Gabriel woke up at the voices and rolled over. He sat up and came to the table and hugged Amelia from behind. “Make sure to take your medicines.”

“I’m sorry did we wake you?” Miyuki bows then goes to the door and brings a tray over. She placed it next to Amelia’s. I brought you a snack as well. Just in case you woke up.”

“Do not worry about waking me up. At this point as long as Amelia is with you I really do not care if I am woken up.” Gabriel was still hugging her. He moved finally and sat next to her and looked at what was on the tray. “I will need to thank Kuma. He does a really good job judging what someone would want. Itadakimasu.”

Miyuki poured a different tea for Gabriel. Then sat back down and smiled. “I will let him know in the morning. He said that he would be going to sleep.”

Amelia handing the egg rolls over to Miyuki. “Here you go. I know that you have been looking forward to them. I really love how much you take care of me. Job or not, I love how you help me out.”

“Thank you, I will continue to work my and try my best for you, Amelia. Itadakimasu.” Miyuki pulled out a pair of chopsticks and started to eat the egg rolls happily.

Gabriel chuckles and watches as Miyuki eats the egg rolls. He picks up the stick and cuts into the yokan. He cuts it into smaller pieces and eats a little. He hotels out a piece for Amelia.

Amelia takes the offered yokan and blouses as she eats it. “That is quite nice. I did not know that he would go and make more.”

“This is a specialty in the house. I ask for it enough that Kuma learned how to make it. I heard that you made wagashi. That is something that I would like to try.” Gabriel smiled and continues to eat the yokan.

“I assisted but I was not able to touch the beans as they cooked so I merely observed and Miyuki mixed in the colours for me. All I really did was shape the sweets. I offered them up at the shine as a thank you for the fruit.” She looks away and eats her mochi ice cream.

Miyuki refills the tea and giggles. “After you dismiss me I will take the dishes away and retire for the night. Gochisosama.” She sits there waiting.

“You can leave and grab the dishes in the morning. Please go and rest. You have been taking care of Amelia while I was away and you look tired.” Gabriel says this and looks at Amelia.

“I will be okay. Please, go and rest. Gabriel will be with me. He is my bethrothed and will not let anything happen to me.? Amelia reached her hand out across the table while smiling. “Go ahead.”

“Okay, I will retire for the evening and will come and collect the dishes when I wake up.” Miyuki bows and leaves the room.

Gabriel pulled her into his lap and started to feed her the mochi ice cream. He watches as she blushes deeply. “This is much better than you feeding yourself. I get to do it.”

Amelia who was now sitting on Gabriel’s lap started blushing. “I am so embarrassed. It has been such a long time that I sat in someone’s lap. Is this something that you want to do often?” She eats the ice cream, her face blazing red.

“Only if it is just us in the room. I will not subject you to this if we are not alone. I just cannot help but want to hold you close.” Gabriel fed her another piece.

Amelia picked up the yokan stick and stabbed a small piece and offered it to him. ‘Two can play at this game.’ She continues to feed him until they are both done. “Gochisosama. That was really nice.” She picks up her medicine and starts to take them.

Gabriel was surprised by her actions but let her feed him the dessert. After she took her meds. Gabriel sat her down behind the divider. “I will go get changed into my night yukata. I will not leave your side tonight.” He went to the door and went to his room and changed and sneaks back to Amelia.

Amelia changed and climbed into the bed beside the door and she waited for his return. ‘I was not expecting him to want to sleep in my room but we are young.’ Her face goes red again and her heart was racing.

Gabriel on the way back ran into Clarence. “How is she doing? I took the samples that I needed.”

“She is tired and a little embarrassed but I will stay with her overnight. I am the best for the job as I will wake up at the smallest odd sensation. She will recover from this attack.” Gabriel looked at Clarence, “I would offer you to come to check her out but she is pretty tired and might be asleep by the time I get back.”

“I will check up on her first thing in the morning then. Gabriel makes sure that you take good care of her. She is still a patient. So do not push her too hard.” Clarence shakes his head and walks away.

Knowing that his father was not going to show up in the bedroom Gabriel sighed in relief. He walked back into the room and blew out the candle then walked to the second bedding and moved it closer to her. He sat down and looked at Amelia and kissed her cheek.
