Little Miss Devil: The President’s Mischievous Wife - Chapter 601
“No, Miss! You definitely cannot go with them!” Zhang Qing held her mistress’s arm, forbidding her to take a step forward towards Feng Qianyu. While she understood that Lu Xinyi treated them well, it didn’t change the fact that they should be the ones to protect her. It seemed that Feng Qianyu wasn’t willing to release Jiao Jiao anytime soon, and that caused their mistress’ frustration.
What was taking the Fu siblings so long to arrive? Did they also encounter problems outside the banquet hall? How did Feng Qianyu manage to pass the security of the hotel anyway?
It was supposed to be a festive event, but Feng Qianyu chose to ruin the day by taking the chance to kidnap Lu Xinyi. None of them had thought that this party would become a nightmare. The woman in front of them wasn’t the same Feng Qianyu they’d been acquainted for the past year.
“Aunt! We must help Sister Lu to escape! Call someone to help us!” Han Yixin begged Headmistress Han in silence as she tried to stop her tears.
“Calm down, Yixin. I’ve already notified someone to send police here.” Headmistress Han hushed her and pulled her niece to hide under the table. “Whatever happens, you must not leave this place until we deemed it safe.”
“Gege, what the hell is happening?! Why’s Sister Feng harassing Xin Jie?” Tang Lilou clung to her twin brother’s arm. She was obviously scared but still worried about her cousin.
“I’m not sure, Lilou. I think Sister Feng is related to that Feng Zexian. Grandfather said that there was trouble at the Western Plains weeks ago which involves both Yi Gege and Li Yuren.” Tang Liang covered his sister’s head with his own arm, making sure not to attract the thugs’ attention. Before anything else, he should prioritize his sister’s and his safety. It was better to keep safe than to cause more troubles to their Xin Jie.
Tang Lilou gasped. So that was why! Feng Zexian would lure out their Yi Gege by taking Xin Jie. Of course, the Tang family was aware of Shen Yi’s sudden disappearance, and they also sent people to find him but to no avail. Shen Yi was nowhere to be found for the past two weeks. None of their people could locate where he was, and he had only been spotted back at the capital on the eve of Lu Xinyi’s arrival.
“Yi Gege should be informed about what happened here. They’re planning to take Xin Jie away.” Her face was filled with fear.
As the guests tried to figure out how to seek help from the outside, Lu Xinyi was trapped under Feng Qianyu’s scrutiny. Her back was stiff, and she could feel her palms sweating. With everyone’s attention set on her, she couldn’t be careless with her actions. A single mistake might cost someone’s life.
“Miss Lu, are you willing to die for them? I’ll give you the chance to decide. Come with us, and we’ll set them free; resist, and we’ll kill everyone including you.” Feng Qianyu sang out, trying to provoke the little devil.
If something wrong happened to Lu Xinyi, Zhang Qing would never forgive herself. She needed to find a way to make time until the Fu Siblings arrived at their rescue. However, she also knew she didn’t have enough time to waste as Jiao Jiao needed immediate medical assistance.
Meeting Feng Qianyu’s stare head-on, no wonder Lu Xinyi always felt someone’s always watching her whenever she was at the academy. Had Feng Qianyu kept an eye on her since she started attending Silver Leaf?
“Madam Shen, I’m waiting,” Feng Qianyu reminded her of her predicament, “I’ve waited for you long enough.”
“Tell me first why are you doing this? I did nothing to you, Sister Feng. Did I offend you in any way?” Lu Xinyi confronted her instead. She tried to suppress the fear in her heart and questioned Feng Qianyu’s motive.
Just when did she start stalking Lu Xinyi, and why was she keeping an eye on her? Had Feng Qianyu known from the start that she was married to Shen Yi?
“You still couldn’t get it?” Feng Qianyu laughed maniacally. “Isn’t it obvious that this is all because of your husband?” She sneered.
“Shen Yi not only hurt my father years ago, but he also caused the death of my elder brother. He took everything from us! Now, it is only proper for him to pay his debt with interests!
“You don’t know what kind of man you married, do you? Shen Yi was a despicable person. He probably didn’t tell you how many lives have lost in his hands.”
With her brother dead and her father injured, her hatred against Shen Yi rose to another level. She should have disposed of Lu Xinyi earlier when she had the chance. Now, her father had once again run away to save his life from Shen Yi.
Lu Xinyi never thought that her husband was perfect. She also got the impression that what happened at the Saffron Boulevard still troubled him to this day. He never told her the details of it; neither did she question his past.
Not everyone liked to lay everything in the open, and Shen Yi belonged to that group. His past, his scars, his troubles, and his fears; Lu Xinyi was aware of it. However, she never voiced her curiosity out of respect.
It might sound not healthy for some, but she would rather wait for her husband to explain things willingly to her than to dig into his past and cause trouble to their relationship.
“And you think your father shouldn’t be accountable for all the troubles he caused to other people? You questioned my husband’s personality, but have you ever thought that you and the rest of your family offended and hurt innocent people?”
Feng Qianyu refused to hear her words and scoffed. For her, it was Shen Yi who ruined her family and her life. She was pampered as a child and spoiled by her brother. With her brother gone, Feng Qianyu was forced to live alone and was sent to a relative to survive.
“Sister Lu, you certainly didn’t provoke or offend me at all, but you did infuriate your aunt, huh? That old woman must be thinking about how she fell on your tricks.”
So this was related to her aunt? Why she wasn’t surprised at all?
A month had passed since the downfall of the Sun Corporation, and her aunt must have lost her mind over the matter. Lu Xinyi had already expected that Sun Mingai would try to seek revenge but not in this way.
Her eyes narrowed as she thought about it. Since when did Sun Mingai know Feng Zexian? The gas explosion at the restaurant… was she the one behind it? There weren’t many people who knew the real cause of her father’s death.
Lu Xinyi so wanted to say that it was because her aunt was oblivious to the motives of people around her that a single ray of help from someone, she would treat them as savior.
However, this wasn’t the right time to play word games with Feng Qianyu.
