Legend Of The Perfect Emperor - Chapter 76
Fu Xuefang stood in front of Li Qinqin’s living quarters that was missing a door, his heart filled with an obnoxious feeling.
Why does this place look like it had just been kicked down and robbed?
“Disciple Qinqin? Are you in there? This is Fu Xuefeng” he called out to her in a low voice as though he was afraid to walk inside almost as if he believed there was a ghost in there.
However, there was no reply from her even after some time.
Fu Xueyang forcefully swallowed his saliva and walked inside the room that gave off a solemn atmosphere.
And there, sitting by the table was Li Qinqin, her gaze staring blankly at the distinguished teacup Tian Yi had left behind.
She looked almost as though she was recalling some sorrowful event she had experienced in the past.
“Disciple Qinqin?” Fu Xuefang carefully called out to her in a gentle voice as though he was afraid to startle her.
Li Qinqin turned to look at Fu Xuefang in a slow motion. “Sect Master?” she hid the teacup in her robes before she stood up to bow.
“Disciple greets the”
“Stop, stop, stop!” Fu Xuefang interrupted her with waving hands. “You don’t have to greet any elders or myself from now on” he said with a stiff smile.
“Sect Master?” Li Qinqin looked at him in puzzlement why does he feel like a stranger despite this not being their first meeting? Was it because of his attitude that radiated with humbleness? What had happened to him?
“Anyway, I am here to ask you a question” he then said.
Li Qinqin silently waited for the question, but Fu Xuefang seemed hesitant on whether or not he should really ask her.
“Sect Master the question?” Li Qinqin asked after some time.
“Ah! Right I nearly forgot!” Fu Xuefang acted as though he was just trying to remember the question, but in Li Qinqin’s eyes, his acting was horrendous.
Perhaps his bad acting was because Fu Xuefang had never been placed in a position that would require him to be humble, much less hesitant to ask a mere question.
“T-That exalted Immortal God who hovered above our Sect just now What is your relationship with him?” he asked her in a mosquito-like voice, sounding like he was afraid he’d be scolded for asking that question.
Li Qinqin inwardly sighed at his ridiculous behavior, but she wasn’t shocked. In fact, she even understood very clearly why he was acting like that.
Immortal Gods are existences that are beyond mortal comprehension they are supreme beings that even ancestors of enormous sects would have to hold their breaths when around their presence.
Additionally, cultivators at the Divine Realm are so scarce that one can count the amount of people that have reached such level in the entire world since the ancient times with just the fingers on their hands!
“Disciple Qinqin?” Fu Xuefang became even more anxious upon seeing Li Qinqin silently stand there with her gaze staring at him intensively.
“Sect Master before I answer that question, can you perhaps answer mine?” she said.
“Of course! Ask me anything you want! As long as I know the answer, I will not hesitate to answer!” Fu Xuefang said instantly without thinking.
Li Qinqin nodded. “Then, does Sect Master know of anyone named Tian Yi?” she asked him with anticipation in her eyes.
“Tian Yi?” Fu Xuefang repeated the name.
Out of all the questions he was prepared to answer, Fu Xuefang was not prepared to be asked about a person.
“No, I have never heard of him before,” he said after a moment of being dazed.
Li Qinqin’s mood suddenly turned solemn, and Fu Xuefang quickly continued “However, I heard there is a Tian Clan within the Purple Cloud Continent.”
The light in Li Qinqin’s eyes returned after hearing that.
“Really? Does sect master know any more about them?!” she asked quickly.
“If I recall correctly, the Tian Clan is one of the four great clans in Purple Cloud Continent with a Profound Realm expert as the clan head,” he said.
“Purple Cloud Continent Profound Realm expert” Li Qinqin lifted an eyebrow.
Why would they have a Profound Realm expert as the clan head when they have a Divine Realm expert?
“I see Thank you, Sect Master! As for the answer to your question I have no relations with senior Immortal God!” she said clearly, nearly causing Fu Xueyang to cough up a mouthful of blood.
‘What do you mean you have no relations?! Did you think I missed him saying your name so clearly then?!’ he cried inwardly.
“Also, sect master, I would like to see my elder sister Liling one last time,” Li Qinqin pulled Fu Xuefang from his inner thoughts with her sudden words.
“What do you mean one last time?” he asked her with a frown alongside an obnoxious feeling in his heart.
“I have decided to leave the Dragon Gate Sect and become a traveler to temper myself,” said Li Qinqin with a resolute face, dumbfounding him.
“L-Leave the sect?” Fu Xuefang doubted his ears.
He knew of Li Qinqin and Li Liling’s relationship very well, but that only made it harder for him to believe her words.
“If you leave the sect, then what about your elder sister, Li Liling? She will be worried to death and wouldn’t be able to cultivate properly knowing that you, her beloved younger sister, is gone!” he said, hoping she’d rethink her decision after hearing that.
If this was before he knew that she had a connection with a Divine Realm expert, he would’ve been ecstatic to hear her speak of leaving the sect, even willing to personally escort her out!
Now that he is aware of her connection with a Divine Realm expert, he wouldn’t be willing to let her go even if he had to give Li Liling’s exalted position as a direct disciple to her!
Li Qinqin smiled bitterly, but the determination on her face did not dim at all. “She will do fine even without my presence here,” she said calmly.
“I have been aware of my attachment towards her for the longest, and that is what kept my determination to cultivate strong so that I would not get left behind by her” Li Qinqin turned to look at the pagoda in the distance. “However It is about time for me to grow up and walk separate ways”
“…”
Fu Xuefang turned silent. He knew that no matter what he says today, Li Qinqin would be leaving the sect; it was written very clearly all over her resolute face, after all.
He sighed inwardly. If his sect if he hadn’t treated her with unjust because of her lack of talent if they didn’t compare her with her elder sister and saw her for who she is, a hard-working disciple with impressive willpower and determination, would she be having different thoughts now?
Fu Xuefang sighed out loud after a moment. “Very well… Follow me, I will take you to your sister,” he said and turned around to walk towards the pagoda.
Li Qinqin took a second to toughened her determination some more before taking a step forward to follow him.
