Living In Another World Is Gonna Be A Cinch - Chapter 6
“What is it, Saudo?” Mikoto asked, worried. “Is something wrong?”
“N-no, it’s nothing”
This was completely new to me. When I got it checked out by Akiko back at the guild this morning, nothing ever popped up for skills.
‘But, why is there a skill now? If anything, I can’t tell them about this skill. If I do, I don’t know if the word will spread about Give and Take. I had to lay low. ‘
“So, how’s everyone’s status.” I said to the party.
“Well if you have to know my status went up 12 points. Get on my level”
“Uh let me see mine went up by 15 points mostly in Attack.” Mason said.
“What Mason stop making me look bad. You were sleeping the entire time!” Rogan cut in.
“I was not that was not what I’m after.”
“10”
Mikoto shyly added to the conversation while tugging on my cloak.
“Huh?”
“Mine went up by 10 points. Ummm how much did yours go up by Saudo?”
“Hmm mine went up by 32 points.”
“Wait, what!?! 32 point!?! How did you go up that much in only one day?” Rogan seemed to only glare daggers at me when he said that.
“Uhhh, my luck I guess.”
‘I’ll tell them about my skill at a later time. Mostly because I don’t want Rogan and Mikoto to worry about me staying alive.’
After our conversation, we bought some some dried meat and hard bread and ate it.
So our adventure in Lurik began. Living with the fact that if I want to be strong as fast as possible I got to be constantly in life-threatening pain is gonna be a cinch.

The next day we went back to the Guild to talk to Akiko about what our first exploration went like.
We woke up in the inn we were staying at and brought the cheapest food they had to offer to save a few copper. After having breakfast at the inn we left towards the Guild.
The Guild was always open to accommodate the adventurers that fought at night. We entered the large building and we looked around the lobby for our battle party advisor.
“Hey I think I see her, she’s over near the receptionists area.” Oli said
True to what he said we could see Akiko talking to one of the receptionists. Looks like she also saw us and was motioning to come to her. We walked through the early morning crowd that was in the Guild and finally got to Akiko.
“Hugh. . . if there are only like 200 adventurers why are there so many people in the Guild.” Rogan complained
“We’ll Sir Rogan the answer to question is the Quest Board and the Accounting Department.”
Akiko pointed to the left side of the Guild and there was indeed a larger amount of people swarming around that area. The occasional adventurer came by and picked up a paper of a humongous bulletin board located in the back.
“Since you guys just got here yesterday you probably didn’t know about the Quest board. Since the human race doesn’t have much manpower we have been the victims of many staged attacks on the Outskirts and in small villages around here.” Akiko continued “When that happens the survivors gather what money they have left and come to the outpost’s Guild building to issue a quest for the scarce adventurer’s.”
“So we can make money from those quests on the Quest Board.”
“Yes Sir Rogan, the Guild holds the money until the quest is completed and you have to also to check in with your battle advisor before you take on a quest.”
“Can we take any quests yet. I mean is there anything that could we do at our level?”
“At the moment no. Most of the quests are for C ranked adventurers and higher due to the fact that most quests are kill quests for larger monsters.”
“No let’s look at how you’ve grown.”
***
“Most Summoned adventurers that we have studied from the past for summon groups each had a rate of growth that they had relative to the pace of the normal person. The rate helps judge how fast and strong a person is gonna grow. we track this growth by constantly asking what a person does on a expedition such as monsters you killed or what injuries you sustain because that’s what affect your stats.”

Give and Take: When your life is in danger your stats will grow faster. The more danger you are in the more growth will occur.[have fun]
Magic:
I told her everything except for my new skill. I don’t know what the average stats of a human are but what Akiko said is that for a Summoned adventurer I have some pretty low stats except for Luck.
“Everyone seems to be growing at about the rate of 6% higher than an average human. But. . . Sir Saudo on the other hand is growing at a rate 14% higher than an average human, tell what happened on that expedition.”
