Lilim Heritage Online - Chapter 240
Chapter 240 – Poking a Hornet Nest
“I’m sorry. My master seems busy at the moment,” Lucien reported his conversation with Moo.
The situation was hopeless. They could not possibly go against these millions of kobolds by themselves.
Misha got quiet, thinking about her options.
*ZAA*
Sounds of sea waves hit the shore became background noise on the beach as Misha was pondering what she could do to get out of this situation.
*ZAA*
Because of the quietness, Misha gazed at the army, who occupied the entire beach.
Then, she noticed that some of them were standing in the shallow water area. Waves of seawater hit them over and over again. Yet, they were standing still.
“Say, Lucien…”
“Yeah?”
“Do you when the high tide timer of this beach?”
“I don’t know… wait!”
Lucien caught on what Misha was thinking when he glanced at the beach. Many kobolds were still standing in the sea area.
The water level hit their knees at the moment, and the tide was low. Once high tide arrived, most of them might die in the ocean.
Still, Misha was too optimistic. Lucien did not think that the a.d.u.l.t Misha would let these soldiers sink in the ocean by that time.
“Their leader will probably arrive before the high tide comes. Since they’re standing like idiots, let’s kill these guys.”
Lucien did not wait for Misha’s confirmation. He turned around and sent a sword wave at the clueless kobolds.
15,000!
His attack power was higher than when he fought with Misha. She did not know if Lucien’s strength had been upgraded by Moo, or he grew stronger by himself.
Still, his reckless action aggroed the entire army of 9 million kobolds.
*AWOOOO*
Betraying Lucien’s expectation, these kobolds were not robots that would wait to be slaughtered. They jumped at him and retaliated.
“Yikes!”
The aggressor ran away along with the pursuers. Lucien pulled a train of million kobolds toward the east, where the town located.
Misha also ran away together with Lucien even though the kobolds did not try to harm her.
“Good job, you stupid doge!”
“Woof! I thought they wouldn’t retaliate!”
“Obviously, they would!!”
Both runners were in tears as they dashed with everything they had while the angry mobs barked and chased after them.
*RUMBLE*
The stomping and running of kobolds caused the ground to tremble. They kicked the dirt, creating a cloud of dust as if a sandstorm hit the island.
.
The movement of the massive army caught the attention of the townsmen, including the looting master, Shurka.
Shurka had been running back and forth between the battlefield, her pantheon, and her bank as she kept collecting items, money, monster corpses, and precious treasures, such as status orbs and artifacts. Had there been a wealth ranking, Shurka would have been ranked 1st.
Currently, she was the only one who was able to fly. Although many players changed their race to dragonewt, they could not fly as their wings were too small in the beginning. Since it took time for every dragonewt to grow their wings, they got stuck with the growth period, unable to practice flying for a few months.
With the privilege of the sole flying unit among all players, Shurka rushed toward the incoming army to get the first dib.
Upon getting closer, she found two frantic runners, who dashed with everything they had to get away from the chasing army. Both Giles Corey and Lucien’s crying faces were so memorable that their drool and snorts came out of their nostrils and mouths, worthy of being recorded as a meme.
“If Natalie and Sasha’s theory was true, then Misha’s soul should be inside Giles Corey’s body. Should we save them?”
*Mii* (Let’s carpet bomb or firestorm those monsters. They’re free kills.)
“But we won’t gain EXP though. Their strength is too weak.”
*Mii* (Don’t forget the loot!)
“Right! The loot! For our money, wealth, and items!”
Shurka began summoning fireballs and orbited them around herself.
She learned this technique by accident during the chaotic fight when a player stole a kill-shot of her prey and forced her to delay her fireball. Upon the discovery that she could keep more than one fireball and summon another one, Shurka began using this technique as a secondary weapon after her primary skill, firestorm.
Flying above the army, she cast a firestorm.
A fire tornado with an EF3 scale’s wind speed of 150mph manifested in the center of the kobolds, dragging thousands of them into the whirlpool of flame.
Every kobold in the radius of a kilometer stopped moving as they tried to resist against the strong wind.
As if Shurka poked a hornet nest, kobolds roared an in anger and began throwing rocks or shooting arrows at her.
Unlike Slime Soldiers, who were considered as field bosses, these kobolds did not have a sword wave skill. As ordinary mobs, they could only use regular attacks.
Shurka grinned. She welcomed all attacks.
1!
1!
1!
All projectiles only inflicted minimal damages to Shurka’s flame field barrier, which had over 200,000 HP.
“Kekeke! More loot, Fireball!”
Shurka dropped all of her fireballs at the kobolds.
.
.
*BOOM*
*BOOM*
*BOOM*
Explosions occurred behind Misha and Lucien, who were running for their life.
They looked back in curiosity.
Upon seeing a fire tornado and several explosions, Misha guessed that it might be Shurka since she was the only one with that skill set. Moreover, she could fly, so these monsters were easy games.
As Shurka stole the aggro, the army stopped chasing after Misha and Lucien.
“We’re safe, woof!”
“… I don’t think so.”
Misha was concerned that after Shurka killed all these kobolds, she would be overwhelmed by slime invasion in her mind space. Like a good boyfriend in real life and a lily-breeding-fairy in-game, she cared about her girlfriend’s safety.
Recklessly and foolishly, Misha turned around and started sending her thunder sword slashes at the kobolds.
25,000!
25,000!
25,000!
Misha’s burst damage killed a few kobolds in an instant, which aggroed nearby monsters.
“Come on, bitches. Bring it!” Misha gave them a middle finger and wiggled it.
*AWOOOO*
Before Misha could move, the black slimes from the dead kobolds invaded her mind space, or Giles Corey’s mind space.
Her body paused for a second, but Misha cleared the slimes without a problem.
However…
15!
10!
25!
12!
The one second of pausing allowed the kobolds to land many attacks on her. Although the damage was low, they added up. From 300,000 HP, Misha had 290,000 left.
“LUCIEN!!”
The doge-man turned around, “Yeah?”
“Help me kill all monsters around me! I’ll deal with all the slimes!”
“Eh? Whatever you say!”
Lucien stomped his foot and send earth spikes to every kobold, who was attacking Misha. Soon, more kobolds died by his skills, and more black slimes invaded Misha’s soul as she stood closer to the monsters.
Misha became a tank, taking on stray arrows, swords, and rocks. Her HP gradually decreased, but they were not as fast as before.
More sword waves cut these kobolds, yet the aggro did not shift to Lucien as they had a habit of attacking a possessed victim.
Because of Lucien’s repeated attacks, kobolds dropped to the ground, one after another. However, Misha got stuck in her mind space, taking care of all black slimes.

Tama glanced at the notification panel as a flood of messages spammed his screen.
*Mrrr* (Banana Mish sure is working hard.)
At the moment, Misha’s avatar was resting inside a shack. Her upper body was bare n.a.k.e.d, but a pair of furry hands were rubbing the round chests.
*Mew* (Time is up, banana catto! Are you going to extend it again?)
Moo, who was sitting behind Misha’s body, was panting. Yet his hands did not release what he was grabbing.
“20 more minutes!”
*Mew* (You have spent an hour already. I need to check if you have enough orbs to pay. Heck, haven’t you gotten enough!?)
“I have 100 more!”
Tama’s tentacle eye glared at Moo. Although she managed to con 60 orbs from Moo with this shady deal, she got annoyed by Moo’s never-ending desire. Fortunately, Tama barred Moo from any form of insertion. Or else, Misha’s avatar might have been soiled.
Still, Tama got impatient. She wanted to get Misha’s soul back into this body, so they could be together again.
Because of the anxiety, Tama came up with a bold idea.
*Mew* (I have a proposal. It will be expensive, but I guarantee that it will satisfy you.)
Moo’s eyes sparkled.
.
.
.
10 Minutes later, Misha’s avatar put her clothes on and left the shack, flying toward the battlefield. In Misha’s inventory, she became 160 orbs richer as Tama plundered them from Moo.
The eggcat’s mini tentacles took a potion from Misha’s inventory and poured them into one of her tentacle mouths. It gargled, not caring about the sound and manner before she spat them out.
*Meh!* (Bleh! Disgusting! I won’t do that again!)
In irritation and regret, Tama took out 20 more red gels from Misha’s VIP inventory and ate them, cleaning her tentacle mouths with the taste of virus jelly.
*Nom-Nom Meh* (Don’t blame me, Mish! This is my deserved rewards! I conned Moo for you!)
While she was at it, she used all orbs, getting Misha’s overall status to a higher level than Moo. She also stared at a quest item, the memory no.2.

Sasha, Natalie, Des, and Non gazed at the approaching army in horror. Their abnormal status effect had not yet disappeared, more slimes were coming for them.
“H-How many are there, nya!?”
The massive army took over the horizon. As if the land was paved by kobolds, they could not see anything but monsters.
Fortunately, they stopped marching. Sasha and others could see a fire tornado and a group of commotion from a distance.
The tornado was from Shurka, which was easy to guess. However, Sasha worried about the fight on the ground.
Misha could have been there.
They had learned that Misha’s soul got separated from her real body, so they worried if something might happen to Misha.
“Should we go?” Asked Des.
Still looking at the battle caused by Lucien and Misha, Sasha made a decision, “Let’s gather all players that haven’t gotten [Mentally Exhausted] debuff. Bring all other guild leaders, too, so they can cooperate.”
“Should we tell them that this is a death game?”
“Just be frank with them. We don’t need half-hearted cowards on the frontline. Tell them that once this event is over, we’ll help them move away from this server.”
“… Do you even have a method?”
“… I have demi-fairy sisters in other servers. They’ll help them if I ask them.”
