Love Is So Sweet - Chapter 41
While Jun and Lisa were having fun shouting at the edge of the mountainside, the one sent by Jun’s father to observe them was watching in the shadows taking some video evidence. Unknown to him someone else was doing the same thing and was taking a video of Jun and Lisa.
…
After the whole shouting at the mountainside event, the two-headed back to Jun’s motorcycle and went straight to their next destination. Lisa was still kinda out of it after the whole fake out Jun did and was quiet throughout the ride.
…
It took only a few minutes to reach the next destination of their date. It was a planetarium, after parking his motorcycle Jun and Lisa headed in. It was the first time Lisa has ever been in a planetarium, so she was looking curiously at every single thing. She was like the kids that entered W*lly W*nka’s chocolate factory.
The place had the solar system, projected, and it was also empty. Though there was another person inside, which was the person sent to observe them, Jun and Lisa decided not to acknowledge his existence.
“Where are the other people?”
“I rented the whole place for today.” Hearing what Jun said, once again reconfirmed just how rich he was.
“Okay then… Why bring me here?” Lisa asked why looking at the changing projections.
“Well, you’ve been writing a love story and I think that stars, the night sky, everything about space seems romantic to me. There’s even a bunch of romantic stories regarding the stars we see at night.”
“Really what kind of stories?” Lisa’s interest was piqued.
“Well the one I like most is about Altair and Vega.” Jun who was holding a remote like thing pressed a buŧŧon, and the projection changed, showing a star-filled sky.
“You see those two stars, those are Altair and Vega and they have a pretty romantic story. The story changes a bit depending on what country you came from, but it basically goes like this.” After pointing out which stars were Altair and Vega, Jun stood side by side with Lisa as their shoulders touched while he continued to tell his story.
“You see Altair and Vega were said to be deeply in love with each other, but Vega’s parents didn’t approve of their relationship so they separated the two with the celestial river called the milky way.”
“That’s pretty sad…” Lisa wanted to ask why the parents didn’t approve of their relationship but decided to hold off the questioning and simply enjoy Jun’s story.
“Yes it is, but as the story goes on, the two who have been separated and long for each other looked so pitiful that every year on the seventh day of the seventh month the magpies who sympathize with them would flock so closely together as to form a bridge over the river. It is then the two lovers are reunited.”
“That’s both sad and romantic…” Lisa wanted to write it down but remembered that she didn’t bring her notebook. She then decided that she would do a little bit of research regarding Altair and Vega later.
Lisa was so distracted by the story she didn’t notice that Jun was already so close beside her. Jun at that moment changed the projection again this time showing Orion.
“Want to hear more?” Lisa nodded her head without looking at Jun since she couldn’t get her eyes off the projection.
“Now let me tell you about Orion and the Pleiades.”
While Jun was dazzling Lisa with his minor knowledge on astronomy which he crammed into his head last night, the observer of the two took a picture of them and sent it to Tang Wu.
…
After telling a few more stories about the stars, Jun looked at Lisa and said, “Hey Lisa, remember when you asked me why we went to the planetarium?”
“Yeah,” Lisa looked at Jun confused.
“Actually, at first I wanted to bring you to a garden. But I decided that this garden was better.” Jun then pressed another buŧŧon on the remote which once again changed the projection shown. It now turned into a beautiful starry sky with a little meteor shower going on.
“The garden called space is forever there and its flowers will never wilt. I hope that every time you look at a starry sky you will remember this day, this moment. Remember as I pluck out a flower from space and give it to you.”
When Jun said those words, he made an exaggerated action as if he truly was plucking out a star from the night sky. He then showed Lisa the object in his hand as he slowly opened it. There in his right hand was a shiny necklace that had a pendant in the shape of a star.
Lisa was a lost for words as Jun slowly put the necklace on her.
