Love Is So Sweet - Chapter 29
Jun who was in a good mood moments ago was now frowning as he spoke on his phone. “What do you want, father.”
“Heh, still so rebellious, is that any way to talk to your father?”
“…”
“Really you’re not going to answer? Well, we’ll talk about that another time, since I don’t have time. I’ll get to the point, I called because I heard from Warren that you tossed his daughter outside of your hotel. Now, why did you do that?”
“Hmph, she was harassing my friend. I already told her that we were through, but she keeps on bothering me, and now she’s even messing with my friends.”
“Oh really, that’s the first time I heard you two were through. I don’t remember ever agreeing to that.”
“I don’t need your permission to break up with anyone. In the first place, I never agreed to become her fiance. You as per usual decided everything by yourself.”
“Why are you so adamant about becoming her fiance? She’s gorgeous, she’s from a good family, she’s graduated from a good school, and more than that she loves you even more than me, your own father. What else do you want?”
“First of all, becoming someone’s fiance without my knowledge is wrong, okay. Second, it doesn’t really matter if she’s the most beautiful, most educated woman in the entire world I just don’t like her that way. I liked her before as a friend, but now because of all this forced marriage crap I learned what she’s really like, and I don’t like her anymore, not even as a friend. Finally, I know she loves me more than you, but to be fair even a random passerby loves me more than you, heck anyone you pick in the streets loves me more than you.”
“Why must you always be so difficult? I don’t have time for this I have a meeting, just apologize to the girl.” Jun’s father was sounding a bit impatient.
“Heh, oh, am I bothering you? Are you about to have an important meeting? Sorry for calling you, oh wait you’re the one who called me. You’re the one who was bothering me. So don’t make it sound like I wasted your time, you’re the one wasting mine. Also, I won’t apologize, heck she’s the one who should apologize to my friend.”
“Don’t push me Jun. You better apologize to Edrea, or else.”
“Or else what? Are you going to ground me? Are you going to lock me up in the basement? Are you going to hit me? Oh, I’m so scared, and nope I won’t apologize. What are you going to do about it? I’m not that scared little boy wanting to please his overly ambitious father. That ship has sailed long ago. You can no longer push me around, father.”
“I am your father! If I tell you to do something, you should do it no questions ask!” Jun’s father suddenly yelled.
“You seem to be forgetting, I might be your son, but that doesn’t mean you own my life. Also, I’m not one of your workers that you can just order around.”
“Jun, do you really want to do this? Are you really going to disobey my order?” Jun’s father’s tone suddenly went down an octave. It went from angry yelling to an ice-cold tone. Jun knew that this meant his father was really serious, but even then he didn’t back down.
“Of course I’m going to disobey your nonsensical order. I’m not in the wrong.” After saying that Jun’s father didn’t respond and simply ended the call.
After the call ended Jun couldn’t help but sigh.
…
Jun’s father, Tang Wu who was in his office suddenly threw his smartphone at the wall. “Who the f*ck does he think he is?!” The secretary outside his office was shocked by the sudden scream but didn’t do anything about it. She just sat on her seat and prayed that her boss won’t direct his anger on her.
After screaming a bit, Wu finally calmed down and made a call. The secretary was a bit scared to answer since she knew that this was a call from her angry boss, but she had no choice. She picked it up and was expecting to be yelled at.
“Cancel all my afternoon meetings. Also, call my driver, tell him I’ll be down in ten minutes.”
The secretary was pleasantly surprised that she wasn’t yelled at and immediately did as she was told.
‘It’s been some time since I last saw that punk. He’s certainly still acting like a rebellious teenager even though he’s already a grown as* man.’ While Wu was thinking of ways on how to control his son he walked out of his office and headed down. It was time to meet his prodigal son.
