Legendary Sword God Sect - Chapter 186
On the way back to the Nirvana sect, Nightin was surprised by the amount of heavenly energy that this area possessed. The heavenly energy might only be cultivated by cultivators below the Martial Spirit realm, but that change doesn’t apply to one certain type of cultivator. They were known as the Heavenly Jewel chosen ones and by cultivating heavenly energy which is thick in concentration compared to spirit energy, their cultivation speed is at least ten times faster the first tier geniuses and when they awaken their third of the four jewels, the heavenly jewel energy they possess would be comparable to Demi energy.
“Lancelot, did you somehow manage to seize control over this area by defeating the changer here?” Nightin asked as they made a turn to the right before picking their speed back up instantly.
“Yep. It was Alexander who did it though, but I doubt that he’ll be able to free himself for the time being since he’ll be occupied with more important matters.” Lancelot said as he soon asked after “Aren’t you curious as to why Alexander is busy these few months?”
“You should know my temperament, hide matters any further from me and you should know my next course of action.” Feeling the long lost sense of fear running down his spine, Lancelot could feel the warmth which he once lost returning to him.
Opening his mouth to speak, Lancelot realised that he didn’t know what to say either, all he knew is that his sect master is back and it’s about time they strive for the greater cause as a sect.
“It’s fine, I’ll know once we’re back in the sect anyways. For now, just slow down and fly alongside me and enjoy this once in a century tranquility which doesn’t come by easily.” Nightin said through his time worn breath with a sigh, finally understanding that the word mature is nothing but a lie to deceive oneself.
But of course, he also understands that this isn’t something that someone his age should understand, because this is only a mindset that those who are on their last breath will realise when they think back about their life.
It was already nightfall by the time they arrived at the Inferno realm even with Nightin’s traveling speed which was much faster than Lancelot in comparison.
“Sorry sect master, but Alexander had warned all of multiple times to not spill the beans, claiming that it’s something which he should be telling you personally and that if anyone tells you before him, it means that we don’t even treat him with the slightest respect.
“Oh? Did he really say that?” Nightin asked, slightly surprised by Alexander’s actions as they approached the land of rebirths claimed by the Nirvana sect, the lands stretched far and wide and just on this Nirvana continent of the realm alone, there are hundreds of thousands of disciples.
About twenty five thousand were inner disciples while only about one hundred and twenty managed to qualify as core disciples.
As for the legacy disciples, it’s still just them in the end. The reason was simple, all of them possessed the ability to defeat a core disciple in one move without much effort. The difference between their combat strength was too vast and until the day official changes were set, the core disciples will never meet the criteria for promotion and they were sure that the current core disciples didn’t stand a chance of promotion.”
“It’s fine, I’ll deal with that when the sun rises.” Nightin answered after hearing about the incident, making a change in direction to the mountain opposite the Nirvana sect’s next expansion area.
“Sect master, what are you doing here?” Lancelot asked when he noticed Nightin perching himself on a tree while lying against its sturdy back to face the sect.
“I’m just waiting for the sunrise, early dawn would be the perfect moment to wake the sect up with flames.” Nightin answered with a smile, his eyes closing as his breathing stabilized with him falling asleep shortly after.
It has been a long time since he felt this tranquility once again, it might be short lived but this brief moment of rest was all he needed to free himself from the shackles of life before continuing on this arduous path where taking a rest is nothing but an impossible dream to fulfill.
“Sect master, it’s about time that you make your way there, the sun should be rising soon.” Lancelot spoke softly to awaken Nightin from his peaceful rest, knowing that he would hear him.
Blinking his eyes a few times, Nightin stood up and facing the sun, he told himself that he only had less than a year left to save Charlotte. He still needed more strength and even though the sect behind him will be willing to risk their lives for him, it’s his woman that he’s saving and he’ll do it himself regardless of the setbacks.
“Got it, open your eyes wide and see what’s going to happen next.”
Seeing Nightin’s sinister face and laughter full of evil intent, Lancelot knows that everyone in the sect is in for a good show up ahead.
“Alright then, I’ll be situated somewhere to hide in the sect to spectate the show then.” Lancelot left on his lightning dragon, his laughter resounding around the whole area as birds seemingly scared of his laughter chirped and flew away.
Flying towards his sect, flames cloaked his body as violet flames formed a storm of meteorites behind him.
“Disciples of the Nirvana sect! Get your ass right here now before I destroy the sect!”
What?
That was the only reaction of the disciples as they rushed towards the main court area, some of them still in their sleepwear while some who had been training through the night while disgruntled by the fact that they had to end their cultivation abruptly.
Nightin merely smiled as the disciples arrived batch after batch, but when the legacy disciples besides Lancelot who was supposedly still missing arrived, their mouths were open in shock and neither of them was able to speak.
Their mind was in a turmoil and whatever they say right now wouldn’t seem to fit the context, are they supposed to say good morning again like they once used to or are they supposed to do a formal greeting now that their statuses have changed.
“Sect master, disciple Alexander pays respect to you!” With Alexander starting the greeting, the other legacy disciples soon followed up as the other disciples stared at this scene, unsure of what’s the best way they should be reacting at the moment.
“I’ve returned!”
When Nightin said this, the meteorites above his head soon condensed into words as they formed ten lines of words, each of those lines were the new changes and arrangements going to be implemented with immediate effect.
Firstly, disciples will now be divided into five different tiers. The arrangement goes by entry disciple, outer disciple, inner disciple, core disciple, legacy disciple.
This is where the second change comes in, all disciples will be entitled to different privileges and in order to ensure that every disciple gets a chance, they can opt for the upcoming military academy of taking up a profession or even duty such as scouting for information.
The third change is the one which ensures that the growth of the sect will only increase rapidly. All disciples will receive the chance to enter the Nirvana refinement machine which Nightin is going to set up soon enough once he accumulates a thousand system coins.
The fourth change requires all disciples to now be wearing the sect’s custom made robe, the robe will be crimson in colour with a scarlet belt and will be given to all disciples regardless of their rank.
The fifth change will be more of a benefit as the four old foundation training rooms are finally going to be replaced with a thousand improved version of the combat strength training room which he decided at the last moment. As for how he got it, he spent all the hundred system coins just received from the mission.
The sixth change will be the improvement of the Martial tower which will now have only five layers to correspond with each respective rank of cultivation technique.
The Mystic grade, the Earth grade, the Heaven grade, the Saint grade and as for the god grade unique to his legacy disciples, even he hasn’t managed to see one yet.
The seventh change is the announcement that there’ll be another mountain opening soon for all those interested to learn the ways of replication and mirrors or step into the battlefield, not as soldiers but guards determined to protect the cities and lives of citizens.
The eighth change is the increase in difficulty for all promotion criterias which will be fixed later on.
The ninth change is the news of the military academy that’s going to be part of their sect after it’s built.
Last but not least, the final rule will give one the chance to become an admin officer as they find a city willing to have them as the lord and develop while it’s weak, making it a city linked to the sect to extend their network.
