Love Is So Sweet - Chapter 17
Jun was escorting Lisa back to her apartment. Since he’s been to the building once it wasn’t that hard to get there. The only problem was because of her lack of sleep, Lisa was walking a little wobbly. Jun tried his best to help her without touching her too much.
It was a bit of an arduous journey but they were able to safely reach the building to Lisa’s apartment. “Can you get there by yourself?” Jun asked as he looked at Lisa whose eyelids were closing. She didn’t even respond as she walked like a drunk person.
‘Tsk, this girl really is pretty high maintenance.’ Jun spoke internally as he followed Lisa inside the building.
…
Lisa lived on the third floor of the building, and when she and Jun reached her front door, Lisa’s neighbor spotted her with Jun. This neighbor of Lisa’s was a twenty-two-year-old fresh grad that was trying to be a bit more independent, her name was Jennifer. She has never talked to Lisa properly before since Lisa had this aura that made it hard to approach her. Also every time Jennifer tried to start a conversation with Lisa, she would only answer with something that would quickly end the conversation.
“Is she alright?” Jennifer asked out of concern for her neighbor.
“Yeah, she’s just a bit sleepy,” Jun answered with a smile as Lisa was trying to find the key to her apartment.
“I see… So who are you?” Jeniffer asked half because she was worried that Jun was trying to do something to the sleepy Lisa, and half because Jun was hot.
“I’m a friend of Lisa’s from work.”
“Oh really? I’m Jennifer by the way, her neighbor.” Jennifer was smiling cutely while she said this trying to appeal to Jun as she extended her hand to Jun.
“Jun, nice to meet you.” Jun politely shook Jeniffer’s hand.
“Nice to meet you Jun, so you and Lisa, are really just office friends?” As Jun was about to answer Jennifer’s question Lisa was finally able to open the door and stumbled her way in.
“Oh, I gotta go, it was nice talking to you.” Jun quickly followed Lisa inside her apartment and closed the door as he supported the stumbling Lisa.
Jennifer who was left outside looked at the closed door. ‘Tsk, I wasn’t able to get his number, well I guess I’ll just do that next time. Who knew that the quiet neighbor of mine was actually able to attract a guy like that. Good for her.’ Jeniffer was thinking this as she left the building.
…
Jun helped the wobbly stumbling Lisa move towards her bed. The moment she reached her bed she immediately snuggled in and slept. When Jun saw Lisa’s actions he sighed, ‘this girl is too defenseless.’ It was a good thing that he decided to follow her if left alone some random guy might’ve tried to do something.
After Jun saw Lisa sleeping comfortably, he was about to leave, but in the end, he decided that he wanted to check out Lisa’s place first. The first room he looked at was, of course, the room he was already in. Lisa’s room was rather simple, it had a bed and a closet. There was nothing more.
Jun then moved onto the living room and heard something hiss at him. He looked behind and saw a cat looking at him. ‘So she’s a cat person…’ In the living room, there was one coach a T.V and a gaming console.
‘She’s into games, let’s see what she has.’ Jun started to look at Lisa’s library of games. It was mostly RPG’s and some Bishōjo and Otome games. After he was done checking the library Jun continued to look around the living room.
Jun noticed something weird in every picture Lisa has in the living room. It would seem that she was always beside an old man and old woman supposedly her grandparents. Yet there was no picture of her alone, or when she was younger, in fact, there was also no picture of her parents.
Jun who started to think about it shook his head. ‘There’s no use thinking about it since I won’t get an answer anyway.’ Jun then continued to look around the apartment. Aside from Lisa’s room, there was another room, and that room was filled with books and had a desk with her ŀȧptop on it. This must be her workroom, the place that gave birth to her mystery novels, and the novel she is currently writing.
…
After looking at some of the things in Lisa’s apartment there was only one other place Jun wanted to see and it was Lisa’s kitchen. Jun was amazed to see Lisa’s kitchen as it looked like a professional chef’s kitchen. He knew that Lisa liked cooking but he didn’t know it was to this extent.
‘I’m really curious to know what’s her deal with food.’
…
After he saw what he wanted to see, Jun decided that now was the right time to leave. He once again checked on Lisa and seeing her sleeping face made Jun smile. He then left the apartment feeling both guilty and happy. Guilty that he snooped around the apartment while Lisa was sleeping, but happy that he was able to learn a bit more about the girl he was kind of interested in.
