Lilim Heritage Online - Chapter 243
Chapter 243 – One After Another
While Misha and Tama were farming the kobolds, impatient players left the city and scouted the surroundings for enemies.
Five minutes after Misha and Tama began fighting, players found the massive army. Since kobolds could not move because of Misha’s psionic puppeteer skill, everyone rushed in for their golden chance to farm stats.
After another 10 minutes of the discovery had passed, 10,000 players in server one heard the news and joined the hunt. Since there were plenty of slimes, everyone rushed there to obtain some fair share of free attributes.
As for the rest of the players and Wet Banana Guild elites, who had gotten abnormal statuses, they only observed the battle from afar as they did not want to risk dying in the mysterious space.
Although they regretted that they got the abnormal statuses too fast, all players already obtained a few status orbs, which gave more stats than killing a regular black slime.
One ordinary black slime gave only one free status point, but an orb gave 100. This difference relieved them from desire and greed, which avoided unnecessary chaos or conflict of interests.
In the beginning, due to the abundance of monsters to kill, every player cooperated and hunted as many black slimes they could. After an hour passed, each of them killed 400 to 500 kobolds and black slimes, which decreased the kobold army’s number by half.
Unlike the field bosses, these minions were easy to kill. They only had 10,000 overall strength, and they were sitting targets, so everyone could use anything to kill these monsters with ease.
Still, a greedy group wanted to monopolize the kobold horde. They did not want to share these precious status points to other players, but they want all these remaining kobolds to themselves.
Reeman, the guild master of [Government Authorized Yeeting Smurfs] Guild, aka G.A.Y.S., pronounced as kai-is, brought his friends over. 200 Guild members pointed their guns at nearby players, chasing them away from the kobolds.
“Get lost! These monsters are ours! Reeeee!”
“We own this farming location! Scram Reeeee!!”
Because of the previous invasion of slime soldiers and knights, many players obtained status orbs from dead monsters, which increased their overall stats.
Reeman, a demi-hydra player, who had died several times fighting against field bosses, managed to grab a hundred orbs for himself, raising his strength to 25,000. His guildmates also got some of them as they were smart enough to follow after Shurka and Natalie and ultimately scavenged some dropped items.
Currently, this Yeeting guild’s strength was second after Wet Banana Guild. Their overall power ranged between 15,000 and 25,000, which was on the high side. Because of their sudden increase in power, they replaced the INWTRUE guild’s influence as the latter’s pay-to-win executive members either had died or had been summoned to the hardcore server.
*BANG*
*BANG*
Head Shot! 2,750!
1,150!
Reeman killed a player, who was in a trance as he was fighting against a black slime in his mind space.
After the player died, the black slime jumped from the dead player’s body toward Reeman, entering his soul. The guild leader stopped moving for 30 seconds before he regained his sense.

“Hahahaha!” Reeman was elated. He wanted more free attributes from the slimes.
“Boys! Kill any player that doesn’t move. All their items are also ours!”
None of them cared about their karma points at this stage of the game since they had raked a substantial amount to pay for the PK penalty. Losing a hundred or two hundred points was nothing when they had over 50,000 karma.
200 G.A.Y.S. elites began shooting at players instead of killing kobolds to steal their items and black slimes. Soon, a thousand players in their area were murdered when they could not defend themselves.
After they had wiped out the surrounding players around them, Reeman’s men took their time hunting the defenseless kobolds. Yet, Reeman and some of his friends had another idea.
They turned toward the commotion far away, where Tama was roasting kobolds for food. Sound of explosion and flame eruption occurred every 10 seconds, which was easy to notice.
Reeman’s eyes glittered with greed.
“That must be a Wet Banana’s elite,” Reeman guessed, “Let’s go and kill their members. I think they should also have some artifacts with them.”
Reeman lost his 5-Star artifacts when he died previously, but he managed to get a replacement from dead players from the INWTRUE guild. Because of the profit, he got addicted to looting other player’s corpse for rare items.
Now, Wet Banana guild members looked tempting since they were the number 1 guild in this server. Therefore, from Reeman’s speculation, Misha’s guild members should have good items or had many useful artifacts in their inventory.
Reeman’s friends nodded. 200 players followed after Reeman to the area where Misha and Tama were hunting.
.
.
Dead players from various guilds, who were killed by Reeman’s goons, began complaining in the world chat.
“Those trashy cowards!! Come and fight me like a man!”
“Those GAYS looted my artifacts!”
“GAYS!! Is this how you play the game?”
“We’re playing a death game here, and you’re taking advantage of others at this time!?”
“Reemoron! I’ll find you, and I’ll kill you and your 9 generations in real life once I get out of this stupid game!”
Everyone was enraged as they lost all of their valuable items in their inventory, including unbound artifacts they bought from the VIP shop.
Des and Sasha noticed the commotion. They sent a warning to their guild members.
[Be careful if you’re fighting kobolds outside of the city. Stay away from G.A.Y.S. guild. If you have high karma, kill them if you have the chance.]
With such a warning, all guild members became tense. Fortunately, most members had been inflicted with abnormal statuses, so they stayed inside the city, resting and waiting for their debuffs to disappear.
Tama also noticed the warning message, but she ignored it since she did not think that there would be any stupid player coming for Misha.
90 Minutes after Misha and Tama began their killing spree, 10 minutes after Reeman and his gangs began monopolizing kobolds, Misha’s psionic puppeteer skill wore out. All kobolds were able to move.
A chaotic commotion ensued as other players did not expect the frozen kobolds to move. Even Tama was taken aback when her preys began retaliating against her flame breath.
The 10,000 players could not possibly fight against the remaining 3.5 million kobolds even if their strength was much weaker than current average players. As they were outnumbered, kobolds killed all opportunists one-by-one by ganging on them.
Still, a few players manage to outlast the army. Reeman and his friends with high stats had the advantage of power-difference buff, and they had evolved into either demi-hydras or dragonewts. These two races had an advantage in tanking or dodging.
Reeman had STR-AGI-DEX built status attributes, so his melee combat was better than when he was using firearms. He switched his weapon to a glaive and began hacking at these doge-men.
The followers of Reeman, who had changed their class to a dragonewt, also cast flame field barrier to cover their teammates. All of them formed a formation to protect their friends when they were attacked by any sudden mind-space-invasion from black slimes.
As Reeman and his party killed more kobolds, black slimes stopped their movement and attacked their souls.
At the first hour of the sudden awakening of all monsters, Reeman’s party held on and reaped many profits from the status gains. Their tankers, the dragonewt players, took turns to cast flame field and replenished their PF and Hunger Bar, while damage dealers kept feeding all party members black slimes.
But an incident happened when they began having the notorious [Mentally Exhausted] and [Weaken] debuffs.
One of 200 G.A.Y.S. members stopped moving and looked around in confusion after the latest soul battle. His name in-game also changed.
A new title, Black Slime Knight, was added in front of his name.
“Who am I? Right, I’m playing a game, but I have to find the imposter. That first ranker is the imposter! All players are her allies! KILL ALL THE PLAYERS!!”
The converted player turned around and started hacking at his friends.
.
.
.
After two hours of combat, Tama got used to her fighting style, but she got tired of spitting fire. The eggcat pilot Misha’s body to fly up, so they could catch a breath.
Tama ate another red gel while she shoved a hamburger from a lunch box set in Misha’s mouth to recover her Hunger Bar, so she could cast another flame field. They had to because their prior 3 million-HP-barrier was reduced to a broken 10,000-HP-glass-dome, which could be shattered with a few attacks.
Misha regained her senses after she had slain the 8,000th black slime. Although she was not tired yet, she could feel that her soul was getting sluggish. No debuff effect appeared on her character, but Misha knew that she would get one soon.
Tama and Misha looked around themselves. Ninety fireballs orbited around her body, waiting to unleash their wrath upon the enemies.
“Tama, let’s drop all these fireballs, and we’ll call it a day.”
*Meh* (Aw, you’re tired already. What a noob.)
“Meh, I’d love to see how you fight in mind space, you conceited little banana eggcat! Do you know how dangerous soul combats are!?”
*Meh* (Don’t know. Don’t care. Whatever… Fire-f.u.c.k.i.n.g-ball!)
*BOOM*
*BOOM*
*BOOM*
A carpet bomb of 90 fireballs scattered throughout of the angry kobold army, killing thousands of monsters. Those dead kobolds released the possessing black slimes, which invaded Misha’s soul at once.
*Mew* (Eww. Good luck, Mish!)
Tama piloted Misha’s body away as she had expected that her partner would be exhausted after this fight.
Upon seeing the burnt victims of her fireballs, Tama grinned while she took a cooked leg of kobold and started chewing it with her 20 tentacle mouths.
*Nom-Nom…* (More mass. I need more food.)
30 Seconds later, Misha regained her senses along with the additional debuff effects above her head. She was now no longer in shape to continue fighting.
*Mew* (Good work. We have more status points! Let’s max everything!)
Misha heaved a sigh of relief and took a deep breath, exhausted.
“I’ll keep those for future use after we upgrade our class. I want to add more points to INT and WIS again.”
.
.
After Misha fled, players who went to reap some rewards either retreated or were killed by the kobolds.
Still, their effort was not in vain. The cooperation attack of 10,000 players, minus the backstabber of Reeman’s guildmates, managed to reduce their numbers to 3 million.
However, everyone had the nasty debuffs, [Mentally Exhausted], and [Weaken]. Only less than 10% of the players could continue fighting against black slimes in their mind space.
And now, 3 million kobolds arrived in front of the city walls, getting ready to siege the city. In front of the army, the new knights, the converted players, led the kobolds as new field bosses. Among the knight crews, Reeman and 100 of his friends were there.
As if they were converted zombies, they glared at the players in the city with hatred.
“KILL THE WET BANANA GUILD LEADER!! KILL ALL THE PLAYERS!!”
Sasha, Des, Non, and Shurka gazed at this giant army with pale faces. None of them had recovered from the fatigue conditions yet, but they had to be ready for another fight.
But the worst-case scenario had just started. A new server announcement appeared.
