Life As A Servant - Chapter 100
Neither Bin nor Ann were aware of the unexpected visitor, who was making her way to the building.
Ann wanted to believe that the news about Galen’s death were fabricated but after seeing Bin’s expression, she knew that the famous doctor really died, though the circumstances revolving around his death still remain mysterious and unexplained.
“I don’t care if it’s your sister or anyone else. You can’t speak of me to anyone else! Including Jasmine!”
Bin raised his voice as he warned Ann, who frowned but didn’t insist on her proposition. She didn’t know why he was showing such a strong rejection but pressing him any further will only make him angrier.
What she didn’t know herself is that by trying to help Bin, she involved herself in his matters, especially those related to his tragic past. If the people from the facility do discover him, they won’t spare her even though she has a powerful backing.
‘Those people don’t care but Dr. Galen did say that I don’t have to worry about them any longer.’
It has been a long time since he heard any news of them, which made him a bit relieved. Fortunately, they were sure that Mina is dead and he’s considered a failed subject so there really was no need to search for him, or so he thought.
Nevertheless, it’s still safer for less people to know about his condition. If word of his odd sickness were to spread, ‘they’ would surely come after him and there will be no place to hide. Not even the invisible woman guarding Jasmine’s mother would be able to keep him safe.
“Alright, let’s sto-”
Ann’s words got stuck in her throat as her pupils constricted. Her gaze was looking at someone behind Bin, which caused the young man to turn around only to see a red-haired woman making her way toward them. Without hesitating any second, he dashed toward the toilet while motioning for Ann to say nothing about him.
Yes, his actions were abrupt and suspicious but Scarlett paid him little attention as she thought of him as one of her sister’s regular patients. He only threw a side glance at the visitor so she wasn’t able to recognize him, plus, she cared very little about his somewhat inexplicable actions.
“Here you are!”
Scarlett furrowed her brows and walked toward Ann, who was behaving oddly. She kept looking at the closing door of the toilet while trying to think of an excuse, which was unnecessary as her sister didn’t say anything about the disappearing Bin.
“B-big sister.”
“So you know that you have a big sister! Hmpf!”
Ann tightly hugged her sister while resting her head on the latter’s chests. Ann was a short person despite her age and didn’t look older than sixteen despite being actually 23 years old!
“I missed you!”
Ann snuggled in her sister’s arms while acting cure and loving. Seeing her little sister like that, all the anger dissipated from Scarlett’s face as she caressed Ann’s head while softly smiling.
Only after ten or so seconds did the two separate and sit next to each other.
Have you been eating well?”
“Yes!”
“Sleeping well?”
“Yes!” Ann repeatedly nodded her head, though her mind was thinking of something else entirely.
Scarlett leaned closer to her sister and worriedly commented: “You look very tired *sigh* I told you to not work all day long. You have to leave this place and meet new people. Once you get old, you’ll regret not socializing more!”
“Yes, big sister. Sorry.”
Ann cheekily smiled, unlike her usual grumpy attitude. Actually, she wasn’t faking it as Scarlett is her only family and despite not interacting on a daily basis, the two sisters were very close and share everything with each other, which is why she recommended Scarlett to Bin.
The two talked for quite some time while Bin holed himself in the restroom. He was still wearing the hospital gown and could not go retrieve his clothes, moreover, Scarlett’s arrival totally surprised him. He never expected the red-haired honorary guest of the academy to be Ann’s big sister. As he wasn’t far from two doctors, he clearly heard their conversation but it was never his intention to eavesdrop.

As her servant was stuck in a restroom half-naked, Jasmine was not pleased to see him not with Rika. She tried calling him but she got directed to voice-mail, causing her to start inaudibly cursing. She accompanied Melissa to the villa and was currently in the restroom too.
Back in the living room, Melissa was sitting next to Rika, who looked much better but seemed a bit fidgety as if she was hesitating on whether to talk or not.
“Are you okay Rika?”
In response, the short-haired girl nodded her head and softly smiled at her concerned friend.
“Don’t worry, I’ll stay with you from now on. You’ll be staying with me until everything is resolved, okay?”
Rika didn’t object and held her friend’s hand while expressing her gratitude. After a brief period of silence, she retrieved an odd object from her pocket while saying:
“A-actually, can you tell me what’s inside this?”
Melissa knitted her brow as she saw the syringe and the little bit of liquid remaining inside of it. Surprisingly, it was none other than the one used by Bin that night, he thought he threw it away but Rika managed to retrieve it without his knowledge. Even though he told her not to worry about it, she still couldn’t stop thinking about it hence her current actions.
Seeing her friend’s strange expression, Rika added: “It’s not mine. Can you please look into it?”
In response, Melissa smiled and stored the syringe away. “Yes, of course. But, where did you get it from?”
Rika did give a reply, which made the blond girl a bit confused but she didn’t ask again she just said: “It’s fine. You can tell me later.”
A few seconds later, Jasmine entered the room while clenching her phone, almost breaking it. The two girls quickly switched the topic as Melissa asked:
“He did not reply?”
“No! Honored my ass!”
“Hm? What?”-Melissa
“Nothing nothing! I’ll properly educate him when he comes back!”
