Legendary Sword God Sect - Chapter 185
“Now that I think about it, I feel that those two young fellas shouldn’t be contained within my kingdom, they might end up being corrupted by their greed and ambition for power. ” The Voyager Emperor said while sitting on his throne, his face seemingly aging rapidly over the past month as wrinkles started to form on his face.
“Emperor, I don’t get it. From the moment you decided on the agreement with the Evil Overlord realm, all of us have warned you about the coming of the day where you regret your decision might come. If you were fixated on not listening to us since the beginning, then please don’t push all the blame to those two youths who are destined to fly free.” This time, Robin who was Nightin’s guide when he first entered the kingdom was the one speaking up for him.
“Valir, I have warned you not to bring in that youth by the name Nightin. Did you think that my only disciple Ash won’t be enough to lead the kingdom?” Silver asked right after, his defiant tone showing the stand that he takes.
“Emperor, so now you’re trying to ruin the kingdom’s chance of promotion just to keep your power against two youths?” One of his advisors stood up and questioned, the rest soon doing the same in unison without any of them taking his stand.
All this was within the expectations of Valir, the emperor of the Voyager kingdom until he saw a woman downed in an elegant white robe and a silver crown with rubies embedded on it stood up, her earrings were made of gold and were carved intricately. When she stood up, Valir felt the world crumbling before his eyes, tears welling up from the deepest parts of his heart.
“Why? What have I not done enough for you to betray me without the slightest hesitation?” Those were the only words that Valir managed to speak before falling onto his knees, only to hear the apologetic tone of the woman he loved most.
“I’m sorry, but you’re no longer the man I once loved. The man once deserving of my love had died ever since the day he lost his ambitions to conquer all the kingdoms and let those Supreme kingdoms know what defeat means.” The woman said with tears glistening in her eyes of beauty, the fragility of a queen who always sits beside her king weeping.
Back in those days, she was known as Victoria and was the ruler of the Victoria city she built up single handedly as a woman, she had no support back then and talent was at best average when compared to those renowned geniuses who were already on their way to taking over their parents as the family head, some already given the position of assistant sect master and authorised to take over once their cultivation base reaches the threshold.
At that point of time, she had been expelled by the sect because they found her a burden and even if she didn’t leave, they would just use her as a slave instead until the day she dies for any apparent reason that is valid.
Left with no choice, she left them and met the man of her life, Valir who had once been young and ambitious at that point of time met her. Initially, she played dirty and stole from Valir when he was asleep after he saved her from a pack of wolves, but he had expected that and left a tracking mark on his items just so that he could locate her.
From there, she realised that trying to escape was futile and soon gave up on the idea and before she knew it, she had already fallen in love with him through those constant fun moments. After that, there was one moment where she got separated from him because she heard a voice calling out to her from the darkness.
Victoria herself wasn’t sure what happened during that period of time, but all she knows is that her cultivation started to grow exponentially from there and in just the span of around for years, her cultivation base soared from the middle stage Martial Lord realm at the age of twenty to the completion stage Martial Saint at the age of twenty, becoming the goddess and angel in the eyes of many as they built a statue of her and finally gave the city a name.
The city was named after her and from then on, many talented youths came from those lands far and wide to propose to her and attempt to capture her heart, but it would always result in failure as she would always shut them down directly, with the reason that they don’t have the qualifications to be with her.
It was also at that time Valir vanished from her life during that night, they were lying down on the grass patch facing the night sky with smiles plastered on their faces, their fingers were tightly interlocked and without knowing when, Valir was the one to leave this time around. She searched everywhere starting from the neighbouring cities and yet was unable to find any information on where Valir might possibly be.
In the end, her cold heart convicted her to focus her efforts into ruling the Victoria city as it became the greatest merchant city which refused promotion to become a kingdom just because Victoria insisted on it, but soon all the rejections of her selfish idea began to fade as they began to be recognised as the world’s greatest trading port and possibly the place with the thickest concentration of holy energy.
But after six years, on her birthday at the age of thirty, a young man came proposing to her as the ruler of a minor kingdom not even in the third grades at that point of time, but she decided to abandon everything she had built up in that period of time when she was left stranded, all alone by herself striving for no purpose.
Before she left, she made sure that everything was in order and every four years, she would return to maintain that everything is still in order as she passed her authority over to the person she trusts the most under her, the black velvet Lilith which goes by the nickname Lily.
But still, no one dared to steal her position after all these years even though she was a female with a petite build despite her age, this is because everyone knows that she is more than just a Loli at the middle stages of the Overlord realm, but someone known for her shrewdness and cunningness when it comes to trading. When it comes to battle, the fear for her just amplifies as she targets her opponent’s most important body parts without holding back just to attain victory.
“Stop thinking about what happens next, it’s about time they returned to the kingdom gates.”
Leaving without even turning back, Victoria struggled as she forced the last words she had to say before leaving “If the day where you have even greater ambitions ever come and you can ensure me eternal love without neglecting me after just one year, then I might return to your side one day.”
“Also, I’ll get those two youths to leave the kingdom first since they already have the intention of judging from the hostility their aura brings forth.
Stepping out from the window, a holy circle will always be beneath her feet as she makes her way through the sky and descends before Nightin and Ash as one gigantic holy circle forms beneath her feet.
“Don’t ask about my identity or why I’m here, just know that you should leave while you still have the chance.”
Ash wanted to pursue the matter further and ask all those questions he had, but Nightin placed his arm out and stopped him as he said respectfully “Thank you senior for notifying us, I hope that the day where we can repay you will arrive in the future one day.”
Getting the answer she wants, Victoria leaves behind a bitter smile before leaving for a place where she can hopefully find peace.
“All soldiers, get ready as we prepare to take the first step in our plan! From today onwards, general Ash will be in charge of all soldiers present in the forming of the Military academy which will be built in the biggest town owned by the Nirvana sect in the Inferno realm.”
“Senior Ash, the town which will be used for the entire development process should be known by you as well. It’s the Hellfire land which has been constructed into the size of a town since we have yet to clear out the remaining land, but that area will be yours to conquer and clear one day.”
From there, Nightin then made his way to the sect with Lancelot while Ash assured once and again that he knows where the Hellfire land is and that Nightin and Lancelot should continue on with whatever matters they have at hand for now.
“Alright then, thanks!”
“Ash, I don’t know when we’ll meet again, but I hope that the day we meet again will be the day our name storms this universe, we’ll show them what it means to start afresh from the beginning.”
“Haha, of course! How about this? Let’s give ourselves a deadline, five years will be the time and by then, it’s about time we both step into the Martial Saint realm as well.”
“Keep your word.”
That was the only reply that Ash got before Nightin vanished from his sight on the samsara sword, Lancelot following closely behind on his lightning dragon.
Damn it, I hate goodbyes.
