Living With An Immortal Dragon Soul - Chapter 6 Water Snakes And A Blessing
I walked towards the water when I deemed it to be safe enough. The snakes that could swim accompanied me while those which couldn’t were ordered to fetch me something to eat.
There were about 50 of them left and I thought they should be able to hunt a lot of small animals. I was very hungry and thought that there would probably be many edible creatures around a lake but when I jumped into to deep blue water I was dumbfounded because there were fish, lots and lots of fish. My shock was even felt by drake
‘What is it?’
“Fish… so many”
‘Yeah?… so?
“How can there be a lake this clean?!?” I screamed internally with my mouth wide open. Luckily my lungs were modified by drake reptilion prime to function for a while under water or else I might have died for good. My surprise about this not polluted lake diminished when drake seemed to understand.
‘We are no longer on this polluted planet’
“What do you mean” ‘When I died the last time dad decided that this planet won’t be suitable for me as an infant. It is dying. Therefore he sent us to a flourishing healthy world’
I was close to starting to cry but not out of sadness. I disliked everyone and everything aside from nature on my old planet therefore this was a dream come true. I ordered all the snakes around me to fetch me plants so I could learn more about my surroundings when I finished eating later on. I wanted to say that this world is paradise but right when I had this thought I reached a scary truth. When snakes and these little fish survived so would bigger creatures. When this thought was formulated Drake suddenly moved our body and I felt something like leather barely touch me.
I read about animals that feel like these back in my old world. I was rarely wrong but I hoped I would not be right this time. I turned around. “F***” I wanted to exclaim. It was a shark, bigger than even those of the old horror movies. It turned around and locked onto me once more. Since Drake could evade it the first time I told him “we have just arrived in this world. You don’t want to leave it either, do you?”
Drake was a part of my body and although he was not visible I sensed him shivering but my words calmed him a little and he managed to evade the shark and we even punched him in the side. When our fist collided with the sharks body it felt terrible but the shark was even more injured.
‘It actually retreats’ drake was very happy and I was speechless. This power was incredible.
I just hatched and after less than an hour this body could rival the artificially improved soldiers of my old world.
I wanted to celebrate and thought the blessing by Prime (drake reptilion prime will be referred to as this from now on) was the best thing that happened to me ever.
Drake was happy as well because he usually died in these kind of situations.
After we calmed down we decided to swim back to the shore but suddenly the two of us felt danger approaching. We turned around and almost coughed blood. The shark returned and he brought seven more sharks with him. They swam towards us and… they didn’t stop when they reached our position.
I was confused and Drake didn’t seem to understand either. ‘You felt this killing intent approaching as well, didn’t you?’ Indeed. I did.
What the hell was this feeling? Even if my instincts were bad after living a secured life Drake was after all a creature that relied on its instinct to survive as he had shown me when we met the first shark.
When I thought about this drake seemed to notice something. ‘Blood’ “what?” ‘I smell blood. Quantities that are way beyond any creature we should fight’. I gulped and then I saw what was approaching us. It was shark but this one could swallow us in one bite.
But what happened after I saw this colossal shark figuratively froze my blood.
