Level Up Family - Chapter 81
When Marius’s group entered the mission area, many paid attention to him and his group. There were many E Class Parties as the active D Class Party, the Buster Bladers having already left after causing a commotion.
“Hey, that’s that Edgewick guy, wasn’t it?” Someone asked while hinting at Marius with his eyes.
“Oh, yeah, that newbie from today’s Drilling Trial, I heard he went on his first mission today; it appears that he’s formed a party with those three gifted ones as well,” Another person said.
“Ah, what kind of beast do you think they killed?” The former individual asked.
“No idea, but it’s at the very least, guaranteed to be something adequate,” The other person said, thinking it not to be too formidable.
Marius didn’t want to waste time as it was late; he quickly headed towards the nearest counter, whereby a pretty female receptionist greeted him.
“Good afternoon, Seeker Edgewick. Are you here to turn in a mission?” The female asked.
Marius nodded and replied, “Correct, but… this mission wasn’t done by myself; I worked with these kids behind me.”
The female made a curious look as she stared at Leya, Quon, and Illiak, glaring at Marius due to his former statement. Still, she didn’t keep distracted for long; she promptly made a polite smile and inquired.
“Great, might I ask which quest your party is turning over?”
Marius frowned at the word party, but he shook his head before speaking, “A simple one, I take it that you should know this creature’s head.”
Following his words, Leya and the others looked at each other before showing looks of excitement. The female receptionist didn’t have much anticipation as she heard the words ‘simple one,’ she calmly observed as Leya waved her hand, causing her wristlet to shine before releasing the massive head of an ape beast.
When the female receptionist saw this, not only her but everyone in the nearby vicinity had looks of alarm on their faces, beginning a brand new commotion in the mission area of the Seeker’s Union.
“That… that’s the head of the Silverback Mystic Ape! You’re telling me they completed that Upper-Class E Grade Mission?!” One person exclaimed.
“Incredible, that thing was said to have given even newly instated D Class Seeker’s a hell of a time; how did the hell did they pull it off?” Another person said in shock.
“And I thought that those guys from the Buster Bladers were on the rage; it looks like things are more than I’d expect.
The commotion continued as even the female receptionist looked at Marius and his party with awe. Leya giggled as she puffed out her chests; Quon also raised his head, having an air of confidence, Illiak on the other hand, scratched the back of his head shyly.
‘Tsk, as expected of kids…’ Marius thought to himself as he shook his head; not wanting to waste any more time; he looked at the receptionist and spoke.
“Hey, I really need to get going; how about that reward?”
“Ah, please forgive me, I’ll be done in a sec,” said the receptionist, who soon regained her composure; her face reddened a bit as she quickly calmed her emotions and looked over the reward details.
After confirming everything, she an object onto the head, which caused it to turn into moats of light entering the device. Not long after, she then took up a small ring and placed it on the table before replying, “All done, here is your reward, please do come again.”

Marius smiled at his notification but paid it no mind as he took the ring with interest; he scrutinized it before using his mystic power to touch its surface. Soon, an image appeared in his mind, showing a stack of Krills, numbering up to 11000.
‘Ohh, handy, but not as good as my storage space. Still, I can always use it as a means of covering it up.’
Marius thought with a smile as he put the ring on his finger; he turned around and spoke, “Come on, let’s go.”
Leya and the others nodded and followed behind Marius, who soon left the missions area, headed to a quieter place. While leaving, a slender figure stared at Marius’s group, eyeing them deeply before turning and leaving to a corner.
Here, a fat-faced figure sat down with his finger tapping a desk; he looked at the slender male that came over and asked, “So, how was it? What did they kill for their first mission?”
“Young master Lawrence, they… they…” The man tried to say something but hesitated.
“They what? Hurry and spill it!” Jack shouted in annoyance.
The man sighed and spoke, “They took down the Silverback Mystic Ape.”
“What?!” Jack said in shock, he would have never thought such a thing could happen, he glared at the man, thinking he was lying, but the man trembled, lowering his head.
Jack knew that his lackey wouldn’t lie; he clenched his fists tightly, whiling thinking with sharp eyes, “This cannot do, they’ll only grow to overshadow my party, I have to do something, anything…”
The lackey seemed to could have told Jack’s thoughts; with a pensive look, he spoke, “Master, I believe there’s something you should know about that Edgewick.”
“Hmm, what is it?” Jack asked.
The lackey looked at him and spoke, “He offended quite a few names, one, in particular, being that big-timer from that Ivanov’s Battalion Unit, the Rose Pickers.”
Jack was surprised by this; he snorted while speaking, “Hmph! He actually had such guts to offend such a fellow, this works better; I think I might have a perfect idea, hehe.”
The lackey felt creeped out by Jack’s laughter but didn’t say anything as he calmly listened to the plan spoken off with somewhat fearful eyes.
In another location of the Seeker’s Union, Marius and the others had arrived at a silent sector; Marius waved his hand, causing 6000 Krills to appear on top of a table before he spoke.
“Alright, I believe that should be enough for you guys.”
Leya looked at the cash and frowned as she spoke, “Hey, that’s too little!”
Quon shook his head a bit discontented, but as for Illiak, he didn’t seem to mind the money.
Marius stared at them and spoke, “Well, you were the guys that chose to follow me. Remember, if you want more, then you’re going to have to be of more help, maybe getting stronger first, haha.”
“You…” Leya gritted her teeth and grumbled but didn’t say anything in the end; she took up her two thousand from the bunch.
Quon sighed and did the same as Illiak took his share last with no complaints.
Marius nodded at this as he spoke, “Good, I’ll be going home now; I hope you guys get stronger for the next time.”
“Hmph! You wait, uncle; you can’t stay the strongest forever!” Leya said in a tone of a challenge as she shook her slender fist.
“Haha, sure,” Marius said as he walked off, his figure soon fading from their eyes.
Leya shook her head at this before looking at Quon, who spoke to Illiak; she asked, “Hey, what are you guys going to do tomorrow?”
Quon looked at her and spoke, “I was thinking about what Sir Edgewick said, we’re going to train. Do you want to come?”
Leya thought for a bit before nodded as she replied, “If I can show off the next time I see him, then it’ll be worth it.”
Quon nodded at this, his eyes also burning with competitiveness, Illiak, though silent, also felt the same. Their group soon after left the Seeker’s Union before separating and vanishing into the night-lit streets, bringing an official end to their first adventures.
