Life As A Servant - Chapter 123
“Hey! This is not the amount you promised!”
A blond-haired tall youth harshly slapped the victim, causing the latter to stagger a few steps, a clear red mark on his cheek. His round glasses fell on the ground but he didn’t dare pick them.
Bin, who accompanied his master to school, went back to the usual secluded spot to rest but saw the same sight as before, a case of bullying with the same two parties involved.
The three guys from last time were surrounding a thin and short student, who was trembling like a pig about to be slaughtered. The leader of this small gang was quite handsome, he wore small black earrings, had a tattoo on his wrist, and looked like a third-generation arrogant young master was lucky to be born with a silver spoon in his mouth.
Bin did ‘advise’ the bullied student to try fighting back but, from the looks of it, he didn’t heed his words and chose to remain as a victim, always being oppressed and extorted of money.
In fact, most of the students of this magic academy were rich so the reason they’re bullying the glass-wearing young man wasn’t because of man, they just wanted to vent their anger and flaunt their superiority. It’s basically a way to comfort their inner-selves and convince themselves they can do anything they want.
“M-my father only sent this a,amount.”
With a shaky and low voice, the kid spoke to the blond guy, the former’s head was hanging down, his eyes looking at his feet.
“I don’t care about that!”
The blondie kicked the student’s abdomen, pushing him against the wall and making him fall. The other two students, which looked average, joined the ‘fun’. One of them picked the glasses and said,
“We’ll keep this until you give us the rest.”
The other was more ruthless as he stepped forward and kicked the helpless student right in the chest. The victim held his chest and spat some saliva, his quiet groans seemed quite pitiful.
It was at this time that the blondie noticed Bin, who was at the other side of this narrow alleyway situated between two of the academy’s buildings.
“What are you looking at?”
Facing the student’s question, Bin shrugged his shoulders and casually said.
“Nothing, do continue.”
The blondie looked at Bin and noticed that he wasn’t a student’s uniform so he didn’t do anything rash. Today, Bin was wearing an expensive black suit, it was one of many Jasmine bought for him and put in his room’s closet. She didn’t force him to constantly wear butler clothes so he wore this for today. It made him look mature and responsible, especially with those sharp facial features and snow-white skin.
In the end, he just snorted and resumed bullying the weak kid. A few minutes later, when class was about to resume, they left with the youth’s glasses.
Bin could hear quiet sobs as the youngster was holding his knees and burying his face within. As it was time to meet with Jasmine, he walked past him only to be suddenly stopped.
“Wait please wait!”
Bin creased his brow and half-turned his head, glancing at the red-faced student. Seeing the stranger look at him, he became embarrassed and couldn’t get the words out of his mouth. After ten or so seconds, he finally managed to squeeze a few words.
“Help me!”
He recognized Bin the moment he saw him but he knew that asking for him when they were here could possibly implicate him, furthermore, it didn’t look that the stranger would lend a hand anyway, but he still pleaded, hoping to end this cruelty.
Help? Others have it worse than you. Fight back and maybe someone will step up to end this.”
Bin left after uttering those words. As for the student, he stood up soon after and ran toward his classroom, though only after making sure his eyes were no longer wet and swollen.

“Rika, you really hired a servant?”
Curiously and excitedly asked the annoying Cara, her eyes sweeping a glance at the masked girl talking with Bin.
“I’m surprised too.” Commented Melissa, her eyes also watching Elise.
“Mhm, I figured that a bit of company might help me.”-Rika
“Yes, you guys should hire a servant too! Some are fore sure rude” she glanced at Bin then resumed, “But they are helpful and can take care of many things.”-Jasmine
Cara and Melissa questioned their friend about Elise and why she’s wearing a mask but they only got perfunctory answers, which didn’t satisfy their curiosity.
“You were right, the facility won’t attack this place.”
It’s the first time Elise came to such a place, she was fascinated and even a bit excited. As a magic-user, the knowledge here can benefit her greatly but, unfortunately, she’s only here as a servant.
“I have already told you that.” Bin sighed and then looked at Rika.
“Make sure she doesn’t do anything stupid. If they appear then call me immediately.”
Bin actually and unexpectedly bought a phone for his sister. In case of an emergency, it’s best if they can communicate quickly and it wasn’t that expensive anyway. Furthermore, he has a decent amount of money now and should make much more in the future, before his looming death, that is.
“Ah and make sure you tell Rika that you’re coming with me this evening.”
“Where are he heading?
“I know two doctors, who are helping me find a cure. Since your condition is much better, they may be able to help you too.”
Elise didn’t object as, by now, she trusted her brother just like he trusted her. There was no denying that they were family and they were in the same situation so it was better to ignore the unfamiliarity and unite to fight the enemy.
