Legend Of The Perfect Emperor - Chapter 70
After Zi Chen disappeared, he went directly to the Disciplinary Pavilion, the place where his father, Zi Yuhan worked.
The Disciplinary Pavilion consisted of 1 Disciplinary Grand Elder, 4 Disciplinary Elders, and many disciples and servants that did the light work such as errands and being messengers.
The primary purpose of the Disciplinary Pavilion was to instill the regulations and orders set by the Sect Master of the sect and punish those who refuse to abide by the rules.
Bang!
Disciplinary Elder Zi Yuhan slapped the wooden, causing it to tremble nearly breaking it in half.
“You got beat up by an intruder who entered the sect without permission? Are you sure about that?” he frowned at his son, Zi Chen, that stood in front with him.
Zi Chen nodded and said, “Father, not only did that bastard beat me, he even broke the sword you gave me saying whoever made it must be trash!”
“That bastard called me what?!” Zi Yuhan stood up with an enraged expression. He was a weapons smither, and the sword Tian Yi had broken was one of the best works he has created by far. To have his best creation called trashed, any creator would be angry, let alone Zi Yuhan.
“Father, you have to find justice for me and punish that man! Not only did he dare to challenge the sect with his intrusion, he even dared to walk around the sect as though he did not care about being caught! He even seduced Li Qinqin with some evil methods, causing her mind to be muddled!” Zi Chen continued to spew bullshit in hopes to have his father avenge him.
“What gals! And Li Qinqin? That’s Li Liling’s younger sister that trash without talent?” Zi Yuhan did not expect Li Qinqin to be mixed in with this trouble.
Although Li Qinqin was a mere Outer Court Disciple, her sister, Li Liling, was a Direct Disciple of the Sect Master an exceptional genius in cultivation!
“What does Li Qinqin have to do with this? The Sect Master does not want Li Liling to be disturbed in her cultivation in any way, and it will be on all of our arses if Li Liling were to be disturbed because of Li Qinqin!”
“Father, that intruder was walking alongside with Li Qinqin when I arrived, and when I tried to confront him asking for his identity, that Li Qinqin, as though she had her tail stepped on, punched me!” Zi Chen said, dumbfounding Zi Yuhan.
“Li Qinqin attacked another disciple for him? And you, at that?” Zi Yuhan was truly surprised by her actions.
In his eyes, Li Qinqin was a quiet one someone who did not bother interacting with others and would only concentrate on tempering her cultivation. If it weren’t for her worthless talent that rendered most of her willpower and efforts useless, then Zi Yuhan would’ve definitely praised her as one of if not the most diligent disciple within the sect!
“Servants!” Zi Yuhan suddenly called out, and a few figures entered the room.
“Reporting to the Disciplinary Elder.” The figures bowed with respect before Yi Yuhan.
“Go find out whether or not this intruder that has been walking around with Outer Court Li Qinqin is still around. If so, then directly report back to me as soon as possible. If he left the sect, find out his identity!” Zi Yuhan ordered the servants.
“Yes, Disciplinary Elder.”
“Go!” He waved his hand to send them away.
“Father what about me?” Zi Chen asked him.
Zi Yuhan frowned and said, “Get your arse back to cultivation! If this intruder wasn’t an intruder, I would not have even bothered to help you deal with him!”
“Y-Yes, father!” Frightened by his father’s expression, Zi Chen scrambled out of the Disciplinary Pavilion.
‘Hahaha! Li Qinqin, let’s see how your new boyfriend deals with this!’ Zi Chen laughed inwardly as he walked back to his living quarters with the weight in his heart feeling a lot lighter now that his father will help him deal with this intruder.
Half an hour after Zi Yuhan sent his servants to look for Tian Yi and his whereabouts, the servants returned to the Disciplinary Pavilion with the news.
“Disciplinary Elder, the intruder followed Outer Court Disciple Li Qinqin back to her living quarters after the incident, and he is currently still there,” reported the servants.
Zi Yuhan nodded at the report. “Good. The four of you will head to the treasury after this, and the each of you will be awarded 5 silvers,” he said.
The servants smiled brightly after hearing that, and they bowed with even more respect than before. “Thank you, Disciplinary Elder, for your generosity!”
The servants left shortly after, and Zi Yuhan retrieved a jade slip from his robes.
“Get to my office right this moment; I have found the intruder.” Zi Yuhan activated the jade slip that allowed him to communicate with others from a distance as long as they also had a jade slip.
Zi Chen, who just saw his jade slip glow, heard Zi Yuhan’s words and ran out of his living quarters with a smug on his face.
It did not take long for him to reach the Disciplinary Pavilion.
Upon arriving, he went straight to Zi Yuhan’s office where Zi Yuhan was already prepared and waiting.
“If you cultivated like how you just ran here, you wouldn’t have lost to that intruder!” Zi Yuhan said, dumbfounding Zi Chen who did not expect a lecturing upon arriving.
“Y-Yes, father” he said with his head lowered, but deep inside he was still gloating over the fact that he will soon be getting his revenge.
“Let’s go!” Yi Zuhan said.
“Where did they find him?” Zi Chen asked out of curiosity.
“Disciples saw him walking into Li Qinqin’s living quarters!”
“What?!” Zi Chen nearly coughed up a mouthful of blood from jealousy upon hearing that.
To think the girl he’d admired for so long had brought another man to her house! Zi Chen was livid!
“Let’s hurry up and go! What are you waiting for?!” Zi Yuhan shouted at him who was standing there looking dazed.
“C-Coming!” he said, running after Zi Yuhan’s disappearing figure.
