Love Is So Sweet - Chapter 61
While Jun and Matthew were playing in the arcade, Lisa was holed up in her room. Jennifer was pushed out of the apartment as Lisa said she wanted to be alone. Jennifer didn’t really want to leave Lisa alone in such a situation but forcing herself onto Lisa might have even more negative effects than positive. She didn’t understand what happened and the only ones who knew where Jun and Lisa. Both of whom didn’t want to tell her anything.
Jennifer was a bit concerned about what Lisa would do all alone. So she had her ears pressed onto the wall of her apartment and at the sign of any peculiarities, she would call an ambulance.
…
Lisa who was holed up in her room was still trying to calm herself down. So many things were happening that she couldn’t keep up. The problem with Edrea, her new novel, the fake relationship, the dream she had, and now the confession of Jun. Though all of those things were hard to deal with and to understand, what was troubling her the most was the confession. She only knew Jun for a few months, actually, it was bȧrėly a few months and now he was confessing to her.
She never really understood romantic love, which was one of the reasons she needed to research lovey-dovey things. She also didn’t believe in love at first sight, but falling in love after a few months, was that believable?
‘Why am I even thinking if it’s believable or not, am I doubting Jun? That Jun that was there for me and that protected me… He’s smart, confident, handsome, kind, and rich… Then why in the world did he choose to fall in love with me? I’m awkward, mentally unstable, I’m not that pretty, I’m pretty average in most things. So why does he like me? Also, do I like him?’
Now that she was able to calm down a bit, Lisa could finally think properly. She then asked herself the most fundamental question, “Am I in love with Jun?” Lisa started thinking about the time she met Jun until now. She did feel a sense of comfort from him and, she for some unknown reason could also feel a sense of security from him. Was that love?
But based on the shows and novels she had seen regarding romantic love wasn’t there suppose to be more passion in it? Lisa had no idea since she has never been romantically in love with anyone before.
She didn’t want to hurt Jun’s feelings, but she could not answer since she doesn’t know the answer. Also, the fear she felt in trusting someone fully was there. She didn’t want to have that kind of relationship where she can’t fully trust her partner. So before she could love someone like that she needed to heal herself from her past.
‘Still, I don’t want to hurt Jun’s feelings… I also can’t just deny him like that. What should I do? Should I just answer him with a yes? If I can have fake a relationship with him, maybe I can have a real relationship as well. During the time I’ll be with him maybe at some point I would feel the same way as him. Maybe I can truly fall in love as well…’
Lisa thought about it for a while and then shook her head. She couldn’t deceive Jun like that not after he bȧrėd his heart to her like that. She couldn’t reject him, but she couldn’t accept his love as well.
“What should I do?…” Lisa rolled around her bed and after a short while she took out her notebook and started to write. She started to add the events that happened today into her story. She then wrote a note at the end of the chapter asking her fans what they think the leading lady should do.
