Legend Of The Perfect Emperor - Chapter 64
The woman poured tea in both the teacups in an elegant manner, and a sweet and rich aroma spread around the room.
Yu Bing’s eyes widened in shock when she noticed her cultivation base increase at the mere smell of the aroma of the tea!
What kind of heavenly tea could increase a person’s cultivation base with the mere scent?! That’s ridiculous!
“What are you waiting for? The tea will lose quality if you continue to stand there,” said the woman.
“…”
Yu Bing swallowed hard and walked to sit beside the woman.
“This is the Moonlit Spirit Tea; it was personally made by the previous Goddess of the Moon, Yue Chang.”
The woman placed the tea in front of Yu Bing, making her heartbeat beat louder.
Goddess of the Moon, Yue Chang? Yu Bing has never heard of anybody with such a prestigious title.
Yu Bing picked up the teacup with trembling hands, and before she could even sip on the tea, a powerful and sweet scent assaulted her nose, causing her Dantian to trembling with excitement.
Taking a small sip on the Moonlit Spirit Tea, Yu Bing nearly dropped the teacup from shock as her cultivation base directly broke through the Immortal Ascension Stage and into Sovereign Realm, becoming a Profound Sovereign Stage expert!
“T-T-This” Yu Bing looked at the woman who was casually drinking tea as though it was nothing special with wide eyes she was speechless. If she, an Immortal Ascension Stage expert broke through to the Sovereign Realm with a mere sip of the tea, then what kind of profound cultivation base would this woman have?
“Good tea, right?” The woman merely smiled at her reaction.
“…Why? Why are you giving this precious tea? Do you want something from me?” Yu Bing could not help but ask.
“There’s no reason, really,” said the woman. “Just think of it as a thank you from me.”
Yu Bing raised an eyebrow. Why was the woman thanking her?
Taking another sip, Yu Bing could feel her cultivation base soar even higher, causing her to tremble nonstop as though she was drinking lime juice!
“Love is a profound feeling,” the woman suddenly said. “You won’t know what it is or where it will take you until you experience it.”
“My love was one chaotic journey One that had nearly caused a war” The woman smiled after recalling her memories that would be ancient history if it were to be written.
“Do not give up just because many others who are better than you are striving for it.”
“If you chase love like how cultivators chase cultivation, then your chance in succeeding will increase exponentially,” said the woman. “Do people give up cultivation knowing that there are countless others who have a better chance than them to achieve greatness? No matter how many cultivating geniuses there are in this world, there will always be those people who have no talent but still cultivate alongside these geniuses.”
Yu Bing looked dazed as of this moment. “Chase love like how a cultivator chases cultivation?” she mumbled to herself.
“This is all the advice I will be giving you. Although it is not much; it is all you need. Whether you continue to chase or not will be up to the depth of your feelings for him.”
The woman then stood up, casually waved her sleeves, and everything she brought out disappeared everything except the cup of tea in Yu Bing’s hands.
“I do not have much time left here, but before I go, I’d like to properly thank you for making him smile the way he did during the competition,” said the woman with a warming smile. “It has been a while since I’ve seen him genuinely smile like that”
“That boy Despite being very smart, he still has his childish moments. If you ever decide to chase after him, you must make sure to shove your feelings in his face, or he will not understand it,” sighed the woman.
“It was mainly my fault for not teaching him common sense, but I guess it could also be seen as a blessing in disguise, as I believe that it will be better for him if he learned through experience instead of just having me tell him.”
The woman waved her sleeves and a golden portal appeared in the room. “Once again, I thank you for making him smile like that” said the woman as she walked into the golden portal that disappeared along with her.
“…”
Yu Bing stood there with the Moonlit Spirit Tea in her hands; it was not until the woman had left did she notice the words written inside the cup
Feng Li!
Yu Bing gasped at the name written inside the cup. “Her Majesty!” she cried out from shock, nearly dropping the teacup in her hands.
She would have never thought that the mysterious beauty could be the Celestial Empress, Tian Yi’s mother!
“S-She had been in this place long enough to witness His Highness climb the stairway? Why didn’t she show herself to take him back, even allowing him to get away when the Celestial God Army came?”
Yu Bing pondered, but alas, the actions and thoughts of Feng Li were too much for a stranger like her to understand.
“But she encouraged me to chase after her son? Does this mean that I have gotten her approval?” Yu Bing started sweating at that thought, not daring to overestimate herself.
“Chase after him like I’d chase after cultivation” Yu Bing closed her eyes to think about that sentence, and when she reopened them, a profound light filled with resolution flicked deep within.
=====================
Somewhere far away from the Nine Heavens, in a small open field, a young lady was on her knees in front of a 5 meters-tall frog with bloodstains around her robes and her lips.
The young lady was gasping for air as though she was having trouble breathing, and she suddenly coughed up a mouthful of blood, dirting her already bloodied grey robes even more.
The sword in her hand was snapped in half with the other half somewhere in the frog’s stomach.
The two had been in a frenzied battle for the past half an hour, but alas, the young lady’s cultivation base had dried before the frog could be defeated.
“Is this the end?” she mumbled to herself, hopelessness and melancholy in her trembling eyes.
“I’ve tried hard, so hard But in the end, my effort is meaningless in front of pure talent”
The young lady closed her eyes, waiting for her disappointing death. “At least I will no longer be there to embarrass her with my presence” she smiled relievingly, and the sound of death entered her ears as the frog jumped meters into the air.
The frog that was in the air had its gaze locked onto the young lady that was lifelessly laying on the floor; it had planned to smash that human into meat paste with its weight.
However, before gravity could even begin to cause it to fall, a gentle wind swept the place, causing the frog to fly away with wide eyes, disappearing into the distance.
“…”
“…”
“………..”
“???”
The young lady had prepared herself for death, but when she noticed how she was still alive after waiting for so long, her heart nearly exploded from nervousness! What on earth is happening?! Why is she still alive? Did the frog have a change of heart and decided to spare her?
The young lady slowly opened her eyes, expecting a large, ugly frog to be there, but alas, when she reopened them, what came into her view was not an ugly frog, but a decently handsome young man looking at her with a calm expression.
“Are you okay?” asked the young man, dumbfounding her.
The young lady looked around to see the frog nowhere to be found, dumbfounding her even more. “W-Who are you? And what happened to the Giga Frog?” she asked him.
“It went away,” said the young man with a smile. “And you can call me Meng Yi.”
“The Giga Frog went away?” she mumbled to herself, not daring to believe that the Giga Frog, known for their aggressiveness, would just up and leave her without any reason.
She then looked at the young man, pondering his reason for appearing here at such a random time.
