Love Is A Sweet Poison - Chapter 100
“Probably but that will all be blown away when we show up to school together on Monday. Do not worry about it. The one that spreads rumours about my fiance will suffer the consequences.” Gabriel pulled her back down and kissed her again. He let her go this time.
Amelia kissed him back and then got up. She looked down at him with love in her eyes. She waved at the others. “We should head back. It might rain soon.” Amelia looked up at the sky and the clouds were slowly coming in.
The children were jumping and waving as Gabriel got up and he waved back at them. “Okay if you feel that it might happen then I will go ahead and get you down the trail.” He scooped her up in his arms. “Let’s go.”
Amelia giggled and held onto his neck. As they approached the children she could see them smiling. “Okay, it is time to head back. Did you get all the flowers you needed?”
“I have checked the supply a few times. I do believe that we have enough!” Itsuki smiled up at the two proudly.
“I think that we got enough! There are a lot of flowers.” Mayumi smiled happily.
“Okay, I have the bundle in my arms. Itsuki and Mayumi. You two will walk on the right side and Hold hands please.” Miyuki picked up the bundle of flowers. She felt Mayumi hold onto her yukata. “We’re ready, Gabriel.”
Gabriel started to lead the group down the hill and he kept glancing at Amelia in his arms. “How are you doing?”
“I am doing well, I am more worried about you. I can not be light to carry.” Amelia blushed but the beautiful dark brown eyes that were staring down at her told her that it was nothing.
Chuckling Gabriel kissed her cheek, “You are as light as a feather. I do not mind. You do not need to worry about your weight. I have carried you before in the past. I did not find it difficult as a matter of fact it almost feels like you lost weight. That is more concerning then me carrying you down the hill.” His eyes locked her’s
and he stared into her light brown eyes. It was uncommon to have such light eyes but they suited her perfectly.
Amelia’s expression softened, “If you say so then I will try to eat a little more. Miyuki will not be able to eat with us will she?”
“Not this time. The tea ceremony room is big enough but the servants will be there to serve tea. I know that you do not like it but if you can’t eat everything you can always feed it to me. I will eat it.” They reached the bottom of the hill and Edna was standing there looking at them.
“Did something happen again? Amelia sweetie are you unwell. If you are not up to it you can always stay in your room for dinner.” Edna starts firing all the words at once.
“Mother, Amelia is fine. I didn’t want her to push herself going down the hill so I decided to carry her down.” Gabriel Sets her feet on the ground and watches.
Amelia holds Edna’s hands, “Mother Edna, I am well. Thank you for your concern. I would like to be there for dinner. It seems that Mayumi has taken a s.h.i.+ne to Sara. Could you send her to my room? Also, if you could send a servant to my bedroom when it is dinner time. I know that you are quite busy with your plans for your son’s return.”
“You are such an angel. That crown is lovely, Gabriel you did a fantastic job. I will get back to the finis.h.i.+ng touches and I will send Sara to your room.” Edna patted Amelia’s hands and then waved at the children before she left.
Everyone left out a sigh and they walked to Amelia’s room. Amelia sat down and took off her shoes and placed her slippers on then walked into her room. She heard a knock at the door. “Come in please.”
Sara bowed into the room before coming in and closing the door. “You called for me, Missus?”
Mayumi, who changed her shoes, raced into the room at the sound of her voice. “SARA!” She tackled her and held out the crown. A gift for Sara.”
Sara looked speechless and saw that it was a crown of clovers. “My, oh my. What a wonderful gift.” She lowered her head so that Mayumi could place the crown on her head.
“Thank you for coming Sara. Mayumi likes you so I thought that you might be able to help us.” Amelia turned to Miyuki. “Miyuki, could I trouble you to acquire some ribbon for the embroidery room and the threads?”
“Yes, of course. I will go and get them now. Do you want me to bring a few different colours of fabric as well?” Miyuki asks and watches Amelia nod. “Okay, I will be back as soon as possible.”
Gabriel walked up behind her and gave her a hug. “What are you planning, my love?”
“You shall see.” Amelia looked at the bundle of flowers on the table. “Okay, you three are in charge of separating the flowers into the bouquets you are going to give to your loved ones. Gabriel and I will be working with the flowers we have.”
Gabriel went to the door and picked up their bundle of flowers. And brought them to her. He picked up the vase in her room and went to the door, “can you fill this with water, please?” He watched as the servant took the vase with a bow and went to fill it up.
Amelia sorted her flowers into five piles. One for her room, one for the s.h.i.+ne, one for her parents, one Gabriel’s parents, and the last set was for Suzuka. She took out one blue lily and set it aside from all the others. The knock on the door was answered by Gabriel.
