Legend Of The Perfect Emperor - Chapter 67
Tian Yi attracted countless curious gazes from the surrounding disciples as he walked beside Li Qinqin who was still wearing her bloodied robes.
For these disciples, it was unusual to see Li Qinqin, who normally enjoyed being by herself, walk with others, let alone with a man who was clearly not a disciple of the Sect.
“Who is he?”
“He’s pretty handsome Maybe he is her partner?”
“Huh? Everybody in the sect is aware of her craze for cultivation, and that she has no interest in having a relationship at all as it will take away time she could be using for cultivation.”
“She has so much blood on her robes But why does she seem fine to me? Who did she kill?”
The disciples gossiped about Tian Yi and Li Qinqin, quickly spreading rumors of Li Qinqin being seen with some mysterious young man, causing many to suck in a breath of cold air.
“What? Lonely Li has finally given up and found herself a man?”
“Are you sure about this rumor? Lonely Li has refused the admiration of many disciples before without even blinking her eyes!”
“Aiya Those who got rejected must be drowning in jealousy by now”
“Who is this young man? Do you have any information on him?”
“He’s decently handsome? That’s it? How useless”
By the time Tian Yi had arrived at Li Qinqin’s living quarters, the rumor had spread throughout the whole sect, reaching even Li Qinqin’s sister.
“Senior apprentice-sister Li, have you heard the rumor of your junior sister that has been going around like wildfire?”
A very handsome young man asked the jadelike beauty beside him who was currently reading a scroll with a serious expression.
“What about Qinqin?” she asked in a nonchalant tone, seemingly not surprised that another topic of her junior sister had arisen within the sect.
“It appears that she has finally found a young man for herself,” said the handsome young man with a smile.
Li Qinqin’s elder sister, Li Liling, dropped the scroll in her hands upon hearing the man’s words. “W-What did you just say?” she turned to him with her beautiful face showing clear bewilderment.
“The rumor has it that some disciples witnessed your junior sister bringing some young man to her living quarters,” the handsome young man repeated in a more detailed explanation.
“S-S-She brought a man to her living quarters?” Li Liling mumbled, looking dazed.
After a moment of shock, Li Liling snorted coldly. “Hmph! So much for her dedication towards cultivation! I have already done my part as her sister by helping her enter this sect. Whatever she does after she enters is her own choice!”
She picked up the scroll she dropped and continued to study, but she was clearly not as focused as a few moments ago.
The rumors of Li Qinqin finding a man has obviously affected her ability to concentrate.
The handsome young man shook his head and turned to look out the window, his gaze seemingly filled with profoundness.
================
After reaching her living quarters, Li Qinqin brought out common tea and served it to Tian Yi who was looking around out of curiosity before leaving to clean herself.
Tian Yi sipped on the tea, raising an eyebrow at the unique taste it gave him.
As the son of the Celestial Emperor, he has obviously never seen common-quality tea, let alone tasting it, causing him to be profoundly puzzled at the unique taste.
However, it didn’t taste bad. In fact, he quite liked it.
“This what kind of tea is this?” he asked Li Qinqin who just returned after disappearing to clean herself.
“You have never drunk green tea before?” she asked him with a surprised expression.
“This is tea is called green tea? Indeed, this is the first time I’ve tasted something this unique,” he said casually.
“…Unique?” Li Qinqin was dumbfounded by the way he described the taste of green tea. Has he never tasted tea in his life before?
Ignoring his weirdness, Li Qinqin sat down in front of him.
“So? What do you want to see in here? There are only very few places I can take you without getting in trouble with the elders,” she said.
“Anywhere is fine; I’ll be satisfied no matter where you take me,” he replied casually.
Li Qinqin nodded at his request, and she began pondering the places she will take him to.
Tian Yi continued sipping on the green tea, enjoying himself with this unique tea that could be found everywhere in the mortal world.
‘This tea is really good!’ he said inwardly, already deciding in his heart to buy some when he has the chance.
“Do you want some more?” Li Qinqin asked him who had unknowingly finished the entire teapot of green tea.
Tian Yi, for the first time in his life since leaving the Celestial Palace, decided to not be humble and nodded. “If you have any more,” he said.
Li Qinqin got up and went to brew more green tea as Tian Yi inspected the tea leaves.
“I have tasted countless types of tea before, but something as unique-tasting as this green tea is a first!”
If the world knew Tian Yi had been served something as low and unworthy as common tea from the mortal world, and that he even enjoyed it, nobody would dare look down on green tea as some lowly tea from the mortal world any longer!
Hell, it might even run out of stock as people would flock to buy as many as possible so they too, can say that they have drunk something Tian Yi has before!
===========
An hour had passed since Tian Yi experienced his first ever mortal tea, and he is still drinking it!
Li Qinqin could feel the sweat on her forehead as her stock of green tea has dramatically fallen after introducing it to him! She was nearly out after only an hour! Just how much did this guy love green tea?!
“H-How about we walk and drink at the same time?” she suddenly suggested, afraid that he’d drink all of her green tea if they stayed any longer.
“Hm? That’s fine,” he replied in a nonchalant tone.
They both then left the house, and Tian Yi began following Li Qinqin around the sect with a teacup in one hand with a teapot in the other!
Tian Yi was addicted to this mortal tea, but he had no idea himself!
