Life As A Servant - Chapter 111
Scarlett was the first to react, she appeared right next to Bin and checked his pulse but that only surprised her even more. His heart was beating so fast that just touching any part of his body will make her feel the accelerated beat. She signaled for Ann to help her as she ripped the clothes using a scissor. Although Bin was injured more than one time, there wasn’t a fatal injury but since he was subjected to a lot of mana, his body started automatically repulsing it.
As his top clothes were removed, both of his shoulders were profusely bleeding, precisely where the pumps were located at. Ann’s face paled as she leaned closer in order to examine them but an inaudible sound was echoed inside of her ears.
Simultaneously, the pumps were ejected from his body, hitting Ann and Scarlett then falling into the ground. The two doctors could barely do anything before there was a red light emanating from his waist. The red crystal was previously in a hidden pocket on his chest but he put in his pockets right after he was saved. Unfortunately, neither Ann nor her sister could reach to the crystal as monstrous magical force pushed them away from the unconscious Bin.
The invisible woman, who was standing at the entrance, frowned and gazed at the mysterious red light. Even with her perception, she didn’t notice the existence of the hidden crystal. Scarlett quickly got up and attempted to get close to Bin but an even greater force flung her all the way to the sofa. The two females panicked as they were unable to treat Bin due to the hostile red light.
Three meters from Bin, the air distorted and a woman stretched her hand, trying to snatch the source of the red light but, like the two doctors, she was pushed. Despite her extraordinary physique, she was only able to watch the strange unfolding event.
“What do we do?”
Ann looked at the tall black-clothed woman and asked. After all, she was the only real magic*user here and they don’t know how to get rid of the red light.
The masked woman raised both of her hands and released blue energy from her palms but it was nothing compared to the red light, which extinguished within seconds. As an assassin, she was good at killing people but releasing pure Mana is useless and costs a lot. Moreover, the red light coming from within Bin was getting stronger.
At some point, a triangular red crystal made its appearance, it slowly floated above Bin and positioned itself right above his chest. It seemed to be absorbing the Mana in his body and turning it into the devastating red light. The small object slowly but surely fell down, its sharp tip drilled into the young man’s chest.
Bin didn’t react at first but when half of the crystal entered his body, he emitted a loud cry and regained his consciousness. He almost fell from the bed but managed to stabilize himself while gasping for breath, the servant didn’t even glance at the three women looking at him and, instead, used his left hand to grab a sharp medical instrument. It was a curved knife which can easily pierce and cut the skin Bin clenched his teeth and used the knife the cut around the red crystal before throwing it to the side and using his hand to forcefully pull it out.
The pain was agonizing but Bin managed to hold on and pull the red crystal out after fifteen seconds, however, a lot of blood gushed out from the small but very deep wound at the center of his chest. Even with the naked eye, you could see that his body was acting like a vacuum and sucking all the Mana and dispersing red light.
Bin tried to sit up only to fall from the bed, though his hand never let go of the red crystal, which was trying to enter his body through his bloodied palm. Fortunately, Ann and Scarlett snapped out of it and went to help him.
He refused their assistance and just said: “P-put in a closed box of water! Quick!”
It was the last thing he said before he fainted, from the excruciating pain and extreme mental and physical fatigue. Scarlett cautiously held the crystal and did as the young man told before she went back to Bin and resumed treating him.
In the end, both female doctors spent the whole night operating on the unconscious Bin, whose body now had more than eight black spots scattered all over. As the situation was urgent, the red-head doctor wasn’t able to examine the spots or experiment. As for the black-clothed woman, she stared at the now calm red crystal before leaving the laboratory.
When the sun started rising, the two sisters were barely able to keep their eyes open. Ann was dozing off on the sofa while Scarlett was reading a few documents and results related to Bin but her eyes were half-closed and her head was resting on her chin.
Bin’s condition was stabilized and other, more efficient pumps were planted inside of his limbs but, just like Scarlett said, they won’t last for long. As for the red crystal, neither of the two dared to get close to it, not after seeing it trying to penetrate Bin’s body. The strange sight was horrifying and showcased how dangerous that thing is.
