Love Is So Sweet - Chapter 55
After Lisa woke up Jun called for the nurses who then called the doctor in charge. It didn’t take long for the doctor to arrive and check on Lisa. Once he was done doing his initial check the doctor told Lisa and Jun that she should take an EEG test tomorrow morning.
“So is she alright?” Jun asked looking a bit worried.
“There’s nothing to worry about, but as I said just in case she should get an EEG test tomorrow.”
The doctor then proceeded to talk to the nurse, after telling the nurse what to give the patient the doctor left.
Jun and Lisa were now the only ones in the room and it turned silent. Jun was about to say something but for some reason, he couldn’t speak. After understanding his own feelings about Lisa, Jun thought he could still stay the same, but he didn’t expect that learning the truth was affecting him more than he thought.
‘This is just idiotic, so I like this girl, so what? It’s not like this changes anything… Does it?’
On the other hand, Lisa was still confused about the dream she had. Her memory of the dream was getting a bit hazy but she was sure that it was about the past she wanted to forget.
‘I think I saw Jun in my dream… But that’s not possible I haven’t met Jun before.’
“Hey Jun, when you were in high school have you been to an arcade?” Jun who was trying to speak was surprised that Lisa spoke before he could say anything.
“Um… Yeah, I’ve been to the arcade. Me and my friends used to hang there all the time.”
“Did you ever play against a girl from a different school, that was good at fighting games and beat you in one?” Lisa wasn’t expecting Jun to actually answer yes so she asked a follow-up question a bit excited.
“I don’t remember that much, but I don’t think there was ever a time I lost a game back then. Truth be told back in the day I was the best in such games. Well, I still am, if you want maybe we can play sometime.” While Jun was talking about how good he was in playing video games, Lisa was having a weird feeling.
Most of what happened in her dream looked to be an accurate memory of the time, but only Jun was different. He was the only thing that was in her dream that didn’t happen in reality. What does that all mean?
“Hey, Lisa are you alright?”
“Oh, yeah I am… Sure let’s play a few games once I get discharged.” Lisa nodded her head.
“Are you sure that you’re alright? Do you want me to call a nurse?” Jun was getting closer and closer to Lisa, who suddenly raised her blanket and looked the other way.
“I’m alright just a little overwhelmed by what happened. I just want rest, while I’m trying to clear my head.” Once those words left Lisa’s mouth she regretted it.
‘What am I saying? What am I even doing? It’s Jun, why am I acting like this?’ While Lisa was confused in her own reaction, Jun was stunned for a bit and nodded his head.
“I see… Alright, I’ll just be sitting here if you need anything just tell me.” Jun was also surprised by Lisa’s reaction as he sat back down the chair beside Lisa’s bed.
‘Did I push too much? Was I too chatty? What’s happening?’ The night passed by while the two were confused by the whole situation.
