Living In Another World Is Gonna Be A Cinch - Chapter 1
A voice called to me in the dark. A soothing, yet eerie
“Don’t keep them waiting.” It said.
A glint of hope shined towards me with a door like appearance. The closer I moved towards it, the brighter it got.
A flash of light blinded me as I covered my eyes. When I finally opened them, no longer was my view shrouded with white and black. But, an unfamiliar surrounding.
More mysterious than the dark itself. No clue how I had gotten here or the purpose that I was brought here for. Though, I didn’t have much time to think as my attention was caught by my surrounding; the massive structure I was in.
‘Where am I. . .’
At the moment I was lying down looking up at the sky. I slowly stood up and did a quick check of what’s around me. All I could see in all directions was seating stands that made a complete circle.
My guess was that I was in a coliseum. An ancient one at that. Though, somehow, it seemed fresh. Like it was built just yesterday. The person who made it must’ve put a good amount of time and effort into building the seemingly large coliseum; The quality shown in the architecture of the place.
“Wow ” I spoke. my voice sounding weak as if it hadn’t been used it in ages.
My eyes wandered around the coliseum as I noticed several other people around me; most in which, were awake and just as confused as I was.
To add to the confusion, a woman walked in through what looked like the only entrance and exit to the coliseum. She looked small. At least smaller than I was.
Noticing that everyone started to gather around her, I also joined to see what what happening.
“Welcome to Lurik.” She announced loudly. “One of the remaining two human strongholds.”
There was a moment of silence that passed before she started speaking again.
“All of you must be confused at the moment. But, all your questions will be answered in time. At the moment, if you would, follow behind me.”
The lady gestured as she started to walk away. Although most of us were skeptical, everyone did leave the coliseum hesitantly; not like they had much of a choice.
‘What is this place, I’ve never seen anything like it. . . now that I think about I don’t remember seeing anything before I walked through that bright door. I can’t think of any place, every time I almost remember a place I’ve seen it drifts away.’
My mind is empty.
I finally caught a glimpse of the people that came with me. It looked like there was about a dozen of us. Most of them being guys. But, there were a few girls in the bunch luckily.
As we walked out of the coliseum, we were greeted with a town with people gawking at us as if we were a parade.
The people here were dressed weird. Their clothes look more simple and less flashy than our group. One guy caught my attention as he was wearing a suit made completely made out of metal even enclosing his face. He wasn’t alone too.
Looking at the group he was in, I seemed to notice the towering guy in the front and the people around him. They looked on a whole other level compared to everyone I was walking with. For some reason, I could even feel something strong emanating from them. An aura of some sort.
I felt terrified. “Are these people even human?”
“Huh.” A girl looked at me confused.
I gazed towards the direction of the voice and our eyes met; her eyes stared into mine. It felt like I was in another world for a moment. Her beauty captured me with her long, lushes, black hair and her cute expression.
‘She’s beautiful!’
