Like A Ray In My Night - 64 You Said Nothing About Tha
Yun Bei Fen had no idea where he had gone wrong but the instincts from his early days in the sect kicked in when he saw Baili Chao’s livid face. He grabbed Mei Chao Bing’s arm and tried to drag him to the door.
Mei Chao Bing smiled and slowly got up, putting an arm around Yun Bei Fen’s waist and giving him a reassuring smile. “What are you running for? They won’t set out without us, will they? Besides, it’s not that late yet.”
Elder Baili was fuming even more when he heard that. That brat! He actually dared to question his words right in front of him?! Unfortunately, there was no way for him to refute his words. It was indeed too early for the disciples to set out and since the two of them had arrived in such a high-profile way, the others would certainly notice if they were missing and send somebody to look for them. They wouldn’t leave without Yun Bei Fen and Mei Chao Bing. Thus he could only keep quiet and watch the two of them leave the room.
Mei Chao Bing stopped in front of the door, let go of Yun Bei Fen and even took the time to clasp his fists and bow in front of Baili Chao before he closed the door and took the little bunny away.
“I’m sorry if I woke you up. I just wanted to talk a little more with your Master so we could get to know each other better. I know he’s very important to you so I’d like to get along with him well.”
Yun Bei Fen had stars dancing in his eyes. Mei Chao Bing was such a good person! Because he knew that the liked his master, he actually put in so much effort! He couldn’t believe that his Master treated him so badly and even screamed at him. That wasn’t nice at all. When he saw him the next time, he should tell him that should treat Mei Chao Bing better in the future.
Mei Chao Bing reached over and brushed back his hair. “Where did you leave the little bunny, little bunny?”
Yun Bei Fen blinked his eyes. Little bunny? “Xiao Hui is with Da Hei. But why am I a little bunny?”
for visiting.
Mei Chao Bing smiled and nudged his nose. “Because you look like one.”
Yun Bei Fen reached up and touched his cheeks. “Really?”
Mei Chao Bing nodded. “Yes, you’re so small and so cute. What would you look like if not like a little bunny?” He leaned closer and their lips touched for just a moment before he leaned back again. “Alright, let’s get the two of them and then we should go and meet up with the others. When we go out, you shouldn’t leave Xiao Hui in the room. Even if it’s very small, it’s a spiritual beast so it also needs to be treated like one.”
“Your meaning is ?”
“You should let it run around a bit. It won’t go too far since you are bound by the contract. But it needs some space for itself where it can hobble around and find some food. It’s important for it to grow.”
Yun Bei Fen nodded and the two of them already arrived back in front of the door to the room. Yun Bei Fen opened it and hurried over to the bed, picking up the little bunny from the ground. “Xiao Hui, I’m back!”
Da Hei gave the two of them a look as if it thought they were stupid and turned away when Mei Chao Bing raised his brows at it. Ah, it seemed his midnight wolf didn’t have big guts after all. As long as the person looking at it was stronger, it wouldn’t dare to show its thoughts too obviously even if it thought they were idiots.
Mei Chao Bing walked closer and pulled his little bunny into his arms. “Didn’t I just say you should let it have some space and not carry it around all the time?”
Yun Bei Fen looked up and grinned. “You didn’t say anything about not carrying it around! And it can have space. But aren’t we going to meet up with the other disciples now? It’s such a long way. How will Xiao Hui keep up with us?”
Mei Chao Bing leaned down once again and caressed his cheeks with his lips. “Well, Xiao Hui is a spiritual beast, They have more strength than a normal animal would have. It’s alright to let it tag along on its own. Just imagine you would always have to carry it around when you happen upon demonic practitioners. What then? You won’t have your hands free to do anything.”
Yun Bei Fen pondered and finally nodded. “That’s also true.” He put the little bunny back down and then stayed crouched down, looking at Da Hei. “Mei Chao Bing, now that you’ve signed a contract with it, is Da Hei still dangerous?”
Mei Chao Bing also crouched down and reached out, patting Da Hei’s head. “Doesn’t seem like it, does it? You can also pet it if you want.”
Da Hei glared at him, showing that it absolutely wasn’t happy with this treatment. Mei Chao Bing just smiled. Since it didn’t dare show too obvious that it was dissatisfied, he would just ignore it. This was merely the beast being proud. If it was really uncomfortable, then he would also tell Yun Bei Fen not to touch it. Even though he indulged his little bunny, as long as Yun Bei Fen was too passionate about it, he also wouldn’t always give in to him.
Mei Chao Bing turned to look at the ceiling. Well, he’d see if he wouldn’t give in to him if the situation arose some time. To be honest, he wasn’t too sure.
