Love Is So Sweet - Chapter 37
Edrea was waiting anxiously for Tang Wu’s reply about the situation with Jun. While waiting she and her father were sitting in their living room drinking tea, as her father was typing on his ŀȧptop. It was eerily quiet as the only thing you could hear was the tapping of the keyboard. It was at that moment Warren’s phone started to ring.
“Hello, Mr. Tang how was it?” Warren picked up the phone and directly went to straight to the point. Edrea looked at her father talking on the phone with an anxious expression.
“What do you mean, we need to wait?! Huh, that’s… Tsk, fine.” The conversation doesn’t seem to be going well, which made Edrea even more anxious.
“I understand… Here, sweetie, Mr. Tang wants to talk to you.” Warren then passed his phone to Edrea who nervously took it.
“Hello, Uncle is everything alright?”
“Edrea, I’ll just get to the point. I want you to stay away from Jun for the next two months.”
“Huh?… What do you mean Uncle?”
“I meant what I said, I don’t want you to go anywhere near Jun. In extension, I don’t want you to bother anyone else related to him, his office mates, his friends, and especially the girl he’s supposedly dating.”
“What? You’re kidding right Uncle… Hahaha, that’s a pretty bad joke coming from you. Jun having a girlfriend when he already has me. That’s a really bad joke, you should try telling something more realistic to be funny, Uncle.”
“I never joke, I don’t have time for this, just remember what I said, for the next two months don’t bother Jun and those close to him. If I ever find out you did something during these two months, then the relationship between our two families will end then and there. This conversation is over.”
Tang Wu didn’t bother to wait for Edrea to reply as he ended the call. Edrea stood there in a state of shock. Warren worried about his daughter approached her.
“Sweetie, it’s going to be alright. You just need to wait for two months. Don’t they say absence makes the heart grow fonder. So I’m sure not seeing you for two months will make Jun miss you.”
Edrea awoke from her daze state and passed the phone back to her father, and without saying anything she went to her room. Warren seeing all that decided to let his daughter be for the moment.
…
When Edrea reached her room and closed the door she started to scream. “What the hell! What the hell! How can he do that to me!” She then started kicking anything that was in her way.
“Who the hell is the b*tch who tricked my Jun!” It was then Edrea remembered the face of the girl he confronted a few days ago.
‘Jun was awfully protective of her, then… Could it be?…’
Edrea gritted her teeth in frustration, knowing how powerful Tang Wu’s was. If Edrea even so much as bullied Lisa online, Tang Wu would find out. Knowing this she couldn’t move against Lisa at the moment.
‘There must be a way! How can I allow my man to be taken just like that!’
…
While Edrea was feeling frustrated in her room, cursing Lisa. The person she was cursing was also tossing and turning in her bed. Lisa was unable to sleep as she kept on thinking about what happened today, and what will happen tomorrow.
‘Why can’t I calm down? It’s just watching a movie… I’ve done that numerous times. I just need to think of him as part of the background. Yeah, it’s just like when I go to the movie house alone, it’s just that one person I know will be sitting next to me. That’s no different from a stranger sitting next to me.’
‘Wait, what if he holds my hand again?!’ When Lisa thought of that question, she remembered what Jun said to her earlier today. ‘While we’re dating we need to do this on a regular basis.’
‘That’s what he said! It’s not a question of if he would hold my hand, he definitely will hold my hand!’ Lisa’s heart was beating even louder than normal as she thought of Jun’s firm hand. Thinking about the feel of Jun’s hand, she couldn’t help but squeeze her pillow in embarrassment.
‘Not only that, what should I wear tomorrow?! If I wear something he bought me, he might think I really am interested in him. But if I don’t wear the things he bought me, he might think I’m rude. What should I do?!’
Lisa kept on going like this until late that night.
