Legend Of The Perfect Emperor - Chapter 34
The area below the Soaring Sun City with thousands of people gathered was so quiet that a mere pin drop would be heard from miles away.
The Supreme Elder of the Ancient Dragon Sect, after plummeting to the floor, was shocked numb, the feeling of pain in his body escaping his senses.
He was an expert with a cultivation base at the Divine Sovereign Stage, one of the very few Sovereign Realm masters in this world, yet today he was easily defeated by pressure alone.
It was an eye-opener, a shocking one, at that.
The Supreme Elder lifted his head to look at the fog of blood, and he coughed up many mouthfuls of blood from anger and shame.
Never in his life has he experienced such disgrace, such a slap to the face! To think Tian Long, the most talented disciple in his sect had died while he was right beside him! How will he face the Sect Master now? How will he have enough face to walk around in this outside world ever again?
The Supreme Elder tried to stand up, but his body didn’t properly listen, and he fell to his knees again.
This was the most pathetic state he has been ever since birth! He has never felt so powerless! Who was this senior?! Whoever this senior was, he or she would definitely be some legendary figure in this giant world. How they offended such a terrifying monster, he might never truly know.
The Supreme Elder was furious, extremely furious, but alas, there was nothing he nor his Sect Master could do to fight such a monster whose face they do not even know.
And coughing up another few mouthfuls of blood, he finally fainted.
========
Even after the Ancient Dragon Sect’s Supreme Elder fainted, nobody dared to help him up; they were simply too afraid to offend the mysterious voice.
The Elders and the Disciples watched with gripped fists, their gaze filled with bitterness and shame.
As disciples of the Ancient Dragon Sect, they would usually be bathed in fame and glory, but today, they were bathed in shame.
After many more moments of silence, the voice finally returned.
“Get lost.”
At the exact moment the voice ended, the disciples of the Ancient Dragon Sect flew to get the Supreme Elder before running away at full speed, some even ignoring the Supreme Elder to save a few seconds of time!
The people were dumbfounded, their eyes wide like saucers and jaws glued to the floor.
Many of them wished for Tian Long to be punished, but for that wishful day to come so quickly and unexpectedly, maybe Heaven would really grant wishes if enough people prayed hard enough?
After the Ancient Dragon Sect disciples left, neither of the other three Ancient Lands made even the slightest movement, let alone leaving.
The Supreme Elders from the other three Ancient Lands could feel their robes gaining weight from their sweat.
They were all arrogant and prideful figures; it was something they earned through countless hardships. But what they witnessed today, however, had flipped their arrogance into modesty and threw that pride out of the window.
“There will always be someone above you” The Supreme Elder of the Azure Phoenix Sect mumbled, his heart now wholeheartedly accepted and believed in those words.
The Supreme Elder turned to look at his disciples, and said, “Let’s go; the Sect Master will be arriving soon. Don’t forget to show your respects before leaving!”
The Supreme Elder bowed first, and his disciples followed.
“This one bids farewell to senior!” They said before disappearing into the Soaring Sun City.
The other two Ancient Sect quickly followed, bidding their respects to this mysterious and almighty senior before disappearing at the speed of light, leaving behind a trail of cold sweat.
After the Four Ancient Lands disappeared, the people at the bottom of the Soaring Sun City all dropped to their butts as though a powerful earthquake had just occurred.
They were finally able to breathe properly again, and the entire area suddenly sounded like a thousand people were gasping for air.
Tian Yi also released a long sigh; he didn’t think that he would be killing so many people after leaving home for only a few days.
Before he left home, he hadn’t taken the life of anybody, but after leaving for only a few days, more than 20 lives were ended because of him.
Meng Xiang stood there, looking dazed.
“Big Brother, that was His Highness’s voice just now” she suddenly said, dumbfounding Tian Yi.
“R-Really? How could you tell?” he asked out of curiosity.
“Because I have heard it before,” she said, recalling the dreams she had when she played with him.
“I-I see but there is no way that His Highness could be all the way out here. He’s too much of a busy person, after all.”
Meng Xiang silently looked into the sky where the ripple occurred before nodding. “His Highness is really a mysterious person,” she mumbled.
