Living Together - CH 36
Wen Jin’s teammates came over this time to talk him into competing in Shanghai over the weekend.
“Coach intends for all of us to go just for fun. Everyone has retired anyway.”
Wen Jin bowed his head and finished his lettuce-less sandwich before drinking a cup of coffee and declaring, “I’m not going.”
They all stood up and attempted to persuade him.
“Ah Jin, we haven’t played as a team for a long time. All of the bros are itching to play again.”
“Yeah, come with us. Your fans are looking forward to seeing you back on the field!”
“Coach actually wants to see you the most. After all, you are the most famous one among us.”
“To put it bluntly, he wants us to go because he wants your fans to give his name a boost.”
“It’s been almost a year. Don’t you want to play with us again?”
“No, I don’t,” Wen Jin stated flatly.
Everyone: “……”
Dorayaki came up to him. “Ah Jin, Jiang Wan has never seen you play a game. Don’t you want her to see?”
Wen Jin glanced at Jiang Wan, who was busy in the kitchen, and turned to face Dorayaki. “Send the flight information to my phone.”
Dorayaki stood up and high-fived the others, “Yahoo!!”
Wen Jin went to the bathroom to wash his hands, then returned to his room.
As soon as the door was shut, the others stood and cheered in the living room, and then, they all turned towards Jiang Wan, who was still in the kitchen.
Jiang Wan: “……”
“Thank you jiejie!”
“Jiejie, I’ll buy you a drink the next time we meet! Ah no, I’ll treat you to a lavish meal!”
“Jiejie! For your great kindness, I can’t repay you in this lifetime, but I’ll slave my life away for you in the next!”
Jiang Wan: “???”
They waved goodbye at her and excitedly left.
Jiang Wan chuckled and went to the front door to put away the slippers, then into the bathroom to throw the clothes into the washing machine and took the mop out to clean the floor.
She worked until ten o’clock cleaning the house before dragging her sweaty body to the shower.
After showering, she went to the washing machine to hang the clothes and wash the dirty clothes she wore just now. Then, she went to the kitchen to wash the rice, steamed it in the pressure cooker, and returned to her room.
She wanted to look up the cause of vomiting after eating vegetables on the internet.
Many factors were listed down on the website, including physical and psychological factors, and psychologists were available for online consultation.
Jiang Wan was about to consult with a psychologist when there was a knock on the door. She was so shocked that she quickly shut down and closed the laptop, the force so strong that she startled herself.
“What are you looking at?” Wen Jin asked as he opened the door.
“No-nothing.” Jiang Wan nervously waved her hands.
Wen Jin stared at her expression for a moment, walked in, and asked, “Are you watching porn?”
“……” Jiang Wan blushed and refuted, “No, I’m not!”
“Next time,” Wen Jin said in a low voice, “you can ask me to watch it with you.”
“……” Jiang Wan wanted to cry. “I really didn’t watch it!”
She pressed the power button, wanting to open the page to show him that she was really just looking up the reason why one couldn’t eat vegetables, only to find that the screen remained black.
She was unable to turn on the laptop.
“……”
Wen Jin looked at her and said, “Next time, watch it on my computer.”
“I really didn’t watch that!” Jiang Wan was ashamed that she wanted to die. “The laptop died because I shut it down too hard. Not……not because I was watching that!”
“Oh.”
“……it’s really not!” Jiang Wan’s face turned red.
Wen Jin walked over to check her laptop. “Don’t be upset. I’ll fix it for you so you can continue watching.”
