‘Act natural. Act natural. Act natural. Act natural. Act natural. Act natural. Act natural. Act natural. Act natural. Act natural. Act natural. Act natural. Act natural. ACT NATURAL! ACT NATURAL!!!! ACT NATURAL!!!!!!!! ACT NATURAL!!!!!!!!!!!!’
“N-Nothing,” I said, coming back to my senses. “So what is this place anyway?”
“I don’t know. I can’t remember anything abou this place.”
“Huh I can’t remember anything either.” Another person joined the conversation.
A boy strolled towards us. He had messy brown hair that was shaped in a way that made him look like a Playboy.
“Yeah, we just went over it. All of us don’t know anything about this place.” He said
“No, that’s not it. I just can’t remember anything about myself. Like I don’t know anything about who I am or how I got here. Not even where I’m from.”
“Yeah, I noticed that whenever I thought about anything about me or this place nothing would come up. The only thing that I can remember at all is my name and not even all of it just my first name.”
The man leading our group and who looked the toughest joined the conversation to add the information we were all looking for.
“If you can save the chit-chat for later then can we proceed with the tour.”
It was the lady who was showing us around. She still had a smile on her face but she looked more agitated.
‘Well who am I, I attempted multiple times to recall what Lurik is or where I was from but nothing came up. Then I started to remember one word that kept popping up whenever I thought about myself at all. Although everything else disappears this word stayed. It was my name.’
‘Saudo’
We all ended up following her after calming down. She showed us the market. It seems like in this place we can buy swords, armor, and other fantasy items, and at long last, we can to a stop in front of what looked to be the biggest building in the town.
“And lastly this in the Guild. Here you can choose and change job professions as well as keep up with what is going on in town. So choose your profession.”
“Oh I almost forgot to tell you. Your group is much different from most people in Lurik, you are the fourth summoned group of humans that were brought here to fight in the Outskirts. Your abilities grow a tad bit faster than the other humans but you don’t have to fight for us.”
“Now get out of here, I wanna sleep.”
“Um ok.”
She left the room with all of us still in there to figure it out ourselves. There were counters and a giant board with many pieces of paper on it.
Slowly we went to one of the many counters.
“Hi, how may I help you today.” A nice lady started talking to me when I got close enough to hear her.
“Well, we were hoping you could help us find a job in Lurik. Do you have any suggestions on what we should become?” I asked
“Ohhh well, there are a variety of jobs here. There are normal jobs such as a merchant, wash boy and such but even if you do get a job like that most likely you will be paid close to nothing. So I would suggest becoming an adventurer.”
“Adventurer?”
“You know, a warrior clad in armor fighting waves of monsters and gaining loot that they could sell for money, such an such.”
“Oh ok, so basically you are saying that the fastest way of making money is to fight and win against monsters. Like we’ll do that and risk our lives.”
It was Playboy, He had a good point but the way he said it just pissed me off. It’s like he doesn’t care who he insults.
“No, you have a choice to go to another job but for all of you who don’t know anything about Lurik it’s the best option you got.”
After a lot of arguing and talking most of us decided to become adventurers. The toughest guy took everyone who looked like they had promise and all that were left was me, Playboy, the girl from before, and two others.
“So there is only five of us are left huh. So how about it wanna make a battle party?” I wanted to know if they wanted to join up because we were all adventurers now.
“Well is there even another choice Yes, I’ll join your party be thankful I lend you my greatness.” Playboy seemed a little relieved to be with someone for a change.
“Wow thank you for your greatness my liege.” I sent a shape gaze to Playboy “So is that’s everyone opinion. We all in this?”
“Hey is that sarcasm.” He seemed to be more offended by the comment than me trying to kill him with my eyes.
“So what’s everyone’s name so we can at least know each other?”
“Stop ignoring me!!”
Well after a little bit of talking we all agreed to become a battle party. The two other people that were left was cool there was a humongous man, he looked at least 6ft 2′. And the other one looked tired to the point it made me sleepy.
“Ok, so I’m Saudo.”
“Well, the King of all Kings before you is the one and only Rogan.”
“Ok but I thought I saw you about to bow down when everyone else left without you.”
“Shut up!”
“Haha well, I’m Mikoto.”
The girl who had been previously watching me and Rogan bickering had joined the conversation and seemed to be having a good time.
“Well, who’s Sleepy and Skyscraper over there?”
“Ok so I’m Oliver, but just call me Oli and Napper over there is Mason.” Skyscraper introduced us to him and Mason.
After that, we asked the people at the counter to make us an official battle party. She told us that we must first get a Party Manager. After a little while in the back, the lady at the counter can back out and she brought another young woman.
She had nice light brown hair and what is that she has pointy ears. I think she’s an elf. She brought us to a room on the side to talk to us.
“Hello, my name is Akiko I’ll be your Battle Party Manager. First I’ll scale your abilities and then you can choose your battle class. After that, once you learn a bit more about Lurik and the Outskirts around it you’ll be an official battle party.”
Akiko looked over to a large bench on the side of the room.”Ok, so I’ll need a drop of your blood to scale your abilities.”
After taking a bit of blood from all of us we got our ability scores back.
