Love Advice From A Childhood Friend - CH 2.4
The Begging Of My Daily Life (Part 4)
“It’s nice, isn’t it, your seat?” As soon as it was lunch break, Sugiuchi came to my seat with his lunch in his hand.
“It’s everyday now.”
“In the last row of seats, sitting on the bench is one of the beautiful girls in the school, Shiori.”
“Hmm hmm” Sugiuchi shook his head when he shook the topic to Hinagata.
“I’m not a b-beautiful girl……”
“Sugichi, Hinagata is in trouble.”
When the girl sitting across from Hinagata, Uchino kura-san, said so, Sugiuchi apologized honestly, “Oh sorry.”
Uchino kura-san and Hinagata are in the same club and are good friends. I often see them going to school together in the morning.
“That’s not true.”
When Hinagta followed Sugiuchi, I felt the line of sight from the side.
There was a little pressure to say something
Is that because of that?
…On the verge of entering the lunch break.
“Can we have lunch together……”
“Yes, it’s fine.”
“Yes yes” Expression of Hinagata suddenly brightened, and she nodded happily many times.
Then, I accepted Sugiuchi who came, and then Uchino kura-san came and had a lunch party of four people.
Apparently, being with me meant being alone.
I think I had someone to talk to again.
If there were two outsiders, I couldn’t talk about what I could do.
It’s not my place to say, but I thought Hinagata didn’t have a lot of friends either.
I thought Hinagata’s relationship with Uchino kura-san was similar to my relationship with Sugiuchi.
… Tch, girls. I thought their relationship was good as long as they’re gossiping one or two things about love interests, but knowing Hinagata, I can’t really say it.
It will be a sense of security and trust that comes from the length of the relationship.
I don’t think I’ve been able to give accurate advice.
“Hinaga-san, can you tell me an embarrassing story about this guy?”
“Sugiuchi, what are you going to do with that?”
“It’s for your weakness, of course!”
“You already decided on that? Didn’t expect you to be this evil.”
I took one of the fried chicken from Sugiuchi’s lunch box.
“Hey, what are you doing, taking that?!”
The two girls next to me started giggling at that.
“I’ve got an embarrassing story to tell about Ryu…. Tonomura-Kun.”
“Don’t say anything funny, okay? To such a mischievous little villain.”
‘Fufufu~’, Hinagata laughs quietly.
It was a ladylike smile, as if she had always acted properly.
After that, we had a casual chat. What will the committee do, what will the next physical education do? That sort of thing.
“Tonomura, come with me on the way home…..”
“Tonomura-Kun, we will go home together….”
Just as the conversation ended, Hinagata and Sugiuchi both spoke and stopped at the same time.
“Hmm? What’s with you two?”
When Uchino kura-san saw that Sugiuchi and Hinagata were speaking at the same time, she said so.
“Sugicchi, I have some work, so I’ll stay after school for a bit.”
“What? Uh , why ucchi~?”
“Don’t worry.”
What are you talking about?
As I was thinking this, Hinagata was holding her mouth with her hand and her eyes were shining.
She put down her chopsticks, clenched her fist and shook it many times.
“Oh, my God. I can’t believe this is happening… Ucchi is going to confess…! What should I do?!”
Sugiuchi was holding his head with his hands. I don’t know what he’s talking about, but I’m pretty sure it’s different.
“I’m getting more nervous than you…! Kura-chan, fight…!”
Hinagata. I think your prediction is probably wrong too.
Or rather, why are you calling out to Kura-chan?
“See you after school, Sugiuchi.”
“Oh, yeah. Well, I guess SEE YA. Just for a little while.”
This ‘I’m a popular guy’ look is annoying.
“By the way, what was your errand, it’s a misunderstanding, man.”
“Ehh? Me?”
It’s not just you.
Anyway, it didn’t matter.
“I’m going to the convenience store or the book store to buy manga or something.”
Wow, it really doesn’t matter. Go alone.
It doesn’t seem to be a s**y story, that’s for sure. If that’s the case, I wonder what Uchino kura-san has to say to Sugiuchi.
“I’m so nervous…”
Next to me, Hinagata was nervous.
Well, I guess I can ask Sugiuchi about it tomorrow.
In the afternoon homeroom, the committee I was going to join was decided, the Beautification Committee.
I was on the committee last year, and it’s really easy.
I’m on duty about once a month, and all I have to do is water the flower beds.
You can leave the detail caring to the janitors.
You don’t have to join, but if you don’t, you’ll be forced to take on a troublesome role, so if you know it’s easy, you should join willingly.
There was one man and one woman on each committee.
Three tenths of a second after I ran for the Beautification Committee, Hinagata raised her hand and we were on the same committee.
Homeroom was over, and after school, as I was getting ready to leave the classroom, which was beginning to be deserted, Hinagata was breathing hard.
“Let’s work hard, Ryunosuke.”
“I don’t really have much activity to work hard for.”
“Really? But I’m surprised. You like flowers?”
I didn’t mean it like that, but whatever.
“I think boys like that are great.”
Is that so?
I was a little uncomfortable at first because I didn’t really have an image of a guy doing that.
As we were talking, Sugiuchi and Uchino kura-san left the classroom together.
“I wonder what they were talking about?”
I was tapped on the shoulder by Hinagata.
“No nonsense.”
I told you so. Maybe.
From what I’ve heard, the girls’ basketball club is closed today.
“Did Hinagata have something to do with me? You were about to say something…”
With an ever-increasing whisper, she said softly.
“I…want to go home…. together with… Ryunosuke….”
After that, even if I waited for her words, silence continued.
“… is that an errand?”
When I asked her back, Hinagata shook her head many times.
What is that?
“Then let’s go home. Together.”
Hinagata smiled and gave a small nod, seemingly without thinking.
“…My pleasure.”
Why the polite speech?
After finishing our preparations, we left the school.
There didn’t seem to be anything special that we wanted to talk about, so we mainly talked about school. We talked about classes, club activities, friends, and so on.
“Oh, yeah! I didn’t check something important!”
I realized that I had made a serious oversight in the matter of relationship counseling.
“Important?”
“Oh, The one you like… does he have a girlfriend?”
“No.”
She answered clearly. If anything, she answered the moment I asked her.
Oh, I see. I guess you’ve already researched that part.
“But doesn’t he have anyone he likes?”
“What!?”
She reacted as if she was shocked.
“Unlike a girlfriend, you don’t know if you like someone unless you tell them publicly, right? You might tell some of your closest friends about it, though.”
“Yeah, I don’t know…”
Don’t look so sad.
“If he likes Hinagata, then it’s a congratulation, but in many cases it’s not.”
*GULP* Hinagata gulped and stared at me intently.
“Is there someone you like…. Ryunosuke?”
“Me? I don’t have one. I’m not sure what the point is in asking me.”
‘Phew,’ Hinagata’s expression suddenly relaxed.
“Practice asking.”
I’m not very good at it. Should I practice on you since you’re easy to talk to?
I see. Simulation is very important.
“Hinagata has a crush on someone, right?”
“Yes. I have a crush.”
She replied happily.
I’m curious about what kind of guy he is, and I hope it’s not a weird one.
A maiden in love naturally looks cute and adorable, doesn’t she?
Since she has been showing this kind of expression lately, even the familiar Hinagata looks a little fresh.
“Ryunosuke doesn’t have one?”
“Ahh, yeah. That’s how it is.”
“You don’t have one.”
“What’s with saying it again?”
“He doesn’t have one. Hmmm~~~?”
It was Hinagata’s bouncy footsteps and cheerful voice that made me feel like a flower was about to bloom.
