contracts that could be used by Tian Lang. Such as: Immortal’s True Contract, Fate’s Connection, Heavenly Fate, Soul Blood, Myriad World’s Presence, etc.
However, most of the contracts had some kind of limit or restrictions or required a bloodline to execute. Tian Lang being him, hardly cared about complicated stuff. He only knew he could use a few types of contracts.
He chose Fate’s Connection because it operated in a special way.
The contract could be drawn directly on the beast, a scroll, or through a Grimoire page; by doing the latter, it was possible to bypass the summoning time limit. Actually, Heavenly Fate had far better results, but Tian Lang avoided it since the contract process was too eye-catching.
Now that the Bloody Queen became his [Guardian Beast], Tian Lang happily pulled out the Dragon Slaying Dagger from Bloody Queen’s back.
Tian Lang played with the dagger. He hadn’t used any weapons, so the feeling was entirely foreign to him. Thinking of something, he used the dagger to prick his finger. Although there was a slight resistance, his skin still cut without any problem.
Tian Lang was amazed. Weapons were indeed remarkable. Not only they had better reach if one had to attack higher-level lava golems, they could also do so without suffering any burns! Undoubtedly, the uses were not limited to that.
As Tian Lang thought of that, he decided to learn how to use weapons.
The demons attacked the halo shield and jeered at Tian Lang.
Human Language was easier compared to hundreds of demon languages. And demons had to speak the human language in order to tempt humans and spy on them. So, most demon generals and above had already mastered Human Language.
Tian Lang eyed the Demon Generals, who had yet to realize the disappearance of their commander. Since he had this dagger, he might as well try it out. He limited his strength, this time even lower.
Thinking their jeering provoked the human, the demon generals grinned fiendishly. With the fastest speed, the lanky demon general moved behind Tian Lang and slammed a spiked mace at his head.
Sparks flew!
Tian Lang parried the mace away. With another move, the demon died from its head to the abdomen separated. “Woahhh!” Tian Lang marveled and clapped in appreciation. He tapped his foot on the ground, and his shadows instantly expanded to dozens of meters.
The demon generals that were still in shock and confusion found their body frozen. No matter how much they tried, their bodies refused to budge.
Since they were not even a practice target to him, Tian Lang decided to ignore the demon generals.
The Blade Massacring Demoness was fighting against two dragons while the lower-rank demons distracted it.
They should be good enough for his practice target. Not to mention, he had to save the already exhausted Blade Massacring Demoness. The dragons had to die for Ma Li Ang’s smooth death.
Who knows, the recoil from two summons death might kill the already fainted demon commander?
When Tian Lang realized the chances of getting a Demon Commander in his Achievement still existed, he became more energetic than ever.
He got a beautiful and mighty fleshyerr, summon, more than five demon generals in his achievement, and many contribution points. The connection he formed with Flower Fairy, this mighty human, was just a surplus.
The happy and energetic Tian Lang skipped and hacked at the Silver-spotted Dragon. The Blade Massacring Demoness had already gone berserk. It failed to recognize friends and foes. Anything that approached it summoned its wrath. However, Tian Lang didn’t mind.
The Blade Massacring Demoness had exhausted most of its energy. Coupled with the effects from Weakening Demonic Moth, Bone Sucking Maggot, Maniac Red Ant, the demoness could exert two-third of its strength at most.
After a round of hacking and slashing the Silver-spotted Dragon, Tian Lang realized many aspects. Even though this dagger had a small reach, every attack from this dagger harmed them significantly. If the dagger was embedded in their body, a part of their body was basically crippled.
“AeaeAAAAAAA~”
As Tian Lang dealt a finishing blow to the Silver-spotted Dragon, a mournful scream revibrated the area.
He looked up and realized, while he had been playing with spotty, the Corroding Flying Dragon almost cornered the Blade Massacring Demoness. The Bloody Queen recovered a little and gave it timely support. Alas, it was unknown whether it gave support or frustration as the Demoness also fainted.
Tian Lang didn’t bother to collect the lousy crystal and quickly finished the corroding dragon in its nap. Now that only the small fries were remaining, Tian Lang lost the motivation to do a clean-up job.
Blood Queen sniveled while approaching the dizzy Blade Massacring Demoness. It had lost everything. The pavilion was destroyed by the dragons beyond recognition, subjects massacred. Now it had to see if the Blade Massacring Demoness was still willing to follow it.
Tian Lang let the Bloody Queen do its own thing. He approached the unconscious Flower Fairy. With the halo shield gone, it remained unguarded.
“Flower Fairy, wake up. We have to leave here quickly!” Tian Lang nudged Flower Fairy but to no avail. His eyes glinted as he poked it. Receiving no response, Tian Lang assessed its fighting prowess. After his transformation, this was Tian Lang’s first time touching fleshy mounds, and really, this sensation felt different, yet not bad. No, even better. Tian Lang felt he had entered a new domain. And something reacted in his body. He didn’t know what, but his blood boiled.
As Tian Lang was trying to feel what reacted, the Three-tailed Snow Fox jumped up. Even the Shadow Leopard returned to his side. Like a thief, Tian Lang pulled his hand back as fast as lightning. His heart pounded like crazy.
This… Why do I look like I just did something bad? For crystal’s sake, I was just trying to measure strength, yep! What, you don’t want me to measure strength? Ok, I won’t! Tian Lang patted his own fleshy mounds and let out a sigh, “Aih, I’m glad that you’re safe.”
The Three-tailed Snow Fox didn’t look at Tian Lang with hostility but used its black, intelligent doe-eyes to look at him warmly instead. It even laid on its stomach on the ground and wagged its long tails, as if it felt extremely comfortable with Tian Lang’s presence. There wasn’t an ounce of wariness in its eyes.
Since there was nothing interesting to see, the Shadow Leopard went back to its job. It collected the bodies of the demon generals and proceeded to collect the dragon corpses. However, Tian Lang stopped it quickly. He was sure Flower Fairy would have humans check out the battlefield.
Out of the six demon generals, he took five. And among the three dead dragons, he only took spotty, the largest dragon. Only then Tian Lang had the chance to look at Bloody Queen.
