Limerence - Chapter 10
On the other side, Gabby busied herself in the kitchen to entertain herself and to forget what happened earlier. She was preparing her dinner because she ordered their housekeeper not to cook dinner for them because Alex was eating outside, and she will be cooking her own food. In the end, the housekeeper prepared all the things that she will need.
She was eating when she saw her sister walking towards the kitchen. She was confused on why her sister would be here this early, she should be at mall watching a movie. She was baffled that her sister would always be home early every time that she expected her not to be.
“Alex! What happened? Where’s Cassie? Is the movie not good?”
“I suddenly have a dysmenorrhea, so I can’t stay longer. Can you grab me a warm water first? I’m parched.”
“Sure, sure! Lie in the sofa first, I’ll bring it there.” Gabby also grab a hot compress and a
mefenamic acid to lessen the pain.
Gabby passed it to her and wait until she takes the medicine.
“Feeling good? Do you still need anything?”
“Yes, thanks! Go finish your food.”
“Uh…okay! I’ll just eat. Call me when you need anything, okay?”
Gabby left and proceeded to the kitchen to finish her food. While eating, she remembered Cassie so she asked Alex again.
“Alex!” Gabby shouted from the kitchen.
“Mmm…” Alex responded loud enough to make Gabby hear her.
“Where’s Cassie? Is she staying here tonight?”
“She’s still in the mall. No, she said that she’ll be staying at aunt’s condo here.” Alex looked at the clock and continued.
“She’ll be done soon; the movie was about to end already.”
Gabby finished her food fast to watch the TV and joined her sister at the living room.
“You’re done already?” Alex asked when she saw her sister walking happily towards the living room with a pint of cookies n’ cream ice cream.
“Yup! Let’s watch TV! You want some?”
“No, I’m good. I know that’s not even enough for you.” Alex beamed at me.
“Okay, you’re choice!” I smiled at her too.
Gabby was about to turn the TV on when Alex’s phone suddenly rang.
“Wait! It’s Cassie.” Alex said.
“Hello!”
“Wait? What?” While Alex was talking, she looked at her. It confused her on why would Alex gave her that look, so she mouthed ‘Why? What is it? Did something bad happen?’
Alex shakes her head and said nothing in a hush tone then smiled at her. Afterwards, Alex signal that she’ll be going upstairs so she nodded her head and let her go, Cassie seems to be fine, so there’s no need for her to feel worried.
Alex went straight in her room and asked Cassie again, afraid that she misheard her.
“What did you say? He’s here? Miguel?” Cassie repeated her words and answered with a yes.
“Where did you see him?” Alex can’t help but asked.
“At the mall, I think he’s going to watch the movie also. It’s a good thing that you left early.”
“Well, you can say that. Do you think he’ll stay here for a long time?” Alex was in a deep thought, thinking for the reason on why Miguel would be here.
“I don’t know. By the way, he’s asking for the both of you.” Alex frowned after listening to Cassie.
“Another thing, what’s the time for your flight?” Cassie added.
“It’s tomorrow morning.”
“That’s a good thing. I’ll ask mom to set my flight tomorrow morning too. I’ll go with you guys.”
“By the way, are we going to let Gabby know this?”
“I…I think we don’t need to tell her yet. We’ll just tell her when the situation gets out of hand. For the meantime, we shouldn’t tell her first.”
“Okay! Well, that’s a good idea. Gabby just finished her therapy session, right?”
“Yeah, about a month or two already.” After talking about the other details, they said their goodbye’s and hang up.
Alex then laid in her bed and stared at the ceiling while contemplating if she made the right decision or not. It involves Miguel, and Gabby has the right to know that he’s here, but she was afraid that it will affect Gabby’s condition negatively, if she was to tell her. After all, Gabby just finished her therapy session. If she ever made the wrong decision, she’ll just explained the situation to Gabby when the time comes.
Alex let out a sigh and closed her eyes to sleep. She’ll just think about it tomorrow.
After all, nothing will happen today. Gabby is inside their house and it’s already late, so the possibility that they’ll meet with each other outside is too low.
