Lesbian But Not - 143 Chapter 140
“It.. it was horrible!” Meghan burst out into tears as she came to the police officer for a hug. “It was so terrifying officer! A serial killer had almost killed us all! Good thing you came here so quickly! I was so horrified!” It didn’t even last a minute and she already threw herself into the officer’s arms.
“Change sides much.” Lawrence snarkily whispered under his breath. “I mean for god sakes. It didn’t even take a minute and she’s already trying to leech over someone else.”
“Maybe she’s just really traumatized. I mean if a person tried to kill you, of course, you’d feel horrified. I mean that happened to me when that assassin got into the castle remember?” I tried to reassure Lawrence but he just shrugged it off.
“Eh. I don’t really understand why you’re risking your head for that piece of trash. You really need to up your standards princess. Imagine accepting the first person that says nice words to you. Talk about low standards.” He scoffed me off.
“Not really. I mean, I know she’s a bit shady and all but I don’t think my conscience is going to let me do that to her. I was just given this trait of mine by my grandfather to defend the helpless, and she yelled out for my help, so that’s why.” I responded, reminiscing about my grandfather and the things he taught me when he was alive.
“Whatever. I’m not even going to argue with you at this point since it already happened but you better be sure that you know what you’re doing princess.” He goes closer to me to whisper into my ear. “Remember what that guy mentioned? Meghan is notorious for using others as guinea pigs for her little game and for her advantage. So just warning you since I don’t want you to end up like that.”
“I’m well aware of that. I may be naive but I’m not that stupid Lawrence.” I responded, chuckling as Lawrence seems to underestimate me quite a bit.
“Right…” He narrowed his eyes sarcastically, making me glare at him intently to intimidate him. He then laughs and changes his opinion. “Ah. Sure. Fine. I believe you. Geez. No need to look at me like that.”
“Good. I guess we’ll have to head home now huh?” I look at Meghan who’s clearly invested in the police officer now more than me. Guess this is what it feels like to be left out of something all of a sudden…
“So what really happened here? We were called by whom exactly?” Another policeman came by to ask us again.
“Actually… I don’t think any of us called you over here. Did you guys call them?” I turned around to Meghan and Lawrence for answers but the two of them shook their heads in refusal.
“Oh! No need!” Meghan raises her hand to get their attention. “These guys need to go back to their dorm rooms already! I’ll go to the station and provide everything that you need to catch this person that’s doing this!” She suggested, forcing the two police officers to go back to their car whilst she places her arm on my shoulder.
“Hey.. thank you for saving me today. I appreciate you defending me even if your brother wasn’t exactly too fond of it.” She thanked me, sounding so sincere about it.
“You’re welcome. I mean, you are my first friend besides Lawrence so of course I’d help you but remember about your promise right?” I raised my eyebrow at her.
“Oh right! I’ll explain everything to you once I get back from the station. I’ll tell you all the information this time without anything to hide okay? Anyways thank you so much again. You really are a good friend Celestina!” She pats me in the back before finally heading over to the police officer’s car so they can interrogate her.
Leaving Lawrence and I just dumbfounded at what had just happened to us. Looking upon the sky, it was already night time, the moon was shining so brightly in our direction, making me yawn from the exhaustion.
“Let’s head over to our dorm room now… I’m kind of tired now.” Lawrence tells me, signaling me to follow him back to the dorm room.
As we were walking back to the dorms, I couldn’t help but think about something that’s in my mind. Who called the police over to the area and why would they do so? Did someone witness us and then decided to call the police or something.. though whatever it is. It’s thanks to them that we’re safe.
“By the way, Lawrence, do you have any idea on who called the police?” I went ahead and asked Lawrence who’s eyes were already dripping down, wanting to sleep.
“Don’t really know who but honestly they should have called the police AFTER the killer finished her off.” Lawrence chuckled before yawning from exhaustion.
“Who knew we would have something like this when we’re about to head home..” I started with small talk to pass the time.
“I hope this is the last event that’s going to happen today. I can’t have another event that’s possibly going to make me have insomnia again ruin my sleep.” He stretched his arms, inhaling deeply before finally exhaling.
“Same. I think I had enough excitement for one day… though, shouldn’t we report what just happened to the school’s office or something? I mean wouldn’t it be good that they know that’s a serial killer lurking around here.” I suggested to him but his face turned into a scowl as I suggested it.
“Wha.. what? Did I say something wrong? Why are you looking at me like that? I just said if we should report it or not..” I narrowed my eyes onto him.
“You do realize that if they find out that something like that happened to you. Your parents will also know about it. If they find out, they might send you back home to Aurora or possibly send someone here to guard you or something.” Lawrence flinched at the idea. “Also, you’ve seen those pleasing people right? They literally kiss your arse when you’re around. They’ll make it apparent that you’re special and you’ll end up losing the normal life you dreamed of for yourself.”
“That is true but isn’t it better to be safe or something? Especially since I literally just got drugged a few hours ago and now I’m getting attacked by a serial killer. There are just so many enemies and I don’t think this is REALLY normal.. don’t you think?” I expressed deep concern about the current situation.
“Alright then. I guess it would be best to report it. We’ll just see what happens. Also, I’m pretty sure when Meghan reports it to the police, the police would tell it to the campus anyway so there’s no point in trying to keep it a secret, I suppose.” He nodded slightly before finally reaching for something in his pocket.
He takes out his key and sighed loudly. “UGH I’M so exhausted, my feet hurt so much..” He ranted as we continued to climb up the stairs of the dorm house. Looking around, it looks like most of the students are already in their dorm rooms sleeping. I guess it’s because it’s a school night.
“By the way? When is Meghan going to spill the beans about why that serial killer was attacking her? You know, you shouldn’t have trusted her when she mentioned that to you. It’s obvious that she’s clearly avoiding it because when you finally know you’re not going to help her.” Lawrence advises me but I just put it to deaf ears. I trust my intuition. I don’t think Meghan would betray me after what I did for her.. right?
We walked for a bit before finally reached over to our dorm room. Lawrence opens the door and then locks it after we got in. He also locks it with the sliding lock so that we were securely safe. Don’t want anyone getting in after what just happened.
“Let’s just talk about everything that happened tomorrow alright?” Lawrence tells me as he goes and grabs a towel. “I’ll go ahead and take my evening shower and then go to sleep. See you.” He says as he goes over to his room.
I took a deep breath for a second as I head over to my room, my tiredness made the bed so comfortable when I laid down on it. I guess it’s a good night for me now..
