Lost Legacies - Chapter 5: Chapter 5: "Shadows"

After entering the forest Hugh was concentrating all around him he noticed his senses where very developed the most developed were his smell and hearing he could hear even and insect 300 m away from him like its was right next to him and smell any kinds of smells even poison he could discern what was bad and what was good

“God damn i didn’t even need to read those books my sense of smell could’ve helped me instead”

Said Hugh regretfully,after he walked more he found some plants and some other things like insects and animals.

“Well i think this day is gonna go in the right direction hehe”

Said Hugh happily until he felt an aura of destruction and chaos coming from above, Hugh wanted to run away but he couldn’t he was frozen in place like an ice sculpture he was scared for his life.

“Uhhhhh !!!!!”

He was trying hard to move even 1 mm from his position but it seems his willpower was still pretty low, so he waited for his demise after 2 minutes of staying still he felt the aura go away its seems the thing that was looking onto him saw only and ant and left

“GASP!!!!”

Hugh fell down on his knees and started panting.

He never felt death this close not even when woke up did he get that feeling.

“its seems some monsters are out of this realm, i never want to feel this feeling ever again, i want to be STRONGER !! ”

Said Hugh while clenching his hands tightly and looking above him with an ambitious look.

After that incident Hugh took things seriously and with the money he will make from plant searching he wants to learn spearmanship from a coach or a master, after deciding what hes gonna do with his money mostly hes continuing to go deeper in the forest while carrying his spear in his hands.

While he going deeper he hear a sounds of steps but not human its was entirely different he knew this was his first monster to deal with so he was very cautious and waited for the monster to come to where he was and wait till the monster attacks him.

Hugh was very tense in that moment he was thinking of many things and strategies to take down the monster when the monster came to sight he was surprised it was a wolf 2 meters high with blood coming out of his abdomen.

(This will be easy)

Thought Hugh while clenching the spear harder, he was still scared of the wolf though so he wanted to maintain his calm because if he didn’t pay attention for even a second he knew he will die.

“Come on you bastard, do you want to take my life huh !!”

Said Hugh and rushed to the wolf he got a little bit of confidence after seeing the state of the wolf

he tried stabbing his spear at the wolfs abdomen but the wolf dodged him hardly.

(its hard using the spear if it higher than yourself.)

Thought Hugh while trying to hit the wolf with a slash attack vertically from above.

The wolf used that little time between the attacks to get closer to Hugh and its succeeded Hugh began to panic.

Hugh wanted to jump backwards but he stumbled on his other leg and fell down on his back.

The wolf used that chance to get onto Hugh to try to kill him.

When the wolf almost caught his neck with his fangs all of a sudden the tattoo with the door shined and chains came out of the tattoo and caught the wolf unexpected,the wolf was caught by surprise and he was already exhausted by fighting other monsters in his territory.

The wolf struggled for almost 15 minutes, it can be said that the wolf was the Southern territory’s king after an unexpected being came all the kings joined hands to protect the forest but they started fighting each other and all of the kings got seriously injured.

after the chains sucked up the Giant Wolf something more unexpected happened.

After the sudden appearance of word in front of his eyes he didn’t know what to do with so many words in front of him.

When he wanted to read anything at all he noticed he was in another environment he decided to read it later and what he saw in front of his was his tattoo to be more specific a Door with Chains locking it down.

“Hello Hugh.”

Hugh heard someone greeting him.

“Who are you, and how do you know my name !!?”

Asked Hugh in confusion.

“Let’s just say i’m an acquaintance hehe, look behind you.”

Said the voice happily.

When Hugh looked behind he saw 2 shadows.

“Okay shut up he doesn’t need to know who you are, everything comes with time”

Hugh heard a coarse voice scold the one who greeted him, he smiled wryly.

“I know that much”

Said the shadow embarrassed and looking sideways.

“Then how should i call you guys ?”

Asked Hugh

“Call me Herindal Augustus or just August”

Said the old shadow, or August withpride.

“Just call me Shadow you still don’t need to know my name”

Said Shadow.

“Well nice to meet you August, Shadow but can you tell me how i got here ?”

“Ohh that’s easy the hidden requirement for the legacie has been unlocked so you can enter the doors realm”

Said Shadow

“W-What…. wait so this is MY dimension ?”

“Basically”

“I see, and what can i do in this place ? and firstly how do i exit this place ?”

Asked Hugh worriedly, he didn’t want to stay in this realm forever.

“your not even interested at who AM I !!”

Said August angrily.

“To be hones i was curious, but i,m more curios at how to get out of here could you please tell me.”

“Okay you just gotta open the Legacie and say exit realm or think that, its that easy.”

“And How do i open the Legacie ?”

“Uhhhh just think Legacie open, but this is the last time i’m gonna help you with this thing later on you gotta explore the Legacie yourself”

Said the old man grumpily.

“Okay sorry T_T”

Said Hugh tiredly.

“Humph, its good that you understand.”
