Love Is So Sweet - Chapter 24
After logging out of her game and finishing up writing her new character in, Lisa was cleaning Mia’s litter box. Once she was done with most of the things she set out to do for the day, she laid down on the floor.
Even though she was trying her hardest to forget the incident this morning, she couldn’t help but think about it. That girl she met this morning was stunning in many ways.
Lisa then picked up her phone and typed Edrea’s name. A lot of things popped out, and in each article had a very stylish picture of Edrea, Lisa clicked on one of them.
Edrea Hunt daughter of the upraising businessman Warren Hunt. She was actually a graduate of a very prestigious university and is currently working as a model. There were many things written about her, but that wasn’t what Lisa wanted to know. She scanned each interview and report about Edrea, but none of those mentioned her having a fiance. In fact, there were no mentions of Jun in any article not even as her childhood friends. There was a mention of her dog Bark, and some mention of university buddies, but no mention of Jun at all, not even the paparazzi seem to have a picture of them together.
This got Lisa curious, as this felt like she was inside one of her mystery novels. Lisa then started to type in Jun’s name and no results about him were found. Nothing about Jun could be found online, she then tried to look at his family name Tang. There were numerous people with the same surname and had the same given name of Jun, yet not one of them was the Jun she knew.
Lisa tried looking through different search engines, searching for any trace of Jun on the internet. Yet there was any, that wasn’t possible in this day and age. Everyone has a digital footprint, even those people who don’t know a thing about the internet have left a digital footprint, then why doesn’t Jun have a single one?
It was at this moment Lisa came to a conclusion, someone was removing Jun’s existence. When she thought of this Lisa smiled and giggled at how stupid the thought was. Yet deep inside she was thinking that it was entirely possible.
‘Wait, Jun’s family is supposedly rich and relatively famous, so maybe they’re trying to hide Jun from the public eye.’
After thinking about that Lisa started forming other theories about Jun and it felt a bit exciting. It made her want to write about it, she really wanted to write a mystery novel about this. Unfortunately, she couldn’t do so at this moment since she was trying to write a romance novel.
As she was slowly sinking into disappointment, she got an idea. ‘What am I doing, of course, I can write this, I just need to keep the novel’s main genre as romance, and add an element of mystery in it. As long as I don’t focus too heavily on the mystery aspect and add a bit in, this can work. Why didn’t I think of this before?…’ The reason for her unable to think of something so simple was because of the stress she was having in writing her new novel using a genre she wasn’t really good at.
Once she was done writing she looked at the time and noticed that it was already five in the afternoon. Time flew by rather quickly as she wrote. She then stood up and started preparing her dinner. While she was preparing dinner, her phone suddenly rang as she received a message.
“Sorry about this morning, I hope you’re alright. Don’t worry I made sure that she would no longer bother you.”
“It’s alright, I’m going to send you the new version of the first few chapters of my new novel love is so sweet. Can you tell me your email add?” After Lisa sent Jun this message, Jun replied almost instantly with his email add.
…
Lisa sent Jun the new version of love is so sweet and was about to go back to cooking her meal, but then she had a thought, maybe she could use Jun’s email add to gain more information about him. Lisa quickly searched multiple social media apps but even knowing Jun’s email add found nothing new.
Lisa felt a bit disappointed but was also expecting this to happen. So she stopped searching and went back to cooking.
‘I wonder who Jun truly is… I do think that he’s my friend but I know almost nothing about him. Well, the same could be said for him with me. Now that I think about it, I don’t know much about Karla either, except that she has kids. I don’t even know who her husband is… Wait a minute, are we really friends?…”
While Lisa was contemplating if her friends were truly her friends, she was done making her meal and was about to eat but then she heard someone knocking on her door.
